"۞ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِلْكَافِرِينَ"

Faman azlamu mimman kazaba 'alal laahi wa kazzaba bissidqi iz jaaa'ah; alaisa fee Jahannama maswal lilkaafireen

Who does greater wrong than he who tells a lie against God, and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there no place for unbelievers in Hell?

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَالَّذِي جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ ۙ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ"

Wallazee jaaa'a bissidqi wa saddaqa biheee ulaaa'ika humul muttaqoon

He who brings the truth and verifies it, -- such are the people who are God-fearing.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 33

"لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ"

Lahum maa yashaaa'oona 'inda Rabbihim; zaalika jazaaa'ul muhsineen

They shall have what they wish from their Lord. This is the recompense for the good,

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 34

"لِيُكَفِّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ"

Liyukaffiral laahu 'anhum aswa allazee 'amiloo wa yajziyahum ajrahum bi ahsanil lazee kaano ya'maloon

That God may absolve them of their sins and reward them for the best that they had done.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 35

"أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِالَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ"

Alaisal laahu bikaafin 'abdahoo wa yukhawwi foonaka billazeena min doonih; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad

Is not God sufficient for His devotee? Still they frighten you with others apart from Him. Whoever God allows to go astray has none to show him the way.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انْتِقَامٍ"

Wa mai yahdil laahu famalahoo mim mudlil; alai sal laahu bi'azeezin zin tiqaam

And none can lead him astray who has been guided by God. Is not God all-mighty, the lord of retribution?

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ"

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunal laah; qul afara'aitum maa tad'oona min doonil laahi in araadaniyal laahu bidurrin hal hunna kaashi faatu durriheee aw araadanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikaatu rahmatih; qul hasbiyal laahu 'alaihi tatawakkalul mutawakkiloon

If you ask them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will answer: "God." Say: "Then just think. Can those whom you worship apart from God remove the distress God is pleased to visit upon me, or withhold a blessing God is pleased to favour me with?? Say: "God is all-sufficient for me. The trusting place their trust in Him."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 38

"قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ"

Qul yaa qawmi'maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun fasawfa ta'lamoon

Say: "O people, act as best you can on your part, I am acting too. You will come to know in time

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 39

"مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ"

Mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem (section 4)

Who suffers the shameful punishment, and on whom falls the everlasting torment.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 40

"إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ"

Innaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba linnaasi bilhaqq; famanih tadaa falinafsihee wa man dalla fa innamaa yadillu 'alaihaa wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel (section 4)

We have Sent down this Book to you with the truth for all mankind. So, he who comes to guidance does so for himself, and he who goes astray does so for his own loss; on you does not lie their guardianship.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 41

"اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْأُخْرَىٰ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ"

Allaahu yatawaffal anfusa heena mawtihaa wallatee lam tamut fee manaamihaa fa yumsikul latee qadaa 'alaihal mawta wa yursilul ukhraaa ilaaa ajalim musammaa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawmai yatafakkarroon

God gathers up the souls of those who die, and of those who do not die, in their sleep; then He keeps back those ordained for death, and sends the others back for an appointed term. Surely there are signs in this for those who reflect.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 42

"أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ"

Amit takhazoo min doonillaahi shufa'aaa'; qul awalaw kaanoo laa yamlikoona shai'aw wa laa ya'qiloon

Have they appointed intercessors other than God? Say: "Even though they have no power in the least, nor do they understand?"

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 43

"قُلْ لِلَّهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيعًا ۖ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ"

Qul lillaahish shafaa'atu jamee'aa; lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi summa ilaihi turja'oon

Say: "God?s is the intercession entirely; His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; then to Him you will return."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ"

Wa izaa zukiral laahu wahdahush ma azzat quloobul lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati wa izaa zukiral lazeena min dooniheee izaa hum yastabshiroon

When God alone is mentioned the hearts of those who do not believe in the life to come, are filled with resentment. But when others are mentioned apart from God, they begin to rejoice.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 45

"قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ"

Qulil laahumma faatiras samaawaati wal ardi 'Aalimal Ghaibi washshahaadati Anta tahkumu baina 'ibaadika fee maa kaanoo fee yakhtalifoon

Say: "O God, the originator of the heavens and the earth, the knower of the unknown and the known, You alone will judge between Your creatures for things they differed about."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لَافْتَدَوْا بِهِ مِنْ سُوءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَبَدَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَحْتَسِبُونَ"

Wa law anna lillazeena zalamoo maa fil ardi jamee'anw wa mislahoo ma'ahoo laftadaw bihee min sooo'il azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa badaa lahum minal laahi maa lam yakkoonoo yahtasiboon

Even if the sinners possessed whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and as much more, they would offer it to ransom themselves from the torment of the Day of Resurrection; yet what they did not even imagine would appear to them from God;

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ"

Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa kasaboo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

And the evil of what they had earned would become visible to them; and what they used to mock would surround them from all sides.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 48

"فَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنْسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَاهُ نِعْمَةً مِنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ ۚ بَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Fa izaa massal insaana durrun da'aanaa summa izaa khawwalnaahu ni'matam minna qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo 'alaa 'ilm; bal hiya fitna tunw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

When a man is in trouble, he prays to God; but when We bestow a favour on him he says: "It has come to me through my acumen." In fact, this is an illusion, but most men do not know.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 49

"قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ"

Qad qaalahul lazeena min qablihim famaaa aghnaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon

Those before them had also said so, and yet nothing of what they did availed them in the least.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 50

"فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ"

Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo; wallazeena zalamoo min haaa'ulaaa'i sa yuzeebuhum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo wa maa hum bimu'jizeen

Then the worst of what they had done overtook them. So will the evil deeds of those who are sinners among them recoil back on them. They cannot get the better (of Us).

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 51

"أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Awalam ya'lamooo annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqamai yu'minoon (section 5)

Do they not know that God enhances or restricts the provision of any one He will. Surely there are signs in this for people who believe.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 52

"۞ قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ"

Qul yaa'ibaadiyal lazeena asrafoo 'alaaa anfusihim laa taqnatoo mirrahmatil laah; innal laaha yaghfiruz zunooba jamee'aa; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem

Say: "O creatures of God, those of you who have acted against your own interests should not be disheartened of the mercy of God. Surely God forgives all sins. He is all-forgiving and all-merciful.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 53

"وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنْصَرُونَ"

Wa aneebooo ilaa Rabbikum wa aslimoo lahoo min qabli ai yaatiyakumul 'azaabu summa laa tunsaroon

Turn towards your Lord and obey Him before the punishment comes upon you when you will not be helped.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 54

"وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ"

Wattabi'ooo ahsana maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum min qabli aiyaatiyakumal 'azaabu baghtatanw wa antum laa tash'uroon

Follow the best of what has been revealed to you by your Lord before the punishment overtakes you suddenly and you are caught unawares,

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 55

"أَنْ تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْتُ فِي جَنْبِ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ"

An taqoola nafsuny yaahasrataa 'alaa maa farrattu fee jambil laahi wa in kuntu laminas saakhireen

Lest a soul should say: "Alas, I was heedless of God and only laughed;"

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 56

"أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ"

Aw taqoola law annal laaha hadaanee lakuntu minal muttaqeen

Or say: "If only God had guided me I would have been a man of fear and piety;"

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 57

"أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي كَرَّةً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ"

Aw taqoola heena taral 'azaaba law anna lee karratan fa akoona minal muhsineen

Or say on seeing the punishment: "If I could only return I would be among the good."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 58

"بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَتْكَ آيَاتِي فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ"

Balaa qad jaaa'atka Asyaatee fakazzabta bihaa wastak barta wa kunta minal kaafireen

Why, My revelations had come to you, but you denied them and were filled with pride, and were among the disbelievers.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 59

"وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَرَى الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُمْ مُسْوَدَّةٌ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ"

Wa Yawmal Qiyaamati taral lazeena kazaboo 'alallaahi wujoohuhum muswaddah; alaisa fee Hahannama maswal lilmutakabbireen

If you see those who had imputed lies to God on the Day of Resurrection, black would be their faces (with disgrace). Is there not a place in Hell for the arrogant?

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 60

"وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ"

Wa yunajjil laahul lazee nat taqaw bimafaazatihim laa yamassuhumus sooo'u wa laa hum yahzanoon

God would rescue those who fear Him (and guide them) to places of safety. Neither will evil touch them nor regret.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 61

"اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ"

Allaahu khaaliqu kulli shai'inw wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'inw Wakeel

God is the creator of all things, and He is the guarantor of all things.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 62

"لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ"

Lahoo maqaaleedus sa maawaati wal ard; wallazeena kafaroo bi ayaatil laahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon (section 6)

He has the keys of the heavens and the earth; and those who deny the revelations of God will be losers.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 63

"قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ"

Qul afaghairal laahi taamurooonneee a'budu ayyuhal jaahiloon

Say: "O you ignorant people, do you bid me to worship someone other than God?

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 64

"وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ"

Wa laqad oohiya ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablika la in ashrakta la yahbatanna 'amalu ka wa latakoonanna minal khaasireen

Surely you have been commanded, as those before you were: "If you associate (any one with God), wasted will be all your deeds, arid you will perish."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 65

"بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ"

Balil laahha fa'bud wa kum minash shaakireen

So, you should worship only God, arid be among the grateful.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 66

"وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ"

Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadrihee wal ardu jamee 'an qabdatuhoo Yawmal Qiyaamit wassamaawaatu matwiyyaatum biyameenih; Subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'amma yushrikoon

They do not esteem God as is rightly due to Him. The whole earth would be a fistful of His on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens would be rolled up in His right hand. Too immaculate is He and too high for what they associate with Him!

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 67

"وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَىٰ فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ"

Wa nufikha fis Soori fas'iqa man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaa'al lahu summa nufikha feehi ukhraa fa izaa hum qiyaamuny yanzuroon

When the trumpet blast is sounded whoever is in the heavens and the earth will swoon away, except those God please. When the blast is sounded the second time, they will stand up all expectant.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 68

"وَأَشْرَقَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ"

Wa ashraqatil ardu binoori Rabbihaa wa wudi'al Kitaabu wa jeee'a bin nabiyyeena wash shuhadaaa'i wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa hum laa yuzlamoon

The earth will light up with the effulgence of her Lord; and the ledger (of account) will be placed (in each man?s hand), and the apostles and the witnesses will be called, and judgement passed between them equitably, and no wrong will be done to them.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 69

"وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ"

Wa wuffiyat kullu nafsim maa 'amilat wa Huwa a'lamubimaa yaf'aloon (section 7)

Each soul will be paid in full for what it had done. He is cognisant of what you do.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 70

"وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ"

Wa seeqal lazeena kafaroon ilaa jahannama zumaran battaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa alam yaatikum Rusulum minkum yatloona 'alaikum Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziroonakum liqaaa'a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo balaa wa laakin haqqat kalimatul 'azaabi 'alal kaafireen

The unbelievers will be driven into Hell in groups till, when they reach it and its doors are opened up, its keepers will say to them: "Did not apostles of your own come to you reciting your Lord?s revelations, warning you of this your day of Doom?" They will answer: "Yes;" but the sentence of punishment was justified against the unbelievers.

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 71

"قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ"

Qeelad khuloo abwaaba jahannama khaalideena feeha fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen

"Enter the gates of Hell," they will be told, "and there abide for ever." How grievous a destination for the haughty!

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 72

"وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ"

Wa seeqal lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum ilal Jannati zumaran hattaaa izaa jaaa'oohaa wa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaa salaamun 'alaikum tibtum fadkhuloohaa khaalideen

Those who were mindful of their duty to their Lord will be driven in groups to Paradise, till they reach it and its gates are opened, and its keepers say to them: "Peace be on you; you are the joyous. So enter here to live for ever."

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 73

"وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهُ وَأَوْرَثَنَا الْأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاءُ ۖ فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ"

Wa qaalull hamdulillaahil lazee sadaqanaa wa'dahoo wa awrasanal arda natabaw wa-u minal jannati haisu nashaaa'u fani'ma ajrul 'aamileen

They will say: "All praise be to God Who has fulfilled the promise He had made to us, and bequeathed to us this land for dwelling in the garden wheresoever we like." How excellent the recompense for those who act!

Surah Number : 39 , Ayat Number : 74

"وَتَرَى الْمَلَائِكَةَ حَافِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Wa taral malaaa'ikata haaaffeena min hawlil 'Arshi yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa qeelal hamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen (section 8)

You will see the angels hover round the Throne, singing the praises of their Lord; and justice will be done between them equitably, and it would be said: "All praise to God the Lord of all the worlds."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 1

"تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ"

Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil Azeezil 'Aleem

The revelation of this Book is from God the all-mighty and all-knowing,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 2

"غَافِرِ الذَّنْبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ الْعِقَابِ ذِي الطَّوْلِ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ"

Ghaafiriz zambi wa qaabilit tawbi shadeedil 'iqaabi zit tawli laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa ilaihil maseer

Forgiver of trespasses, acceptor of repentance, severe of retribution, lord of power. There is no god but He. Towards Him is your destination.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 3

"مَا يُجَادِلُ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِي الْبِلَادِ"

Maa yujaadilu feee Aayaatil laahi illal lazeena kafaroo falaa yaghrurka taqallubuhum fil bilaad

Only the unbelievers dispute the revelations of God. So do not let their activities in the land deceive you.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 4

"كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ ۖ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ"

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohinw wal Ahzaabu mim ba'dihim wa hammat kullu ummatim bi Rasoolihim liyaa khuzoobhu wa jaadaloo bilbaatili liyudhidoo bihil haqqa fa akhaztuhum fakifa kaana 'iqaab

The people of Noah had denied before them, and many factions after them. Every nation has intrigued against its apostle and afflicted him, and argued with false arguments to condemn the truth. Then I seized them. How was then My retribution!

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ"

Wa kazaalika haqqat Kalimatu Rabbika 'alal lazeena kafarooo annahum Ashaabun Naar

In this way the sentence of your Lord against the infidels that they would be the inmates of Hell, was justified.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 6

"الَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ الْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ"

Allazeena yahmiloonal 'Arsha wa man hawlahoo yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa yu'minoona bihee wa yastaghfiroona lillazeena aamanoo Rabbanaa wasi'ta kulla shai'ir rahmatanw wa 'ilman faghfir lillazeena taaboo wattaba'oo sabeelaka wa qihim 'azaabal Jaheem

The bearers of the Throne, and those around it, sing the praises of their Lord and believe in Him, and seek forgiveness for those who believe: "O our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge embrace everything; so forgive those who turn to You in repentance and follow Your path; and preserve them from the torment of Hell.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 7

"رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدْتَهُمْ وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ"

Rabbannaa wa adkhilhum Jannaati 'adninil latee wa'attahum wa man salaha min aabaaa'ihim wa azwaajihim wa zurriyyaatihim; innaka Antal 'Azeezul Hakeem

Admit them, O Lord, to the garden of Eden which You promised them, and those of their fathers, spouses and progeny who are upright. You are truly all-mighty and all-wise.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ وَمَنْ تَقِ السَّيِّئَاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ"

Wa qihimus saiyi-aat; wa man taqis saiyi-aati Yawma'izin faqad rahimtah; wa zaalika huwal fawzul 'azeem (section 1)

Protect them from evil; and whosoever You preserve from evil on that Day shall have surely received Your mercy. This will be the great triumph."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 9

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ مَقْتِكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ"

Innal lazeena kafaroo yunaadawna lamaqtul laahi akbaru mim maqtikum anfusakum iz tud'awna ilal eemaani fatakfuroon

Those who disbelieve will certainly be told: "God?s displeasure was greater than your disgust of your selves when you were called to belief and refused to believe."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 10

"قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ"

Qaaloo Rabbanaaa amat tanasnataini wa ahyaitanas nataini fa'tarafnaa bizunoo binaa fahal ilaa khuroojim min sabeel

They say: "O Lord, twice You made us die, and twice You made us live. We admit our sins. Is there still a way out for us?"

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 11

"ذَٰلِكُمْ بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا ۚ فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ"

Zaalikum bi annahooo izaa du'iyal laahu wahdahoo kafartum wa iny yushrak bihee tu'minoo; falhukmu lillaahil 'Aliyyil Kabeer

This has come upon you because when God alone was invoked you disbelieved; but when partners were associated with Him, you believed. But judgement belongs to God, the all-high and supreme.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 12

"هُوَ الَّذِي يُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ رِزْقًا ۚ وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَنْ يُنِيبُ"

Huwal lazee yureekum Aayaatihee wa yunazzilu lakum minas samaaa'i rizqaa; wa maa tatazakkaru illaa mai yuneeb

It is He who shows you His signs, and sends you food from the heavens. Yet none takes a warning except him who turns to Him.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 13

"فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ"

Fad'ul laaha mukhliseena lahud deena wa law karihal kaafiroon

So call on God with exclusive obedience, howsoever the unbelievers may dislike it.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 14

"رَفِيعُ الدَّرَجَاتِ ذُو الْعَرْشِ يُلْقِي الرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ لِيُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِ"

Rafee'ud darajaati zul 'Arshi yulqir rooha min amrihee 'alaa mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee liyunzira yawmat talaaq

Most exalted of position, Lord of power, He directs inspiration by His command to any of His creatures as He will, to warn (men) of the Day of Meeting,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 15

"يَوْمَ هُمْ بَارِزُونَ ۖ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ شَيْءٌ ۚ لِمَنِ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ۖ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ"

Yawma hum baarizoona laa yakhfaa 'alal laahi minhum shai; limanil mulkul Yawma lillaahil Waahidil Qahaar

The day when they will come out (of their graves), with nothing of them hidden from God. Whose then will be the kingdom? -- God?s, the one, the omnipotent.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 16

"الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۚ لَا ظُلْمَ الْيَوْمَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ"

Al-Yawma tujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa kasabat; laa zulmal Yawm; innal laaha saree'ul hisaab

Each soul will be recompensed that Day for what it had earned. There will be no depriving on that Day. Surely God is swift at reckoning.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِينَ ۚ مَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ يُطَاعُ"

Wa anzirhum yawmal aazifati izil quloobu ladal hanaajiri kaazimeen; maa lizzaalimeena min hameeminw wa laa shafee'iny-yutaa'

Warn them of the coming day inevitable, when hearts would jump to the throats, filling them with anguish. The sinners will have neither friend nor intercessor whose (word) will be heeded.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 18

"يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ"

Ya'lamu khaaa'inatal a'yuni wa maa tukhfis sudoor

Known to Him is the treachery of the eye, and what the breasts conceal.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَاللَّهُ يَقْضِي بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَيْءٍ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ"

Wallaahu yaqdee bilhaqq, wallazeena yad'oona min doonihee laa yaqdoona bishai'; innal laaha Huwas Samee'ul Baseer (section 2)

God decides with justice. But those they call apart from Him can not adjudge in the least. Verily God is all-hearing, all-perceiving.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 20

"۞ أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاقٍ"

Awalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena kaanoo min qablihim; kaanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatanw wa aasaaran fil ardi fa akhazahumul laahu bizunoobihim wa maa kaana lahum minal laahi minw waaq

Have they not travelled on the earth that they could see what happened to those before them? They were greater in strength than they, and have left behind them traces on the earth. Yet they were seized by God for their sins, and had none to protect them against God.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 21

"ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَتْ تَأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَكَفَرُوا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ"

Zaalika bi annahum kaanat taateehim Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati fakafaroo fa akhazahumul laah; innahoo qawiyyun shadeedul 'iqaab

This was so because their apostles came with clear proofs to them, but they refused to believe. So they were seized by God. Surely God is powerful, unrelenting in retribution.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 22

"وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa wa sultaanim mubeen

We sent Moses with Our signs and clear authority

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 23

"إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَقَارُونَ فَقَالُوا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ"

Ilaa Fir'awna wa Haamaana qa Qaaroona faqaaloo saahirun kazzaab

To Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun. But they said: "He is only a deceiving sorcerer."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 24

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا اقْتُلُوا أَبْنَاءَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ وَاسْتَحْيُوا نِسَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَمَا كَيْدُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ"

Falamuna jaaa'ahum bil haqqi min 'indinaa qaaluq tulooo abnaaa'al lazeena aamanoo ma'ahoo wastahyoo nisaaa'ahum; wa maa kaidul kaafireena illaa fee dalaal

And when he brought the truth to them from Us, they said: "Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and spare their women." But the unbelievers? stratagem is bound to fail.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَنْ يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ"

Wa qaala Fir'awnu zarooneee aqtul Moosaa walyad'u Rabbahoo inneee akhaafu ai yubaddila deenakum aw ai yuzhira fil ardil fasaad

"Let me kill Moses," the Pharaoh said, "and let him call to his Lord. I fear that he will change your faith and spread corruption in the land."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ إِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ"

Wa qaala Moosaaaa innee 'uztu bi Rabbee wa Rabbikum min kulli mutakabbiril laayu'minu bi Yawmil Hisaab (section 3)

Moses said: "I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every insolent imposter who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَانَهُ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَنْ يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُ ۖ وَإِنْ يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبْكُمْ بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ"

Wa qaala rajulum mu'minummin Aali Fir'awna yaktumu eemaanahooo ataqtuloona rajulan ai yaqoola Rabbi yal laahu wa qad jaaa'akum bil haiyinaati mir Rabbikum wa iny yaku kaaziban fa'alaihi kazi buhoo wa iny yaku saadiqany yasibkum ba'dul lazee ya'idukum innal laaha laa yahdee man huwa musrifun kaazaab

A believer from the House of Pharaoh who had kept his faith to himself, said: "Will you kill a man because he says: ?My Lord is God,? when he has brought clear signs from his Lord to you? If he is a liar his lie will recoil back on him; but in case he speaks the truth, then what he predicts will befall you. Surely God does not show the way to the shameful liar.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 28

"يَا قَوْمِ لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ظَاهِرِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَنْ يَنْصُرُنَا مِنْ بَأْسِ اللَّهِ إِنْ جَاءَنَا ۚ قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَا أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَرَىٰ وَمَا أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ"

Yaa qawmi lakumul mulkul yawma zaahireena fil ardi famai yansurunaa mim baasil laahi in jaaa'anaa; qaala Fir'awnu maaa ureekum illaa maaa araa wa maaa ahdeekum illaa sabeelar Rashaad

O my people, authority is yours today being the most powerful in the land; but who will save us from the scourge of God if it fall upon us?" "I show you," said the Pharaoh, "only what I see (is right), and guide you but to the right path."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِثْلَ يَوْمِ الْأَحْزَابِ"

Wa qaalal lazee aamana yaa qawmi inneee akhaafu 'alaikum misla yawmil Ahzaab

But the man of belief said: "O my people, what I fear for you is the like of what befell the communities (of old).

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 30

"مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِلْعِبَادِ"

Misla daabi qawmi Noohinw wa 'aadinw wa Samooda wallazeena mim ba'dihim; wa mal laahu yureedu zulmal lil'ibaad

Like the people of Noah, ?Ad and Thamud, and those that came after them. God does not want to be unjust to His creatures.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَيَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ التَّنَادِ"

Wa yaa qawmi inneee akhaafu 'alaikum yawmat tanaad

O my people, what I fear for you is the day of gathering, crying and calling,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 32

"يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ ۗ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ"

Yawma tuwalloona mud bireena maa lakum minal laahi min 'aasim; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad

The day you will turn your backs and flee, with none to defend you against God. Whoever God allows to go astray has none to show him the way.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِنْ قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا جَاءَكُمْ بِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ رَسُولًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُرْتَابٌ"

Wa laqad jaaa'akum Yoosufu min qablu bil baiyinaati famaa ziltum fee shakkim mimaa jaaa'akum bihee hattaaa izaa halaka qultum lai yab asal laahu mim ba'dihee Rasoolaa; kazaalika yudillul laahu man huwa Musrifum murtaab

Joseph had indeed come to you before with clear proofs, but you did not cease to doubt what he had brought until he died, when you said: ?God will not send a prophet after him.? That is how God leads the waster, the sceptic astray.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 34

"الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ ۖ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ"

Allazeena yujaadiloona feee Aaayaatil laahi bighairi sultaanin ataahum kabura maqtan 'indal laahi wa 'indal lazeena aamanoo; kazaalika yatha'ul laahu 'alaa kulli qalbi mutakabbirin jabbaar

Those who dispute God?s revelations, with no authority having come to them, (are) greatly odious in the sight of God, and the sight of those who believe. That is how God seals every proud and perverse heart."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا هَامَانُ ابْنِ لِي صَرْحًا لَعَلِّي أَبْلُغُ الْأَسْبَابَ"

Wa qaala Fir'awnu yaa Haamaanub-ni lee sarhal la'alleee ablughul asbaab

The Pharaoh said: "O Haman, build me a lofty tower that I may perhaps find the means

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 36

"أَسْبَابَ السَّمَاوَاتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ كَاذِبًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَصُدَّ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ ۚ وَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ إِلَّا فِي تَبَابٍ"

Asbaabas samaawaati faattali'a ilaaa ilaahi Moosaa wa innee la azunnuhoo kaazibaa; wa kazaalika zuyyina li-Fir'awna sooo'u 'amalihee wa sudda 'anis sabeel; wa maa kaidu Fir'awna illaa fee tabaab (section 4)

Of reaching the tracts of heaven and look at the god of Moses, though I think that he is a liar." Thus were the evil deeds of Pharaoh made to look attractive to him, and he was hindered from the path. So the stratagem of Pharaoh was bound to perish.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُونِ أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ"

Wa qaalal lazeee aamana yaa qawmit tabi'ooni ahdikum sabeelar rashaad

The man who believed said: "O my people, follow me; I will guide you to the right path.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 38

"يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَإِنَّ الْآخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ الْقَرَارِ"

Yaa qawmi innamaa haazihil hayaatud dunyaa mataa'unw wa innal Aakhirata hiya daarul qaraar

O people, the life of this world is ephemeral; but enduring is the abode of the Hereafter.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 39

"مَنْ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً فَلَا يُجْزَىٰ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ يُرْزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ"

Man 'amila saiyi'atan falaa yujzaaa illaa mislahaa wa man 'amila saaliham min zakarin aw unsaa wa huwa mu'minun fa ulaaa'ika yadkhuloonal Jannata yurzaqoona feehaa bighairi hisaab

Whoever does evil will be requited in accordance with it; but whoever does right, whether man or woman, and is a believer, will enter Paradise, where they will have provision in abundance.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 40

"۞ وَيَا قَوْمِ مَا لِي أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى النَّجَاةِ وَتَدْعُونَنِي إِلَى النَّارِ"

Wa yaa qawmi maa leee ad'ookum ilan najaati wa tad'oonaneee ilan Naar

O my people, what is wrong with me that I am calling you to preservation, while you invite me to the Fire!

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 41

"تَدْعُونَنِي لِأَكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَأُشْرِكَ بِهِ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَأَنَا أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الْعَزِيزِ الْغَفَّارِ"

Tad'oonanee li-akfura billaahi wa ushrika bihee maa laisa lee bihee 'ilmunw wa ana ad'ookum ilal'Azeezil Ghaffaar

You are asking me to disbelieve in God, and to associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, yet I invite you to the all-mighty, all-forgiving.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 42

"لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَعْوَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ"

Laa jarama annamaa tad'oonanee ilaihi laisa lahoo da'watun fid dunyaa wa laa fil Aakhirati wa anna maraddanaaa ilal laahi wa annal musrifeenahum Ashaabun Naar

What you are calling me to is surely not worth the calling in this world or in the next, because our returning is to God; and because the transgressors will be inmates of Hell.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 43

"فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ"

Fasatazkuroona maaa aqoolu lakum; wa ufawwidu amreee ilal laah; innallaaha baseerum bil'ibaad

You will remember what I say in time to come; I submit my case to the judgement of God. Surely God keeps an eye on His creatures."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 44

"فَوَقَاهُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا ۖ وَحَاقَ بِآلِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ"

Fa waqaahul laahu saiyiaati maa makaroo wa haaqa bi Aali-Fir'awna sooo'ul 'azaab

So God preserved him from the evil they were planning; and a dreadful doom encompassed the people of Pharaoh:

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 45

"النَّارُ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا غُدُوًّا وَعَشِيًّا ۖ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ أَدْخِلُوا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ"

An Naaru yu'radoona 'alaihaa ghuduwwanw wa 'ashiyyanw wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'aatu adkhilooo Aala Fir'awna ashaddal 'azaab

Fire, to which they are exposed morning and evening. The day the Hour is proclaimed (it will be said:) "Admit the people of Pharaoh to the severest punishment,"

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَإِذْ يَتَحَاجُّونَ فِي النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ الضُّعَفَاءُ لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُغْنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبًا مِنَ النَّارِ"

Wa iz yatahaaajjoona fin Naari fa-yaqoolud du'afaaa'u lillazeenas takbarooo innaa kunnaa lakum taba'an fahal antum mughnoona annaa naseebam minan Naar

As they will noisily argue in the Fire, the weaker ones will say to the arrogant: "We were your followers, so will you take over some of our share of the fire?"

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 47

"قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ"

Qaalal lazeenas takbarooo innaa kullun feehaaa innal laaha qad hakama baynal'ibaad

The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِنَ الْعَذَابِ"

Wa qaalal lazeena fin Naari likhazanati Jahannamad-'oo Rabbakum yukhaffif 'annaa yawmam minal 'azaab

Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 49

"قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۚ قَالُوا فَادْعُوا ۗ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ"

Qaalooo awalam taku taateekum Rusulukum bilbaiyinaati qaaloo balaa' qaaloo fad'oo; wa maa du'aaa'ul kaafireena illaa fee dalaal (section 5)

They will say: "Did not your apostles come to you with clear proofs?" They will answer: "Indeed, they did." "Then pray," will (the warders) say. But the praying of unbelievers will be all in vain.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 50

"إِنَّا لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ"

Innaa lanansuru Rusulanaa wallazeena aamanoo fil hayaatid dunyaa wa Yawma yaqoomul ashhaad

We will certainly help Our messengers and those who believe, in this world, and on the day the witnesses take their stand,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 51

"يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ"

Yawma laa yanfa'uz zaalimeena ma'ziratuhum wa lahumul la'natu wa lahum soooud daar

The day upon which their excuses will not benefit the evil-doers, and the condemnation and evil abode will be theirs.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 52

"وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْهُدَىٰ وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ"

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal hudaa wa awrasnaa Baneee Israaa 'eelal Kitaab

Verily We showed Moses the way, and bequeathed the Book to the children of Israel,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 53

"هُدًى وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ"

Hudanw wa zikraa li ulil albaab

A guidance and reminder for men of wisdom.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ"

Fasbir inna wa'dal laahi haqqunw wastaghfir lizambika wa sabbih bihamdi Rabbika bil'ashiyyi wal ibkaar

So persevere; the promise of God is true; and seek forgiveness for your sins, and chant the praises of your Lord evening and morning.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 55

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ ۙ إِنْ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ إِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَا هُمْ بِبَالِغِيهِ ۚ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ"

Innal lazeena yujaadi loona feee Aayaatil laahi bighairi sultaanin ataahum in fee sudoorihim illaa kibrum maa hum bibaaligheeh; fasta'iz billaahi innahoo Huwas Samee'ul Baseer

Verily those who argue in the matter of God?s revelations, without authority having reached them, have nothing but pride in their hearts, and they will not achieve their end. So take refuge in God: Surely He is all-hearing and all-seeing.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 56

"لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Lakhalqus samaawaati wal ardi akbaru min khalqin naasi wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed of greater magnitude than the creation of mankind; but most men do not understand.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 57

"وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَلَا الْمُسِيءُ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ"

Wa maa yastawil a'maa walbaseeru wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa lal museee'; qaleelam maa tatazakkaroon

The blind and the seeing are surely not alike, nor those who believe and act rightly and those who do evil. Little do you reflect!

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 58

"إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Innas Saa'ata la aatiyatul laa raiba feehaa wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa yu'minoon

The Hour will certainly come; there is no mystery about it; but most men do not believe.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 59

"وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ"

Wa qaala Rabbukumud 'ooneee astajib lakum; innal lazeena yastakbiroona an 'ibaadatee sa yadkhuloona jahannama daakhireen (Section 6)

Your Lord has said: "Call to Me that I may answer your call. Surely those who disdain worshipping Me will enter Hell, disgraced."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 60

"اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ"

Allaahul lazee ja'ala lakumul laila litqaskunoo feehi wannahaara mubsiraa; innal laaha lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa yashkuroon

It is God who made the night for you to rest, the day to make things visible. Indeed God is gracious to men, but most men are not grateful.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 61

"ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ"

Zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum khaaliqu kulli shai'in; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tu'fakoon

He is God your Lord, creator of everything. There is no god but He. How then do you turn away (from Him)?

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 62

"كَذَٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ"

Kazaalika yu'fakul lazeena kaanoo bi Aayaatil laahi yajhadoon

Only they are turned away thus who deny the signs of God.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 63

"اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Allaahul lazee ja'ala lakumul arda qaraaranw wassa maaa'a binaaa'anw wa sawwarakum fa ahsana suwarakum wa razaqakum minat taiyibaat; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum fatabaarakal laahu Rabbul 'aalameen

It is God who made the earth a dwelling for you, and the sky a vaulted roof, who fashioned you and gave you excellent form and provided you with clean and wholesome things. He is God, your Lord. So blessed be God, the Lord of all the worlds.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 64

"هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۗ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Huwal Hayyu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fad'oohu mukh liseena lahudeen; alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

He is the living. There is no god but He. Therefore pray to Him with obedience all-exclusive. Praise be to God, the Lord of all the worlds.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 65

"۞ قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِنْ رَبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Qul innee nuheetu an a'budal lazeena tad'oona min doonil laahi lammaa jaaa'a niyal baiyinaatu mir Rabbee wa umirtu an uslima li Rabbil 'aalameen

Say: "I am forbidden to worship those you call apart from God, since clear signs have come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded to submit to the Lord of all the worlds."

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 66

"هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا شُيُوخًا ۚ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا أَجَلًا مُسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ"

Huwal lazee khalaqakum min turaabin summa min nutfatin summa min 'alaqatin summa yukhrijukum tiflan summa litablughooo ashuddakum summa litakoonoo shuyookhaa; wa minkum mai yutawaffaa min qablu wa litablughooo ajalam musam manw-wa la'allakum ta'qiloon

It is He who created you from dust, then a drop of semen, then the embryo; afterwards He brings you forth as a child; then you attain the age of manhood, and then reach old age. But some of you die before you reach the appointed term that you may haply understand.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 67

"هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ"

Huwal lazee yuhyee wa yumeetu fa izaa qadaaa amran fa innamaa yaqoolu lahoo kun fa yakoon (section 7)

It is He who gives you life and death. When He creates a thing, He has only to say: "Be," and it is.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 68

"أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ أَنَّىٰ يُصْرَفُونَ"

Alam tara ilal lazeena yujaadiloona feee Aayaatil laahi annaa yusrafoon

Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away?

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 69

"الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِالْكِتَابِ وَبِمَا أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِ رُسُلَنَا ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ"

Allazeena kazzaboo bil Kitaabi wa bimaa arsalnaa bihee Rusulanaa fasawfa ya'lamoon

Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 70

"إِذِ الْأَغْلَالُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَالسَّلَاسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ"

Izil aghlaalu feee a'naaqi-him wassalaasilu yashaboon

When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 71

"فِي الْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِي النَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ"

Fil hameemi summa fin Naari Yasjaroon

Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 72

"ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ"

Summaa qeela lahum ayna maa kuntum tushrikoon

They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 73

"مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا بَلْ لَمْ نَكُنْ نَدْعُو مِنْ قَبْلُ شَيْئًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَافِرِينَ"

Min doonil laahi qaaloo dalloo 'annaa bal lam nakun nad'oo min qablu shai'aa; kazaalika yudillul laahul kaafireen

Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 74

"ذَٰلِكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ"

Zaalikum bimaa kuntum tafrahoona fil ardi bighairil haqqi wa bimaa kuntum tamrahoon

"This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 75

"ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ"

Udkhulooo abwaaba Jahannama khaalideena feehaa fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen

So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant!

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 76

"فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ"

Fasbir inna wa'dal laahi haqq; fa immaa nuriyannak ba'dal lazee na'i duhum aw natawaffayannaka fa ilainaa yurja'oon

So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 77

"وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ لَمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ ۗ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِآيَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قُضِيَ بِالْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ"

Wa laqad arsalnaa Rusulam min qablika minhum man qasasnaa 'alaika wa minhum mal lam naqsus 'alaik; wa maa kaana li Rasoolin any yaatiya bi Aayatin illaa bi iznil laah; fa izaa jaaa'a amrul laahi qudiya bilhaqqi wa khasira hunaalikal mubtiloon (section 8)

Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 78

"اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامَ لِتَرْكَبُوا مِنْهَا وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ"

Allaahul lazee ja'ala lakumul an'aama litarkaboo minhaa wa minhaa taakuloon

It is God who made the cattle for you so that some you ride and some you eat.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 79

"وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ"

Wa lakum feehaa manaafi'u wa litablughoo 'alaihaa haajatan fee sudoorikum wa 'alaihaa wa 'alal fulki tuhmaloon

There are advantages for you in them, so that you may satisfy your needs through them, and may be borne upon them and on ships.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 80

"وَيُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ فَأَيَّ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُنْكِرُونَ"

Wa yureekum Aayaatihee fa ayya Aayaatil laahi tunkiroon

He shows His signs. How many of God?s signs will you then deny?

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 81

"أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ"

Afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; kaanoo aksara minhum wa ashadda quwwatanw wa aasaaran fil ardi famaaa aghnaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon

Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them who were far more numerous than they and more strong, and have left behind them traces on the earth. And yet nothing of what they did profited them.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 82

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِنْدَهُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ"

Falammaa jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati farihoo bimaa 'indahum minal 'ilmi wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

For when Our apostles came to them with clear proofs, they boasted and exulted at the knowledge they possessed; but what they used to mock recoiled back on them,

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 83

"فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ"

Falammaa ra aw baasanaa qaalooo aamannaa billaahi wahdahoo wa kafarnaa bimaa kunnaa bihee mushrikeen

So that when they saw Our might, they said: "We believe in God the one and single, and reject those we associated (with Him)." --

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 84

"فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنْفَعُهُمْ إِيمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا ۖ سُنَّتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ فِي عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكَافِرُونَ"

Falam yaku tanfa 'uhum eemaanuhum lammaa ra-aw baasana sunnatal laahil latee qad khalat fee 'ibaadihee wa khasira hunaalikal kaafiroon (section 9)

But then their affirming served them nothing after they had seen Our torment. This is the law of God that has prevailed among His creatures, Then the unbelievers went to rack and ruin.

Surah Number : 40 , Ayat Number : 85

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 1

"تَنْزِيلٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ"

Tanzeelum Minar-Rahmaanir-Raheem

A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful,

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 2

"كِتَابٌ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ"

Kitaabun fussilat Aayaatuhoo Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyal liqawminy ya'lamoon

A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand,

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 3

"بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ"

Basheeranw wa nazeeran fa-a'rada aksaruhum fahum laa yasma'oon

Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen,

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِنْ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ"

Wa qaaloo quloobunaa feee akinnatim mimmaa tad'oonaaa ilaihi wa feee aazaaninaa waqrunw wa mim baininaa wa bainika bijaabun fa'mal innanaa 'aamiloon

And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 5

"قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا إِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ"

Qul innamaaa ana basharum mislukum yoohaaa ilaiya annamaaa ilaahukum Ilaahunw Waahidun fastaqeemooo ilaihi wastaghfirooh; wa wailul lil mushrikeen

Say: "I am a man like you, (but) it is revealed to me that your God is one God, so take the straight path to Him, and ask Him to forgive your sins. Woe to the idolaters

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 6

"الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ"

Allazeena laa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil-Aakhiratihum kaafiroon

Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 7

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ"

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon (section 1)

But those who believe and do the right, will have a continuing reward.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 8

"۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُ أَنْدَادًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Qul a'innakum latakfuroona billazee khalaqal arda fee yawmaini wa taj'aloona lahooo andaadaa; zaalika Rabbul 'aalameen

Say: "Do you refuse to believe in Him who created the earth in two spans of time, and set up compeers to Him, the Lord of all the worlds?

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَاءً لِلسَّائِلِينَ"

Wa ja'ala feehaa rawaa siya min fawqihaa wa baaraka feehaa wa qaddara feehaaaa aqwaatahaa feee arba'ati ayyaamin sawaaa'al lissaaa'ileen

He placed firm stabilisers rising above its surface, blessed it with plenty and growth, and ingrained the means of growing its food within it, sufficient for all seekers, in four spans.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 10

"ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ائْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ"

Summas tawaaa ilas-samaaa'i wa hiya dukhaanun faqaala lahaa wa lil ardi'tiyaaa taw'an aw karhan qaalataaa atainaa taaa'i'een

Then He turned to the heavens, and it was smoke. So He said to it and the earth: "Come with willing obedience or perforce." They said: "We come willingly."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 11

"فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِي كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ أَمْرَهَا ۚ وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ"

Faqadaahunna sab'a samaawaatin fee yawmaini wa awhaa fee kulli samaaa'in amarahaa; wa zaiyannassa maaa'ad dunyaa bimasaabeeha wa hifzaa; zaalika taqdeerul 'Azeezil 'Aleem

Then He created several skies in two spans, and ingrained in each sky its function, decking the nearest heaven with lamps, and guarded it. This has been determined by the mighty and all-knowing.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 12

"فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَةً مِثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ"

Fa-in a'radoo faqul anzartukum saa'iqatam misla saa'iqati 'Aadinw wa Samood

If even then they turn away, tell them: "I forewarn you of a terrible punishment like the thunderbolt that fell upon the ?Ad and Thamud."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 13

"إِذْ جَاءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ قَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ"

Iz jaaa'at humur Rusulu mim baini aydeehim wa min khalfihim allaa ta'budooo illal laaha qaaloo law shaaa'a Rabunaa la anzala malaaa 'ikatan fa innaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee kaafiroon

Their apostles came to them one after the other (saying): "Do not worship any one but God." They said: "If our Lord had pleased He would have sent the angels down. We reject what is sent with you."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 14

"فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۖ وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ"

Fa ammaa 'Aadun fastak baroo fil ardi bighairul haqqi wa qaaloo man ashaddu minnaa quwwatan awalam yaraw annal laahal lazee khalaqahum Huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatanw wa kaanoo bi Aayaatinaa yajhadoon

So those who were ?Ad turned insolent unjustly in the land, and said: "Who is stronger than us?" Did they not see that God who created them was greater far in power than they? Yet they refused to believe Our signs.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 15

"فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَحِسَاتٍ لِنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنْصَرُونَ"

Fa arsalnaa 'alaihim reehan sarsaran feee ayyaamin nahisaatil linuzeeqahum 'azaabal khizyi fil hayaatid dunyaa wa la'azaabul Aakhirati akhzaa wa hum laa yunsaroon

So We let loose on them a violent wind for several days of distress to make them taste a most disgraceful punishment here in this world, and far more shameful will be the punishment in the Hereafter, and there will be no succour for them.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ فَاسْتَحَبُّوا الْعَمَىٰ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَاعِقَةُ الْعَذَابِ الْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ"

Wa ammaa Samoodu fahadinaahum fastahabbul 'ama 'alal huda fa akhazathum saa'iqatul 'azaabil hooni bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon

As for the (tribe of) Thamud, We tried to guide them, but they preferred blindness to guidance; then they were seized by the torment of a humiliating punishment as requital for their misdeeds;

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَنَجَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ"

Wa najjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon (section 2)

But We saved those who believed and took heed for themselves.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَاءُ اللَّهِ إِلَى النَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ"

Wa yawma yuhsharu a'daaa'ul laahi ilan Naari fahum yooza'oon

The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed,

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 19

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا مَا جَاءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَارُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ"

Hattaaa izaa maa jaaa'oohaa shahida 'alaihim samu'uhum wa absaaruhum wa julooduhum bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَقَالُوا لِجُلُودِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدْتُمْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ قَالُوا أَنْطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنْطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ"

Wa qaaloo lijuloodihim lima shahittum 'alainaa qaaloo antaqanal laahul lazeee antaqa kulla shai'inw wa Huwa khalaqakum awwala marratinw wa ilaihi turja'oon

And they will say to their bodies: "Why did you testify against us?" They will answer: "God, who gave all things power of articulation, made us speak. It is He who created you the first time, and to Him you will return.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ"

Wa maa kuntum tastatiroona ai-yashhada 'alaikum sam'ukum wa laaa absaarukum wa laa juloodukum wa laakin zanantum annal laaha laa ya'lamu kaseeram mimmaa ta'maloon

You did not hide your (doings) so that your ears or eyes or persons should not testify against you. In fact you thought that God did not know the things you used to do.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 22

"وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ"

Wa zaalikum zannukumul lazee zanantum bi-Rabbikum ardaakum fa asbahtum minal khaasireen

It is this notion you had of your Lord that caused your ruin, and you are lost."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 23

"فَإِنْ يَصْبِرُوا فَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَسْتَعْتِبُوا فَمَا هُمْ مِنَ الْمُعْتَبِينَ"

Fa-iny yasbiroo fan Naaru maswal lahum wa iny-yasta'tiboo famaa hum minal mu'tabeen

Even if they are patient, their abode is Hell; and if they beg for favour, none will favour them.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 24

"۞ وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاءَ فَزَيَّنُوا لَهُمْ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَاسِرِينَ"

Wa qaiyadnaa lahum quranaaa'a fazaiyanoo lahum maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu feee umamin qad khalat min qablihim minal jinni wal insi innahum kaanoo khaasireen (section 3)

We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُ…لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُونَ"

Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo laa tasma'oo lihaazal Quraani walghaw feehi la'allakum taghlihoon

The disbelievers say: "Do not listen to this Qur?an, and shout away (its reading); you may haply prevail."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 26

"فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ"

Falanuzeeqannal lazeena kafaroo 'azaaban shadeedanw wa lanajziyannahum aswallazee kaanoo ya'maloon

We shall make the disbelievers taste the severest punishment, and retribute them for the worst that they had done.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 27

"ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ أَعْدَاءِ اللَّهِ النَّارُ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ ۖ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ"

Zaalika jazaaa'u a'daaa'il laahin Naaru lahum feehaa daarul khuld, jazaaa'am bimaa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa yajhadoon

This is the requital for God?s enemies: Hell, where they will have their lasting home, as punishment for denying Our revelations.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا أَرِنَا اللَّذَيْنِ أَضَلَّانَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ الْأَسْفَلِينَ"

Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo Rabbanaaa arinal lazaini adal laanaa minal jinni wal insi naj'alhumaa tahta aqdaaminaa liyakoonaa minal asfaleen

Those who disbelieve will say: "O Lord, show us those among the jinns and men who had led us astray that we may trample them underfoot and make them wholly abject."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 29

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ"

Innal lazeena qaaloo Rabbunal laahu summas taqaamoo tatanazzalu 'alaihimul malaaa 'ikatu allaa takhaafoo wa laa tahzanoo wa abshiroo bil Jannnatil latee kuntum too'adoon

Surely the angels will come down to those who say, ?Our Lord is God? and then remain steadfast, saying: "You should have neither fear nor regret, but rejoice in the happy news of Paradise that has been promised you.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 30

"نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنْفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ"

Nahnu awliyaaa'ukum fil hayaatid dunyaa wa fil Aakhirati wa lakum feehaa maa tashtaheee anfusukum wa lakum feehaa ma tadda'oon

We are your friends in this life and in the Hereafter where you will get whatever your hearts desire, and have whatsoever you ask for,

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 31

"نُزُلًا مِنْ غَفُورٍ رَحِيمٍ"

Nuzulam min Ghafoorir Raheem (section 4)

As a gift from the forgiving, ever-merciful (God)."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ"

Wa man ahsanu qawlam mimman da'aaa ilal laahi wa 'amila saalihanw wa qaala innanee minal muslimeen

Whose word is better than his who calls to God and does the right, and says: "I am of the obedient?"

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ"

Wa laa tastawil hasanatu wa las saiyi'ah; idfa' billatee hiya ahsanu fa'izal lazee bainaka wa bainahoo 'adaawatun ka'annahoo waliyun hameem

Good and evil are not alike. Repel evil with what is good. Then you will find your erstwhile enemy like a close. affectionate friend.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 34

"وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ"

Wa maa yulaqqaahaaa illal lazeena sabaroo wa maa yulaqqaahaaa illaa zoo hazzin 'azeem

Only they attain it who forbear, and only a man of great good fortune can achieve it.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَإِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ"

Wa immaa yanzaghannaka minash Shaitaani nazghun fasta'iz billaahi innahoo Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

If the Devil incite you to evil, seek refuge in God. He is all-hearing and all-knowing.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ ۚ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ"

Wa min Aayaatihil lailu wannahaaru washshamsu walqamar; laa tasjudoo lishshamsi wa laa lilqamari wasjudoo lillaahil lazee khala qahunna in kuntum iyyaahu ta'budoon

The night and day and the sun and moon are (only) some of His signs. So do not bow before the sun and the moon, but bow in homage to God who created them, if you truly worship Him.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 37

"فَإِنِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فَالَّذِينَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْأَمُونَ ۩"

Fa inis-takbaroo fallazee na 'inda Rabbika yusabbihoona lahoo billaili wannnahaari wa hum laa yas'amoon (make sajda)

But if they become haughty (then remember) that those who are close to your Lord sing His praises night and day and do not grow weary of (doing so).

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنَّكَ تَرَى الْأَرْضَ خَاشِعَةً فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ"

Wa min Aayaatiheee annaka taral arda khaashi'atan fa izaaa anzalna 'alaihal maaa'ah tazzat wa rabat; innal lazeee ahyaahaa lamuhiyil mawtaa; innahoo 'alaa kulli shai-in Qadeer

It is among His signs that the earth you see all barren and desolate begins to stir and sprout when We send down rain upon it. Surely He who gives it life will also give life to the dead. Indeed He has power over everything.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 39

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا لَا يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَا ۗ أَفَمَنْ يُلْقَىٰ فِي النَّارِ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي آمِنًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ"

Innal lazeena yulhidoona feee Aayaatina laa yakhfawna 'alainaa' afamai yulqaa fin Naari khayrun am mai yaateee aaminai Yawmal Qiyaamah; i'maloo ma shi'tum innahoo bimaa ta'maloona Baseer

Surely those who slander Our signs are not hidden from Us. Then, is he better who will be cast into Hell, or he who will come out safe on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will, He sees whatsoever you do.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 40

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَكِتَابٌ عَزِيزٌ"

Inna Lazeena kafaroo biz Zikri lammaa jaa'ahum wa innahoo la Kitaabun 'Azeez

Those who reject the Reminder when it has come to them (should know) that it is a Book inviolate.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 41

"لَا يَأْتِيهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ ۖ تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ"

Laa yaateehil baatilu mim baini yadaihi wa laa min khalfihee tanzeelum min Hakeemin Hameed

Falsehood cannot enter it from any side: It?s a revelation from the all-wise and praiseworthy (God).

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 42

"مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ وَذُو عِقَابٍ أَلِيمٍ"

Maa yuqaalu laka illaa maa qad qeela lir Rusuli min qablik; inna Rabbaka lazoo maghfiratinw wa zoo 'iqaabin aleem

Nothing is said to you which had not been said to other apostles before you. Surely your Lord is the lord of forgiveness, but also the lord of severe retribution.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا أَعْجَمِيًّا لَقَالُوا لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ ۖ أَأَعْجَمِيٌّ وَعَرَبِيٌّ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ"

Wa law ja'alnaahu Qur-aanan A'jamiyyal laqaaloo law laa fussilat Aayaatuhoo 'a A'jamiyyunw wa 'Arabiyy; qul huwa lillazeena aamanoo hudanw wa shifaaa'unw wallazeena la yu'minoona feee aazaanihim waqrunw wa huwa 'alaihim 'amaa; ulaaa'ika yunaadawna mim maakaanim ba'eed (section 5)

If We had made it a discourse in an obscure tongue, they would have said: "Why were its revelations not expounded distinctly? A foreign tongue and an Arab (audience)?" Say: "For those who believe it is a guidance and a healing; but for those who do not believe it is a deafness in the ears, and a blindness. They are those one calls to from far away.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۗ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ"

Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba fakhtulifa fee; wa lawlaa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika laqudiya bainahum; wa innahum lafee shakkim minhu mureeb

Verily We gave Moses the Book; but they began to differ about it. If the Word of your Lord had not preceded it the matter would have been settled between them. They are still in doubt about it and uneasy.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 45

"مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۗ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ"

Man 'amila salihan falinafsihee wa man asaaa'a fa'alaihaa; wamaa rabbuka bizallaamil lil 'abeed (End Juz 24)

Whoever does good does so for himself, and whoever does wrong bears the guilt thereof. Your Lord does no wrong to His creatures.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 46
