"۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ"

Qaala famaa khatbukum ayyuhal mursaloon

He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 31

"قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ"

Qaalooo innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmim mujrimeen

They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 32

"لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ"

Linursila 'alaihim hijaa ratam min teen

So as to let loose clods of clay on them

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 33

"مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ"

Musawwamatan 'inda rabbika lilmusrifeen

Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 34

"فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ"

Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen

So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ"

Famaa wajadnaa feehaa ghaira baitim minal muslimeen

But did not find more than a single family of believers.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ"

Wa taraknaa feehaaa aayatal lillazeena yakhaafoonal 'azaabal aleem

We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Wa fee Moosaaa iz arsalnaahu ilaa Fir'awna bisultaa nim mubeen

As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ"

Fatawalla biruknihee wa qaala saahirun aw majnoon

But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 39

"فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ"

Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem

So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ"

Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem

In ?Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 41

"مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ"

Maa tazaru min shai'in atat 'alaihi illaa ja'alat hu karrameem

Which turned everything it touched to ashes.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 42

"وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ"

Wa fee Samooda iz qeela lahum tamatta''oo hattaa heen

And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 43

"فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ"

Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazal humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon

But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 44

"فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ"

Famas tataa'oo min qiyaaminw wa maa kaanoo muntasireen

And neither stand up nor defend themselves.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ"

Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen

(So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ"

Wassamaaa'a banainaa haa bi aydinw wa innaa lamoosi'oon

We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ"

Wal arda farashnaahaa fani'mal maahidoon

We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide!

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ"

Wa min kulli shai'in khalaqnaa zawjaini la'allakum tazakkaroon

And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 49

"فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Fafirrooo ilal laahi innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Wa laa taj'aloo ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 51

"كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ"

Kazaalika maaa atal lazeena min qablihim mir Rasoolin illaa qaaloo saahirun aw majnoon

Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 52

"أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ"

Atawaasaw bih; bal hum qawmun taaghoon

Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 53

"فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ"

Fatawalla 'anhum famaaa anta bimaloom

Turn away from them. You will not be blamed.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 54

"وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ"

Wa zakkir fa innaz zikraa tanfa'ul mu'mineen

But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 55

"وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ"

Wa maa khalaqtul jinna wal insa illaa liya'budoon

I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 56

"مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ"

Maaa ureedu minhum mir rizqinw wa maaa ureedu anyyut'imoon

I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 57

"إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ"

Innal laaha Huwar Razzaaqu Zul Quwwatil Mateen

God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 58

"فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ"

Fa inna lillazeena zalamoo zanoobam misla zanoobi ashaabihim falaa yasta'jiloon

Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment).

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 59

"فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ"

Fawailul lillazeena kafaroo miny yawmihimul lazee yoo'adoon

Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 60

وَالطُّورِ

Wat-Toor

I CALL TO witness the Mount Sinai,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 1

"وَكِتَابٍ مَسْطُورٍ"

Wa kitaabim mastoor

And the Scripture inscribed

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 2

"فِي رَقٍّ مَنْشُورٍ"

Fee raqqim manshoor

On a parchment scroll unrolled,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ"

Wal baitil ma'moor

The house ever-peopled,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ"

Wassaqfil marfoo'

The roof raised high,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ"

Wal bahril masjoor

And the swollen sea,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 6

"إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ"

Inna 'azaaba Rabbika lawaaqi'

The punishment of your Lord is certain to come.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 7

"مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ"

Maa lahoo min daafi'

There is none who could avert it.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 8

"يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا"

Yawma tamoorus samaaa'u mawraa

The day the sky will tremble,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا"

Wa taseerul jibaalu sairaa

The mountains move and fly away,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Fawailuny yawma 'izil lil mukaazzibeen

Will be the day of woe for those

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 11

"الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ"

Allazeena hum fee khawdiny yal'aboon

Who, ignoring the Reality, engage in pleasantries.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 12

"يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا"

Yawma yuda'-'oona ilaa naari jahannama da'-'aa

The day they are dragged and pushed into Hell,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 13

"هَٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ"

Haazihin naarul latee kuntum bihaa tukazziboon

(And told:) "This is the fire which you denied.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 14

"أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا أَمْ أَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Afasihrun haazaaaa am antum laa tubsiroon

Is it magic, or you cannot see?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 15

"اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Islawhaa fasbirooo aw laa tasbiroo sawaaa'un 'alaikum innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

Roast in it. Bear it with patience or impatience, it will be the same for you. You will be requited for what you had done."

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 16

"إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ"

Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa na'eem

Those who fear God and follow the straight path will surely be in gardens and in bliss,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 17

"فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ"

Faakiheena bimaaa aataahum rabbuhum wa waqaahum rabbuhum 'azaabal jaheem

Rejoicing at what their Lord has given them; and their Lord will preserve them from the torment of Hell.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 18

"كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

"Eat and drink with relish," (they will be told), (as recompense) for what you had done."

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 19

"مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ"

Muttaki'eena 'alaa sururim masfoofatinw wa zawwaj naahum bihoorin 'een

They would recline on couches set in rows, paired with fair companions (clean of thought and) bright of eye.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ"

Wallazeena aamanoo wattaba'at hum zurriyyatuhum bieemaanin alhaqnaa bihim zurriyyatahum wa maaa alatnaahum min 'amalihim min shai'; kullum ri'im bimaa kasaba raheen

And those who believed, and whose progeny also followed them in their faith, will be united with their offspring. We will not deprive them of their labour in the least. Every man is bound to what he does.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ"

Wa amdadnaahum bifaa kihatinw wa lahmim mimmaa yashtahoon

We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 22

"يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ"

Yatanaaza'oona feehaa kaasal laa laghwun feehaa wa laa taaseem

They will exchange cups of wine free of (incitement to) pleasantry or sin.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 23

"۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ"

Wa yatoofu 'alaihim ghilmaanul lahum ka annahum lu'lu'um maknoon

And young attendants like pearls within their shells, will go round.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ"

Wa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatasaaa'aloon

They will ask each other questions,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 25

"قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ"

Qaalooo innaa kunnaa qablu feee ahlinaa mushfiqeen

Saying: "We were also once full of fear at home.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 26

"فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ"

Famannnal laahu 'alainaa wa waqaanaa 'azaabas samoom

But God has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of scorching wind.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 27

"إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ"

Innaa kunnaa min qablu nad'oohu innahoo huwal barrur raheem

We used to pray to Him erstwhile; He is the just and merciful.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ"

Fazakkir famaaa anta bini'mati rabbika bikaahininw wa laa majnoon

Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 29

"أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ"

Am yaqooloona shaa'irun natarabbasu bihee raibal manoon

Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?"

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 30

"قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ"

Qul tarabbasoo fa innee ma'akum minal mutarabbiseen

Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you."

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 31

"أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ"

Am taamuruhum ahlaamuhum bihaazaaa am hum qawmun taaghoon

Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 32

"أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Am yaqooloona taqawwalah; bal laa yu'minoon

Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 33

"فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِثْلِهِ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ"

Falyaatoo bihadeesim misliheee in kaanoo saadiqeen

So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 34

"أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ"

Am khuliqoo min ghairi shai'in am humul khaaliqoon

Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 35

"أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ"

Am khalaqus samaawaati wal ard; bal laa yooqinoon

Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 36

"أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ"

Am'indahum khazaaa'inu rabbika am humul musaitiroon

Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 37

"أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Am lahum sullamuny yastami'oona feehi falyaati mustami'uhum bisultaanim mubeen

Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 38

"أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ"

Am lahul banaatu wa lakumul banoon

Has (God) daughters and they sons?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 39

"أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ"

Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon

Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 40

"أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ"

Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon

Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down?

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 41

"أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ"

Am yureedoona kaidan fallazeena kafaroo humul makeedoon

Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 42

"أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ"

Am lahum ilaahun ghairul laa; subhaanal laahi 'ammaa yushrikoon

Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him!

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَرْكُومٌ"

Wa iny yaraw kisfam minas samaaa'i saaqitany yaqooloo sahaabum markoom

If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud."

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 44

"فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ"

Fazarhum hatta yulaaqoo yawmahumul lazee feehi yus'aqoon

So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 45

"يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ"

Yawma laa yughnee 'anhum kaidumhum shai'anw wa laa hum yunsaroon

Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Wa inna lillazeena zalamoo 'azaaban doona zalika wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ"

Wasbir lihukmi rabbika fa innaka bi-a'yuninaa wa sabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoom

Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise,

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَارَ النُّجُومِ"

Wa minal laili fasabbihhu wa idbaaran nujoom

And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane.

Surah Number : 52 , Ayat Number : 49

وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ

Wannajmi izaa hawaa

I CALL TO witness the star of the pleiades when it has dipped

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 1

"مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ"

Maa dalla saahibukum wa maa ghawaa

That your companion is not confused, nor has he gone astray,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ"

Wa maa yyantiqu 'anilhawaaa

Neither does he speak of his own will.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 3

"إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ"

In huwa illaa Wahyuny yoohaa

This is only revelation communicated,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 4

"عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ"

'Allamahoo shadeedul quwaa

Bestowed on him by the Supreme Intellect,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 5

"ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ"

Zoo mirratin fastawaa

Lord of power and wisdom. So he acquired poise and balance,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ"

Wa huwa bil ufuqil a'laa

And reached the highest pinnacle.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 7

"ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ"

Summa danaa fatadalla

Then he drew near and drew closer

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 8

"فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ"

Fakaana qaaba qawsaini aw adnaa

Until a space of two bow (arcs) or even less remained,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 9

"فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ"

Fa awhaaa ilaa 'abdihee maaa awhaa

When He revealed to His votary what He revealed.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 10

"مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ"

Maa kazabal fu'aadu maa ra aa

His heart did not falsify what he perceived.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 11

"أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ"

Afatumaaroonahoo 'alaa maayaraa

Will you dispute with him what he saw?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ"

Wa laqad ra aahu nazlatan ukhraa

He saw Him indeed another time

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 13

"عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ"

'Inda sidratil muntaha

By the Lote-tree beyond which none can pass,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 14

"عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ"

'Indahaa jannatul maawaa

Close to which is the Garden of Tranquility,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 15

"إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ"

Iz yaghshas sidrata maa yaghshaa

When the Lote-tree was covered over with what it was covered over;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 16

"مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ"

Maa zaaghal basaru wa maa taghaa

Neither did sight falter nor exceed the bounds.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 17

"لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ"

Laqad ra aa min aayaati Rabbihil kubraaa

Indeed he saw some of the greatest signs of His Lord.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 18

"أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّىٰ"

Afara'aytumul laata wal 'uzzaa

Have you considered Lat and ?Uzza,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ"

Wa manaatas saalisatal ukhraa

And Manat, the other third (of the pagan deities)?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 20

"أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْأُنْثَىٰ"

A-lakumuz zakaru wa lahul unsaa

Are there sons for you, and daughters for Him?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 21

"تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰ"

Tilka izan qismatun deezaa

This is certainly an unjust apportioning.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 22

"إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْأَنْفُسُ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنْ رَبِّهِمُ الْهُدَىٰ"

In hiya illaaa asmaaa'un sammaitumoohaaa antum wa aabaaa'ukum maaa anzalal laahu bihaa min sultaan; inyyattabi'oona illaz zanna wa maa tahwal anfusu wa laqad jaaa'ahum mir Rabbihimul hudaa

These are only names which you and your fathers have invented. No authority was sent down by God for them. They only follow conjecture and wish-fulfilment, even though guidance had come to them already from their Lord.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 23

"أَمْ لِلْإِنْسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ"

Am lil insaani maa taman naa

Can ever man get what he desires?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 24

"فَلِلَّهِ الْآخِرَةُ وَالْأُولَىٰ"

Falillaahil aakhiratu wal oolaa

To God belong the End and the Beginning.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 25

"۞ وَكَمْ مِنْ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْضَىٰ"

Wa kam mim malakin fissamaawaati laa tughnee shafaa'atuhum shai'an illaa mim ba'di anyyaazanal laahu limany yashaaa'u wa yardaa

Many as the angels be in heaven their intercession will not avail in the least without God?s permission for whomsoever He please and approve.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْأُنْثَىٰ"

innal lazeena laa yu'minoona bil aakhirati la yusammoonal malaaa'ikata tasmiyatal unsaa

Those who do not believe in the Hereafter give the angels names of females.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَمَا لَهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ ۖ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا"

Wa maa lahum bihee min 'ilmin iny yattabi'oona illaz zanna wa innaz zanna laa yughnee minal haqqi shai'aa

Yet they have no knowledge of this, and follow nothing but conjecture, but conjecture cannot replace the truth.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْ مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا"

Fa a'rid 'am man tawallaa 'an zikrinaa wa lam yurid illal hayaatad dunyaa

So you turn away from him who turns away from Our rememberance and wants nothing but the life of this world:

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 29

"ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ"

Zalika mablaghuhum minal 'ilm; inna rabbaka huwa a'lamu biman dalla 'an sabee lihee wa huwa a'lamu bimanih tadaa

This is the farthest limit of their knowledge. Surely your Lord alone knows best who has strayed away from the path and who has come to guidance.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى"

Wa lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi liyajziyal lazeena asaaa'oo bimaa 'amiloo wa yajziyal lazeena ahsanoo bilhusnaa

To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, that He may requite those who do evil, in accordance with their deeds, and those who do good with good.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 31

"الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنْتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ"

Allazeena yajtaniboona kabaaa'iral ismi walfawaa hisha illal lamam; inna rabbaka waasi'ul maghfirah; huwa a'lamu bikum iz ansha akum minal ardi wa iz antum ajinnatun fee butooni umma haatikum falaa tuzakkooo anfusakum huwa a'lamu bimanit taqaa

As for those who avoid the greater sins and shameful acts, except minor trespasses, your Lord?s forgiveness surely has great amplitude. He is fully knowledgeable of you as He produced you from the earth, and since you were a foetus in your mother?s womb. So do not assert your goodness; he is better who takes heed and preserves himself.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 32

"أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّىٰ"

Afara'ayatal lazee tawallaa

Have you seen him who turns his back,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَىٰ"

Wa a'taa qaleelanw wa akdaa

Who gives but little, and is niggardly?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 34

"أَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰ"

A'indahoo 'ilmul ghaibi fahuwa yaraa

Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 35

"أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ"

Am lam yunabbaa bimaa fee suhuhfi Moosa

Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّىٰ"

Wa Ibraaheemal lazee waffaaa

And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? --

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 37

"أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ"

Allaa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa

That no one who carries a burden bears another?s load;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْإِنْسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ"

Wa al laisa lil insaani illaa maa sa'aa

That a man receives but only that for which he strives;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 39

"وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ"

Wa anna sa'yahoo sawfa yuraa

That his endeavours will be judged,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 40

"ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَىٰ"

Summa yujzaahul jazaaa 'al awfaa

And only then will he receive his recompense in full;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 41

"وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ"

Wa anna ilaa rabbikal muntahaa

And that to your Lord is your returning;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 42

"وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ"

Wa annahoo huwa adhaka wa abkaa

That it is He who makes you happy and morose,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا"

Wa annahoo huwa amaata wa ahyaa

And He who ordains death and life;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ"

Wa annahoo khalaqaz zawjainiz zakara wal unsaa

That He created pairs, male and female,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 45

"مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ"

Min nutfatin izaa tumnaa

From a drop of semen when emitted;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ"

Wa anna 'alaihin nash atal ukhraa

That the second creation is incumbent on Him;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ"

Wa annahoo huwa aghnaa wa aqnaa

That it is He who makes you rich and contented;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَىٰ"

Wa annahoo huwa rabbush shi'raa

That He is the Lord of Sirius;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 49

"وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَىٰ"

Wa annahooo ahlak a 'Aadanil oolaa

That it was He who destroyed the ?Ad of old,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَىٰ"

Wa samooda famaaa abqaa

And Thamud, and did not leave them,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 51

"وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ"

Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaanoo hum azlama wa atghaa

Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious;

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 52

"وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ"

Wal mu'tafikata ahwaa

And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 53

"فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ"

Faghashshaahaa maa ghashshaa

So that they were covered over by what they were covered over.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbika tatamaaraa

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 55

"هَٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَىٰ"

Haazaa nazeerum minan nuzuril oolaa

He who warns you is one of the warners of old.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 56

"أَزِفَتِ الْآزِفَةُ"

Azifatil laazifah

What is to come is imminent.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 57

"لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ"

Laisa lahaa min doonil laahi kaashifah

There is no one to unveil it apart from God.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 58

"أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ"

Afamin hazal hadeesi ta'jaboon

Are you astonished at this news,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 59

"وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ"

Wa tadhakoona wa laa tabkoon

And keep laughing and do not weep,

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 60

"وَأَنْتُمْ سَامِدُونَ"

Wa antum saamidoon

Indulging in pleasantries?

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 61

"فَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا ۩"

Fasjudoo lillaahi wa'budoo (make sajda)

Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him.

Surah Number : 53 , Ayat Number : 62

اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ

Iqtarabatis Saa'atu wan shaqqal qamar

THE HOUR HAS come and split is the moon.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 1

"وَإِنْ يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ"

Wa iny yaraw aayatany yu'ridoo wa yaqooloo sihrum mustamirr

But if they see a sign they turn away, and say: "This is the same old lie continuing,"

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ"

Wa kazzaboo wattaba'ooo ahwaaa'ahum; wa kullu amrim mustaqirr

And deny, and follow their own vain desires; but every matter is determined at its time.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ"

Wa laqad jaaa'ahum minal ambaaa'i maa feehi muzdajar

Messages deterring them from evil had come to them,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 4

"حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ"

Hikmatum baalighatun famaa tughnin nuzur

Containing consummate wisdom; yet warnings were of no avail.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 5

"فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ"

Fatawalla 'anhum; yawma yad'ud daa'i ilaa shai 'in nukur

So turn away from them. When on the Day the crier calls to the painful business,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 6

"خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنْتَشِرٌ"

khushsha'an absaaruhum yakrujoona minal ajdaasi ka annahum jaraadum muntashir

They will come out of the graves with downcast eyes like an expanding swarm of locusts.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 7

"مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ"

Muhti'eena ilad daa'i yaqoolul kafiroona haazaa yawmun 'asir

They will hasten forward to the caller, gazes fixed. And the unbelievers will say: "This is the day of untold woe."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 8

"۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ"

Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohin fakazzaboo 'abdanaa wa qaaloo majnoo nunw wazdujir

The people of Noah had denied before them, and had called Our votary a liar, and said: "He is possessed," and repulsed him.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 9

"فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ"

Fada'aa Rabbahooo annee maghloobun fantasir

So he prayed to his Lord: "I am helpless, deliver me."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ"

Fafatahnaaa abwaabas sa maaa'i bimaa'im munhamir

And We opened up the flood gates of the sky with water pouring down in torrents,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَىٰ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ"

Wa fajjamal arda 'uyoonan faltaqal maaa'u 'alaaa amrin qad qudir

And We opened up the springs of the earth; and the waters met for a decreed end.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ"

Wa hamalnaahu 'alaa zaati alwaahinw wa dusur

But We bore him on a (vessel made) of planks and oakum,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 13

"تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ"

Tajree bi a'yuninaa jazaaa 'al liman kaana kufir

Which sailed right under Our eyes: A recompense for him who had been denied.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqat taraknaahaad aayatan fahal mim muddakir

And We left it as a sign. Is there anyone who will be warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 15

"فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

How was then My punishment and My commination!

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqad yassamal Quraana liz zikri fahal mimmuddakir

Easy have We made the Qur?an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 17

"كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

Kazzabat 'Aadun fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

The ?Ad had also disavowed. How was then My punishment and My commination!

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 18

"إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ"

Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim reehan sarsaran fee Yawmi nahsim mustamirr

We let loose against them a violent roaring wind on a day of ill omen, continuous,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 19

"تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ"

Tanzi;un naasa ka anna huma'jaazu nakhlim munqa'ir

Which snatched away men as though they were palm trees pulled out by the roots.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 20

"فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

'Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

How was then My punishment and My commination!

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqad yassamal Quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

Easy have We made the Qur?an to understand: So is there any one who will pay heed?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 22

"كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ"

Kazzabat Samoodu binnuzur

The Thamud rejected the warnings,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 23

"فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ"

Faqaalooo a-basharam minnaa waahidan nattabi'uhooo innaa izal lafee dalaalinw wa su'ur

And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall he in error and insane.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 24

"أَأُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ"

'A-ulqiyaz zikru 'alaihi mim baininaa bal huwa kazzaabun ashir

Was he the one of all of us to have been given the exposition? He is surely an impudent liar."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 25

"سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُ"

Sa-ya'lamoona ghadam manil kazzaabul ashir

"Tomorrow they will know who is the impudent liar!

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِنَّا مُرْسِلُو النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ"

Innaa mursilun naaqati fitnatal lahum fartaqibhum wastabir

We shall send the she-camel to try them. So watch them, and be constant.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ"

Wa nabbi'hum annal maaa'a qismatum bainahum kullu shirbim muhtadar

Tell them that the water is to be apportioned between them (and her); and every turn of drinking will be fixed (for each)."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ"

Fanaadaw saahibahum fata'aataa fa'aqar

But they called their commander, who seized and hamstrung her.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 29

"فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur

How was then My punishment of which they had been warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 30

"إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ"

Innaaa arsalnaa 'alaihim saihatanw waahidatan fakaano kahasheemil muhtazir

We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqad yassarnal quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

Easy have We made the Qur?an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 32

"كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ"

Kazzabat qawmu lootim binnuzur

The people of Lot rejected the warnings.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 33

"إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ"

Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim haasiban illaaa aala Loot najjainaahum bisahar

We sent a stone-hurtling storm against them, except the family of Lot whom We saved in the early hours of the morning

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 34

"إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ"

Ni'matam min 'indinaa; kazaalika najzee man shakar

As a favour from Us. That is how We reward the grateful.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَلَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ"

Wa laqad anzarahum batshatanaa fatamaaraw binnuzur

He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

Wa laqad raawadoohu 'andaifee fatamasnaaa a'yunahum fazooqoo 'azaabee wa nuzur

They lusted after his guests, so We put out their eyes (and said): "Taste My punishment and My commination."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ"

Wa laqad sabbahahum bukratan 'azaabum mustaqirr

And early in the morning the decreed punishment came upon them.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ"

Fazooqoo 'azaabee wa nuzur

So now taste My punishment and My commination!

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 39

"وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqad yassarnal Quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir

Easy have We made the Qur?an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَلَقَدْ جَاءَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُ"

Wa laqad jaaa'a Aala Fir'awnan nuzur

The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 41

"كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ"

Kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa kullihaa fa akhaznaahum akhza 'azeezim muqtadir

They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 42

"أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ"

Akuffaarukum khairum min ulaaa'ikum am lakum baraaa'atun fiz Zubur

Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 43

"أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ"

Am yaqooloona nahnu jamee'um muntasir

Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?"

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 44

"سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ"

Sa yuhzamul jam'u wa yuwalloonad dubur

The army will be routed and put to flight.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 45

"بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ"

Balis Saa'atu maw'iduhum was Saa'atu adhaa wa amarr

Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 46

"إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ"

Innal mujrimeena fee dalaalinw wa su'ur

Surely the sinners are misguided and insane.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 47

"يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ"

Yawma yushaboona fin Naari'alaa wujoohimim zooqoo massa saqar

On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell."

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 48

"إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ"

Innaa kulla shai'in khalaqnaahu biqadar

We have indeed created all things by measure;

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 49

"وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ"

Wa maaa amrunaaa illaa waahidatun kalamhim bilbasar

And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ"

Wa laqad ahlaknaaa ashyaa'akum fahal mim muddakir

We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned?

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 51

"وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ"

Wa kullu shai'in fa'aloohu fiz Zubur

All things they do are (recorded) in the books;

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 52

"وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ"

Wa kullu sagheerinw wa kabeerim mustatar

All things small or great have been written down.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 53

"إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ"

Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa nahar

Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light,

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 54

"فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ مَلِيكٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ"

Fee maq'adi sidqin 'inda Maleekim Muqtadir

At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful.

Surah Number : 54 , Ayat Number : 55

الرَّحْمَٰنُ

Ar Rahmaan

AR-RAHMAN

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 1

"عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ"

'Allamal Quran

Bestowed the Qur?an,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 2

"خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ"

Khalaqal insaan

Created man,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 3

"عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ"

'Allamahul bayaan

And taught him to express clearly.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 4

"الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ"

Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan

The sun and moon revolve to a computation;

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ"

Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan

And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ"

Wassamaaa'a rafa'ahaa wa wada'al Meezan

He raised the sky and set the Balance

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 7

"أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ"

Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan

So that none may err against the scales,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ"

Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan

And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ"

Wal arda wada'ahaa lilanaam

He positioned the earth for all the creatures:

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 10

"فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ"

Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam

There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ"

Walhabbu zul 'asfi war Raihaanu

Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 12

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 13

"خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ"

Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaar

He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ"

Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar

And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 15

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 16

"رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ"

Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayn

Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 17

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 18

"مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ"

Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaan

He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 19

"بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ"

Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan

With an interstice between them which they cannot cross.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 20

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 21

"يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ"

Yakhruju minhumal lu 'lu u wal marjaanu

Out of them come pearls and coral.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ"

Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha'aatu fil bahri kal a'laam

His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 24

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 25

"كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ"

Kullu man 'alaihaa faan

All that is on the earth is passing,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ"

Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam

But abiding is the glory of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficence.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 27

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 28

"يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ"

Yas'aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla yawmin huwa fee shaan

All those there are in the heavens and the earth turn to Him with solicitation, intent on His purpose all the time.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 29

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 30

"سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ"

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan

We shall soon be free to turn to you, O weary caravans,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 31

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 32

"يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ"

Yaa ma'sharal jinni wal insi inis tata'tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan

O society of jinns and men, cross the bounds of the heavens and the earth if you have the ability, then pass beyond them; but you cannot unless you acquire the law.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 33

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 34

"يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ"

Yursalu 'alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarinw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan

Let loose at you will be smokeless flames of fire so that you will not be able to defend yourselves.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 36

"فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ"

Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa'u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan

When the sky will split asunder, and turn rosy like the dregs of annointing oil,

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 37

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ"

Fa-yawma'izil laa yus'alu 'an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann

Neither man nor jinn will be questioned on that day about his sin.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 39

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 40

"يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ"

Yu'raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa'yu'khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam

The sinners will be recognised by their marks, and seized by the forelock and their feet.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 41

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 42

"هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ"

Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon

This is Hell the sinners called a lie.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 43

"يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ"

Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan

They will go round and around between it and boiling water.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 44

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ"

Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan

But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 46

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 47

"ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ"

Zawaataaa afnaan

Full of overhanging branches --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 48

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 49

"فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ"

Feehimaa 'aynaani tajriyaan

With two springs of water flowing through them both. --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 50

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 51

"فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ"

Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan

In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 52

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 53

"مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُ…َى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ"

Muttaki'eena 'alaa furushim bataaa'inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan

Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 55

"فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ"

Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 56

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 57

"كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ"

Ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan

As though rubies and pearls.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 58

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 59

"هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ"

Hal jazaaa'ul ihsaani illal ihsaan

Should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 60

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 61

"وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ"

Wa min doonihimaa jannataan

And besides these two other gardens --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 62

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 63

"مُدْهَامَّتَانِ"

Mudhaaammataan

Of darkest verdant green --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 64

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 65

"فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ"

Feehimaa 'aynaani nad daakhataan

With two fountains gushing constantly, --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 66

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 67

"فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ"

Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan

With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 68

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 69

"فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ"

Feehinna khairaatun hisaan

In them good and comely maidens --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 70

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 71

"حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ"

Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam

Houris cloistered in pavilions --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 72

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 73

"لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ"

Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann

Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 74

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? --

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 75

"مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ"

Muttaki'eena 'alaa rafrafin khudrinw wa 'abqariyyin hisaan

Reclining on green cushions and rich carpets excellent.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 76

"فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ"

Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.

How many favours of your Lord will you then deny?

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 77

"تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ"

Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam

Blessed be the name of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficience.

Surah Number : 55 , Ayat Number : 78

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ

Izaa waqa'atil waaqi'ah

WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 1

"لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ"

Laisa liwaq'atihaa kaazibah

Which is bound to happen undoubtedly --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 2

"خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ"

Khafidatur raafi'ah

Degrading (some) and exalting (others);

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 3

"إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا"

Izaa rujjatil ardu rajjaa

When the earth is shaken up convulsively,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا"

Wa bussatil jibaalu bassaa

The mountains bruised and crushed,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 5

"فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا"

Fakaanat habaaa'am mumbassaa

Turned to dust, floating in the air,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَكُنْتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً"

Wa kuntum azwaajan salaasah

You will become three categories:

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَة…أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ"

Fa as haabul maimanati maaa as haabul maimanah

Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand!

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ"

Wa as haabul mash'amati maaa as haabul mash'amah

Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand!

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ"

Wassaabiqoonas saabiqoon

Then the foremost, how pre-excellent,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 10

"أُولَٰئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ"

Ulaaa'ikal muqarraboon

Who will be honoured

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 11

"فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ"

Fee Jannaatin Na'eem

In gardens of tranquility;

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 12

"ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Sullatum minal awwaleen

A number of the earlier peoples,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَقَلِيلٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ"

Wa qaleelum minal aa khireen

And a few of later ages,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 14

"عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَوْضُونَةٍ"

'Alaa sururim mawdoonah

On couches wrought of gold,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 15

"مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَابِلِينَ"

Muttaki'eena 'alaihaa mutaqabileen

Reclining face to face.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 16

"يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ"

Yatoofu 'alaihim wildaa num mukhalladoon

Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 17

"بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ"

Bi akwaabinw wa abaareeq, wa kaasim mim ma'een

Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 18

"لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُونَ"

Laa yusadda'oona 'anhaa wa laa yunzifoon

Unheady, uninebriating;

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ"

Wa faakihatim mimmaa yatakhaiyaroon

And such fruits as they fancy,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ"

Wa lahmi tairim mimmaa yashtahoon

Bird meats that they relish,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَحُورٌ عِينٌ"

Wa hoorun'een

And companions with big beautiful eyes

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 22

"كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ"

Ka amsaalil lu'lu'il maknoon

Like pearls within their shells,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 23

"جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ"

Jazaaa'am bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

As recompense for all they had done.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 24

"لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا"

Laa yasma'oona feehaa laghwanw wa laa taaseemaa

They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 25

"إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا"

Illaa qeelan salaaman salaamaa

Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ"

Wa as haabul yameeni maaa as haabul Yameen

As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 27

"فِي سِدْرٍ مَخْضُودٍ"

Fee sidrim makhdood

They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ"

Wa talhim mandood

And acacia covered with heaps of bloom,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ"

Wa zillim mamdood

Lengthened shadows,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ"

Wa maaa'im maskoob

Gushing water,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ"

Wa faakihatin kaseerah

And fruits numberless,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 32

"لَا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ"

Laa maqtoo'atinw wa laa mamnoo'ah

Unending, unforbidden,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ"

Wa furushim marfoo'ah

And maidens incomparable.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 34

"إِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً"

Innaaa anshaanaahunna inshaaa'aa

We have formed them in a distinctive fashion,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا"

Faja'alnaahunna abkaaraa

And made them virginal,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 36

"عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا"

'Uruban atraabaa

Loving companions matched in age,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 37

"لِأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ"

Li as haabil yameen

For those of the right hand.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 38

"ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Sullatum minal awwa leen

A crowd of earlier generations

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 39

"وَثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ"

Wa sullatum minal aakhireen

And a crowd of the later.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ"

Wa as haabush shimaali maaa as haabush shimaal

But those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) those of the left hand --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 41

"فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ"

Fee samoominw wa hameem

Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 42

"وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ"

Wa zillim miny yahmoom

Under the shadow of thick black smoke

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 43

"لَا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ"

Laa baaridinw wa laa kareem

Neither cool nor agreeable.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 44

"إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ"

Innaahum kaanoo qabla zaalika mutrafeen

They were endowed with good things

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنْثِ الْعَظِيمِ"

Wa kaanoo yusirroona 'alal hinsil 'azeem

But persisted in that greater sin,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ"

Wa kaanoo yaqooloona a'izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa izaaman'ainnaa lamab'oosoon

And said: "What! When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised again?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 47

"أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ"

Awa aabaaa'unal awwaloon

And so will our fathers?"

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 48

"قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ"

Qul innal awwaleena wal aakhireen

Say: "Indeed, the earlier and the later generations

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 49

"لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ"

Lamajmoo'oona ilaa meeqaati yawmim ma'loom

Will be gathered together on a certain day which is predetermined.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 50

"ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ"

summa innakum ayyuhad daaalloonal mukazziboon

Then you, the erring and the deniers,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 51

"لَآكِلُونَ مِنْ شَجَرٍ مِنْ زَقُّومٍ"

La aakiloona min shaja rim min zaqqoom

Will eat of the tree of Zaqqum,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 52

"فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ"

Famaali'oona minhal butoon

Fill your bellies with it,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 53

"فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ"

Fashaariboona 'alaihi minal hameem

And drink over it scalding water,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ"

Fashaariboona shurbal heem

Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease."

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 55

"هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ"

Haazaa nuzuluhum yawmad deen

Such will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 56

"نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ"

Nahnu khalaqnaakum falaw laa tusaddiqoon

It is He who created you, then why do you not affirm the truth?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 57

"أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تُمْنُونَ"

Afara'aytum maa tumnoon

Just consider (the semen) that you emit,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 58

"أَأَنْتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ"

'A-antum takhluqoo nahooo am nahnul khaaliqoon

Do you create it, or We are its creator?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 59

"نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَ…ا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ"

Nahnu qaddarnaa baina kumul mawta wa maa nahnu bimasbooqeen

We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 60

"عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَ…فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ"

'Alaaa an nubaddila amsaalakum wa nunshi'akum fee maa laa ta'lamoon

From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 61

"وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ"

Wa laqad 'alimtumun nash atal oolaa falaw laa tazakkaroon

You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 62

"أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَحْرُثُونَ"

Afara'aytum maa tahrusoon

Just ponder over what you sow:

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 63

"أَأَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ"

'A-antum tazra'oonahooo am nahnuz zaari'ooon

Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 64

"لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ"

Law nashaaa'u laja'al naahu hutaaman fazaltum tafakkahoon

We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 65

"إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ"

Innaa lamughramoon

(And say:) "We have fallen into debt;

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 66

"بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ"

Bal nahnu mahroomoon

Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour."

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 67

"أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ"

Afara'aytumul maaa'allazee tashraboon

Consider the water that you drink.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 68

"أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْزِلُونَ"

'A-antum anzaltumoohu minal muzni am nahnul munziloon

Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 69

"لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ"

Law nashaaa'u ja'alnaahu ujaajan falaw laa tashkuroon

We could make it brackish, if We pleased; so why do you not acknowledge thanks?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 70

"أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ"

Afara'aytumun naaral latee tooroon

Consider the fire that you strike (and get by friction).

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 71

"أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْشِئُونَ"

'A-antum anshaatum shajaratahaaa am nahnul munshi'oon

Have you raised its tree, or We have raised it?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 72

"نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِلْمُقْوِينَ"

Nahnu ja'alnaahaa tazkira tanw wa mataa'al lilmuqween

We have made it as a reminder and convenience for the needy.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 73

"فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ"

Fasabbih bismi Rabbikal 'azeem

So glorify your Lord, the most supreme.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 74

"۞ فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ"

Falaa uqsimu bimaawaa qi'innujoom

So I call the placement of the stars to witness --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 75

"وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ"

Wa innahoo laqasamul lawta'lamoona'azeem

And this surely is great evidence if you can understand --

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 76

"إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ"

Innahoo la quraanun kareem

That this is indeed the glorious Qur?an

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 77

"فِي كِتَابٍ مَكْنُونٍ"

Fee kitaabim maknoon

(Inscribed) in the well-kept Book.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 78

"لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ"

Laa yamassuhooo illal mutahharoon

Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind).

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 79

"تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Tanzeelum mir Rabbil'aalameen

It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 80

"أَفَبِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنْتُمْ مُدْهِنُونَ"

Afabihaazal hadeesi antum mudhinoon

Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 81

"وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ"

Wa taj'aloona rizqakum annakum tukazziboon

You live by calling it a lie.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 82

"فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ"

Falaw laaa izaa balaghatil hulqoom

Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles),

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 83

"وَأَنْتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنْظُرُونَ"

Wa antum heena'izin tanzuroon

And you wait for the moment (of death),

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 84

"وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Wa nahnu aqrabu ilaihi minkum wa laakil laa tubsiroon

We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see?

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 85

"فَلَوْلَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ"

Falaw laaa in kuntum ghaira madeeneen

Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life),

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 86

"تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ"

Tarji'oonahaaa in kuntum saadiqeen

Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 87

"فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ"

Fa ammaaa in kaana minal muqarrabeen

Then, if he is one of the honoured,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 88

"فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ"

Farawhunw wa raihaa nunw wa jannatu na'eem

There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 89

"وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ"

Wa ammaaa in kaana min as haabil yameen

If he is of those of the right hand,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 90

"فَسَلَامٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ"

Fasalaamul laka min as haabil yameen

There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 91

"وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ"

Wa ammaaa in kaana minal mukazzibeenad daaalleen

But if he is of the deniers and the errants,

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 92

"فَنُزُلٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ"

Fanuzulum min hameem

The welcome will be boiling water

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 93

"وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ"

Wa tasliyatu jaheem

And the roasting in Hell.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 94

"إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ"

Inna haaza lahuwa haqqul yaqeen

This is indeed the ultimate truth.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 95

"فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ"

Fasabbih bismi rabbikal 'azeem

Then praise your Lord, the most supreme.

Surah Number : 56 , Ayat Number : 96

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Sabbaha lillaahi maa fissamaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

WHATSOEVER IS IN the heavens and the earth sings the praises of God. He is all-mighty and all-wise.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 1

"لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ"

Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yuhyee wa yumeetu wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, He is the giver of life and death, and He has power over everything.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 2

"هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ"

Huwal Awwalu wal'Aakhiru waz Zaahiru wal Baatinu wa huwa bikulli shai'in Aleem

He is the first and He the last, the transcendent and the immanent; and He has knowledge of everything.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 3

"هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ"

Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda fee sittati ayyaamin summas tawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ya'lamu maa yaliju filardi wa maa yakhruju minhaa wa maa yanzilu minas samaaa'i wa maa ya'ruju feeha wa Huwa ma'akum ayna maa kuntum; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseer

It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six stages, then assumed the throne. He knows whatsoever enters the earth, and whatsoever comes out of it, and what comes down from the sky and what goes up to it; and He is with you wheresoever you may be, and He perceives whatsoever you do.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 4

"لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ"

Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all things will go back to Him.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 5

"يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ"

Yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil lail; wa Huwa 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor

He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 6

"آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَأَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُمْ مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَأَنْفَقُوا لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ"

Aaaminoo billaahi wa Rasoolihee wa anfiqoo mimmaa ja'alakum mustakh lafeena feehi fallazeena aamanoo minkum wa anfaqoo lahum ajrun kabeer

Believe in God and His Apostle, and spend of what He has given you as His trustee. And those of you who believe and spend in charity will have a great reward.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ ۙ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَاقَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ"

Wa maa lakum laa tu'minoona billaahi war Rasoolu yad'ookum lituu'minoo bi Rabbikum wa qad akhaza meesaaqakum in kuntum mu'mineen

What has come upon you that you believe not in God, though the Prophet is calling you to believe in your Lord? And He has already taken your pledge, if you are believers.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 8

"هُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ"

Huwal lazee yunazzilu 'alaa 'abdiheee Aayaatim baiyinaatil liyukhrijakum minaz zulumaati ilan noor; wa innal laaha bikum la Ra'oofur Raheem

It is He who sends down splendent revelations to His votary that he may take you out of darkness into light; for surely God is gracious and kind to you.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوِي مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أَنْفَقَ مِنْ قَبْلِ الْفَتْحِ وَقَاتَلَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَقَاتَلُوا ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ"

Wa maa lakum allaa tunfiqoo fee sabeelil laahi wa lillaahi meeraasus samaawaati wal-ard; laa yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qablil fat-hi wa qaatal; ulaaaika a'zamu darajatam minal lazeena anfaqoo mim ba'du wa qaataloo; wa kullanw wa'adallaahul husnaa; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Khabeer

What has come upon you that you do not spend in the way of God, when the heritage of the heavens and the earth belongs to God? Those of you who spent before the victory and fought, are not equal (to those who did not). They are higher in position than those who spent after (the victory) and fought. To each one God has made the promise of excellence, for God is aware of all you do.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 10

"مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ وَلَهُ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ"

man zal lazee yuqridul laaha qardan hasanan fa yudaa'ifahoo lahoo wa lahooo ajrun kareem

Who will give a goodly loan to God which He will double for him, and be for him a splendid reward?

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 11

"يَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ بُشْرَاكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ"

Yawma taral mu'mineena walmu'minaati yas'aa nooruhum baina aydeehim wa biaymaanihim bushraakumul yawma jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feeha; zaalika huwal fawzul 'azeem

The day you see the believers, men and women, with their light advancing ahead and to the right of them, (they will be told:) "There is good news for you this day, of gardens with rivers flowing by where you will live for ever." This will be the great attainment.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 12

"يَوْمَ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا انْظُرُونَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِنْ نُورِكُمْ قِيلَ ارْجِعُوا وَرَاءَكُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوا نُورًا فَضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِسُورٍ لَهُ بَابٌ بَاطِنُهُ فِيهِ الرَّحْمَةُ وَظَاهِرُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ الْعَذَابُ"

Yawma yaqoolul munaa fiqoona walmunaafiqaatu lillazeena aamanun zuroonaa naqtabis min noorikum qeelarji'oo waraaa'akum faltamisoo nooran faduriba bainahum bisooril lahoo baab, baatinuhoo feehir rahmatu wa zaahiruhoo min qibalihi-'azaab

The day the hypocrites, men and women, will say to the believers: "Wait for us that we may borrow a little light from your light," they will be told: "Go back, and look for your light." A wall shall be raised between them in which there will be a door. Within it will be benevolence and retribution without.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 13

"يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ"

Yunaadoonahum alam nakum ma'akum qaaloo balaa wa laakinnakum fatantum anfusakum wa tarabbastum wartabtum wa gharratkumul amaaniyyu hatta jaaa'a amrul laahi wa gharrakum billaahil gharoor

They will call to them: "Were we not with you?" They will answer: "Certainly; but then you let yourselves be tempted, and waited in expectation but were suspicious and were deceived by vain desires, till the decree of God came to pass, and the deceiver duped you in respect of God.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 14

"فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَلَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ مَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ ۖ هِيَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ"

Fal Yawma laa yu'khazu minkum fidyatunw wa laa minal lazeena kafaroo; maawaakumun Naaru hiya maw laakum wa bi'sal maseer

So no ransom will be accepted of you on this day, or of those who refused to believe. Hell will be your refuge and the only friend -- and how evil a destination!"

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 15

"۞ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ"

Alam yaani lillazeena aamanooo an takhsha'a quloo buhum lizikril laahi wa maa nazala minal haqqi wa laa yakoonoo kallazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablu fataala 'alaihimul amadu faqasat quloobuhum wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

Has the moment not yet come when the hearts of believers should be moved by the thought of God and the truth that has been sent down, so that they should not be like those who received the Book before them but whose hearts were hardened after a lapse of time, and many of them turned disobedient?

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 16

"اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ"

I'lamooo annal laaha yuhyil arda ba'da mawtihaa; qad baiyannaa lakumul Aayaati la'allakum ta'qiloon

Know that God enlivens the earth even after it has died. We have explained to you clearly Our signs that you may understand.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 17

"إِنَّ الْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَالْمُصَّدِّقَاتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ"

Innal mussaddiqeena wal mussaddiqaati wa aqradul laaha qardan hassanany yudaa'afu lahum wa lahum ajrun kareem

Surely the men and women who spend in charity and give a goodly loan to God, will have it doubled for them and will receive a generous reward.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَالشُّهَدَاءُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ"

Wallazeena aamanoo billaahi wa Rusuliheee ulaaa'ika humus siddeeqoona wash shuhadaaa'u 'inda Rabbihim lahum ajruhum wa nooruhum wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi aayaatinaaa ulaaaika As haabul jaheem

Those who believe in God and His apostles are true of word and deed; and by their Lord are considered testifiers of the truth. They have their guerdon and their light. As for those who do not believe and reject Our revelations, are the people of Hell.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 19

"اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَامًا ۖ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ ۚ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ"

I'lamooo annamal hayaa tud dunyaa la'ibunw wa lahwunw wa zeenatunw wa tafaakhurum bainakum wa takaasurun fil amwaali wal awlaad, kamasali ghaisin a'jabal kuffaara nabaatuhoo summa yaheeju fataraahu musfaaran summa yakoonu hutaamaa; wa fil aakhirati 'azaabun shadeedunw wa magh firatum minal laahi wa ridwaan; wa mal haiyaa tuddun yaaa illaa mataa'ul ghuroor

Know that the life of this world is only a frolic and mummery, an ornamentation, boasting and bragging among yourselves, and lust for multiplying wealth and children. It is like rain so pleasing to the cultivator for his vegetation which sprouts and swells, and then begins to wither, and you see it turn to yellow and reduced to chaff. There is severe punishment in the Hereafter, but also forgiveness from God, and acceptance. As for the life of this world, it is no more than merchandise of vanity.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 20

"سَابِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ"

Saabiqooo ilaa maghfiratim mir Rabbikum wa jannatin 'arduhaa ka-'ardis samaaa'i wal ardi u'iddat lillazeena aamanoo billaahi wa Rusulih; zaalika fadlul laahi yu'teehi many yashaaa'; wal laahu zul fadlil 'azeem

Hasten for the forgiveness of your Lord and Paradise whose expanse is as wide as that of the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for those who believe in God and His apostles. This is the bounty of God which He bestows on whosoever He please; and the bounty of God is infinite.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 21

"مَا أَصَابَ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَبْرَأَهَا ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ"

Maaa asaaba mim musee batin fil ardi wa laa feee anfusikum illaa fee kitaabim min qabli an nabra ahaa; innaa zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer

There is no calamity that befalls the earth or your own selves but in accordance with the law (of causation) before We make it evident. This is indeed how the law of God works inevitably.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 22

"لِكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ"

Likailaa taasaw 'alaa maa faatakum wa laa tafrahoo bimaaa aataakum; wallaahu laa yuhibbu kulla mukhtaalin fakhoor

Lest you grieve for what you missed, or rejoice at what you received. God does not love the egoist and the braggart,

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 23

"الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ ۗ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ"

Allazeeena yabkhaloona wa yaamuroonan naasa bil bukhl; wa many yatawalla fa innal laaha Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

Who hold back what they possess and enjoin stinginess on others. Whoever turns away (from God, should remember) that God is self-sufficient, worthy of praise.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 24

"لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ"

Laqad arsalnaa Rusulanaa bilbaiyinaati wa anzalnaa ma'ahumul Kitaaba wal Meezaana liyaqooman naasu bilqist, wa anzalnal hadeeda feehi baasun shadeedunw wa manaafi'u linnaasi wa liya'lamal laahu many yansuruhoo wa Rusulahoo bilghaib; innal laaha Qawiyyn 'Azeez

We have surely sent apostles with clear signs, and sent with them the Book and the Balance, so that men may stand by justice; and We sent down iron which causes much distress but also has advantages for men, so that God may know who helps Him and His apostles in secret. Verily God is all-powerful and all-mighty.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مُهْتَدٍ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ"

Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohanw wa Ibraaheema wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihiman nubuwwata wal Kitaaba faminhum muhtad; wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

We sent Noah and Abraham, and gave prophethood to their progeny and the Book, and some of them are well-directed, but many of them are disobedient.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 26

"ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنْجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ"

Summa qaffainaa 'alaa aasaarihim bi Rusulinaa wa qaffainaa be 'Eesab ni Maryama wa aatainaahul Injeela wa ja'alnaa fee quloobil lazeenat taba' oohu raafatanw wa rahmatanw wa rahbaaniyyatanib tada' oohaa maa katanaahaa 'alaihim illab tighaaa'a ridwaanil laahi famaa ra'awhaa haqqa ri'aayatihaa fa aatainal lazeena aamanoo minhum ajrahum wa kaseerum minhum faasiqoon

Then in their train We sent Our apostles, and succeeding them Jesus, son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel, and put into the hearts of his followers compassion and kindness. But they created monasticism which had not been prescribed for them by Us except for seeking the pleasure of God; yet they did not observe it as it should have been rightly observed. So We gave those among them who were believers their reward; but most of them are disobedient.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 27

"يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَآمِنُوا بِرَسُولِهِ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ نُورًا تَمْشُونَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ"

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamaanut taqullaaha wa aaminoo bi Rasoolihee yu'tikum kiflaini mir rahmatihee wa yaj'al lakum nooran tamshoona bihee wa yaghfir lakum; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem

O you who believe, have fear of displeasing God, and believe in His Prophet. He will give you twice as much of His bounty and place a light for you to walk in, and forgive you, for God is forgiving and kind;

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 28

"لِئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ"

Li'alla ya'lama Ahlul kitaabi allaa yaqdiroona 'alaa shai'im min fadlil laahi wa annal fadla bi Yadil laahi u'teehi many yashaaa'; wallaahu Zul fadilil 'azeem (End Juz 27)

So that the people of the Book may know that they have not the least power over the bounty of God, and that the bounty is wholly in the hands of God to give whosoever He please, for God is the master of infinite bounty.

Surah Number : 57 , Ayat Number : 29
