"۞ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكَ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرًا"

Qaala alam aqul laka innaka lan tastatee'a ma'iya sabraa

He said: "Did I not tell you you will not be able to bear with me?"

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 75

"قَالَ إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي ۖ قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّي عُذْرًا"

Qaala in sa altuka 'an shai'im ba'dahaa falaa tusaahibnee qad balaghta mil ladunnee 'uzraa

Moses said: "If I ask you any thing again then do not keep me with you. You have my apology."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 76

"فَانْطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَتَيَا أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ اسْتَطْعَمَا أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارًا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنْقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُ ۖ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَاتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا"'

Fantalaqaa hattaaa izaaa atayaaa ahla qaryatinis tat'amaaa ahlahaa fa abaw any yudaiyifoohumaa fawajadaa feehaa jidaarany yureedu any yanqadda fa aqaamah; qaala law shi'ta lattakhazta 'alaihi ajraa

The two went on till they came upon some villagers, and asked the people for food, but they refused to entertain them. There they found a wall that was crumbling, which he repaired. Moses remarked: "You could have demanded wages for it if you liked."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 77

"قَالَ هَٰذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكَ ۚ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ عَلَيْهِ صَبْرًا"

Qaala haazaa firaaqu bainee wa bainik; sa unabi 'uka bitaaweeli maa lam tastati' 'alaihi sabraa

"This is the parting of our "ways," he said. "But I will now explain the things you could not bear:

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 78

"أَمَّا السَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَاكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَاءَهُمْ مَلِكٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًا"

Ammas safeenatu fakaanat limasaakeena ya'maloona fil bahri fa arattu an a'eebahaa wa kaana waraaa' ahum malikuny yaakhuzu kulla safeenatin ghasbaa

That boat belonged to poor people who used to toil on the sea. I damaged it because there was a king after them who used to seize every ship by force.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 79

"وَأَمَّا الْغُلَامُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَا أَنْ يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا"

Wa aammal ghulaamu fakaana abawaahu mu'minaini fakhasheenaaa any yurhiqa humaa tughyaananw wa kufraa

As for the boy, his parents were believers, but we feared that he would harass them with defiance and disbelief.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 80

"فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ زَكَاةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا"

Faradnaa any yubdila humaa Rabbuhumaa khairam minhu zakaatanw wa aqraba ruhmaa

We hoped their Lord would give them a substitute better than him in virtue and goodness.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 81

"وَأَمَّا الْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَامَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُ كَنْزٌ لَهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَالِحًا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَا أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنْزَهُمَا رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَمْرِي ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِعْ عَلَيْهِ صَبْرًا"

Wa ammal jidaaru fakaana lighulaamaini yateemaini fil madeenati wa kaana tahtahoo kanzul lahumaa wa kaana aboohumaa saalihan fa araada Rabbuka any yablughaaa ashuddahumaa wa yastakhrijaa kanzahumaa rahmatam mir Rabbik; wa maa fa'altuhoo 'an amree; zaalika taaweelu maa lam tasti' 'alaihi sabra (Section 10)

As for that wall, it belonged to two orphan boys of the city, and their treasure was buried under it. Their father was an upright man. So your Lord willed that on reaching the age of maturity they should dig out their treasure as a favour from their Lord. So, I did not do that of my own accord. This is the explanation of things you could not bear with patience."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 82

"وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنْ ذِي الْقَرْنَيْنِ ۖ قُلْ سَأَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًا"

Wa yas'aloonaka 'an Zil Qarnaini qul sa atloo 'alaikum minhu zikraa

They ask you about Dhu?l-Qarnain.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 83

"إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَآتَيْنَاهُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَبَبًا"

Innaa makkannaa lahoo fil ardi wa aatainaahu min kulli shai'in sababaa

Say: "I will cite before you his commemoration." We gave him authority in the land and means of accomplishing every end.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 84

"فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا"

Fa atba'a sababaa

So he followed a certain road

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 85

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا قَوْمًا ۗ قُلْنَا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّا أَنْ تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا"

Hattaaa izaa balagha maghribash shamsi wajadahaaa taghrubu fee 'aynin hami'a tinw wa wajada 'indahaa qawmaa; qulnaa yaa Zal Qarnaini immaaa an tu'az ziba wa immaaa an tattakhiza feehim husnaa

Till he reached the point of the setting sun, and saw it set behind a muddy lake, and near it found a people. We said: "O Dhu?l-Qarnain, you may either punish them or treat them with kindness."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 86

"قَالَ أَمَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا نُكْرًا"

Qaala amaa man zalama fasawfa nu'azzibuhoo summa yuraddu ilaa Rabbihee fa yu 'azzibuhoo azaaban nukraa

He said: "I shall punish whosoever is wicked. He will then be sent back to his Lord who will inflict on him a terrible punishment.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 87

"وَأَمَّا مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُ جَزَاءً الْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًا"

Wa ammaa man aamana wa 'amila saalihan falahoo jazaaa'anil husnaa wa sanaqoolu lahoo min amrinaa yusraa

But he who believes and does the right will have an excellent reward, and we shall make things easy for him."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 88

"ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا"

Summa atba'a sababaa

He then followed (another) road

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 89

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرًا"

Hattaaa izaa balagha matli'ash shamsi wajdahaa tatlu'u alaa qawmil lam naj'al lahum min doonihaa sitraa

Till he reached the point of the rising sun, and saw it rise over a people for whom We had provided no shelter against it.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 90

"كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًا"

Kazaalika wa qad ahatnaa bimaa ladaihi khubraa

It was so, for We were fully informed about him.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 91

"ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا"

Summa atba'a sababaa

He then followed (another) road

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 92

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا"

Hattaaa izaa balagha bainas saddaini wajada min doonihimaa qawmal laa yakaa doona yafqahoona qawlaa

Till he reached a place between two mountains, and found this side of it a people who understood but little of what was spoken.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 93

"قَالُوا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا"

Qaaloo yaa Zal qarnaini inna Yaajooja wa Maajooja mufsidoona fil ardi fahal naj'alu laka kharjan 'alaaa an taj'ala bainanaa wa bainahum saddas

They said: ?O Dhu?l-Qarnain, Gog and Magog are oppressing the land. May we pay you some tribute so that you could build a rampart between us and them?"

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 94

"قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّي فِيهِ رَبِّي خَيْرٌ فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا"

Qaala maa makkannee feehi Rabbee khairun fa-a'eenoonee biquwwatin aj'al bainakum wa bainahum radmaa

He said: "The ability my Lord has given me is better. So help me with your manual labour; I will build a wall between you and them.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 95

"آتُونِي زُبَرَ الْحَدِيدِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ الصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ انْفُخُوا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَعَلَهُ نَارًا قَالَ آتُونِي أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا"

Aatoonee zubaral hadeed, hattaaa izaa saawaa bainas sadafaini qaalan fukhoo hattaaa izaa ja'alahoo naaran qaala aatooneee ufrigh 'alaihi qitraa

Bring me ingots of iron," (which they did) until the space between two mountain sides was filled up. "Blow your bellows," he said; (and they blew) until it was red hot. "Bring me molten brass," he said, "that I may pour over it."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 96

"فَمَا اسْطَاعُوا أَنْ يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا لَهُ نَقْبًا"

Famas taa'ooo any yazharoohu wa mastataa'oo lahoo naqbaa

Thus (Gog and Magog) could neither climb over it nor dig a hole through (the rampart).

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 97

"قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحْمَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّي ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّي جَعَلَهُ دَكَّاءَ ۖ وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّي حَقًّا"

Qaala haaza rahmatummir Rabbee fa izaa jaaa'a wa'du Rabbee ja'alahoo dakkaaa'a; wa kaana; wa du Rabbee haqqaa

"This is the benevolence of my Lord," he said; "but when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will reduce it to a mound of dust; and the promise of my Lord is true."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 98

"۞ وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَمُوجُ فِي بَعْضٍ ۖ وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَاهُمْ جَمْعًا"

Wa taraknaa ba'dahum Yawma'iziny yamooju fee ba'dinw wa nufikha fis Soori fajama'naahum jam'aa

We shall leave them on that day surging like waves pressing one against the other, and the trumpet blast will be sounded, when We shall gather them all together.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 99

"وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَرْضًا"

Wa 'aradnaa jahannama Yawma'izil lilkaafireena 'ardaa

Then We shall bring Hell right before the infidels

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 100

"الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءٍ عَنْ ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا"

Allazeena kaanat a'yunuhum fee ghitaaa'in 'an zikree wa kaanoo la yastatee'oona sam'aa (section 11)

Whose eyes were veiled against My warning, and they could not hear.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 101

"أَفَحَسِبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنْ يَتَّخِذُوا عِبَادِي مِنْ دُونِي أَوْلِيَاءَ ۚ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نُزُلًا"

Afahasibal lazeena kafarooo any yattakhizoo 'ibaadee min dooneee awliyaaa'; innaaa a'tadnaa jahannama lilkaafi reena nuzulaa

Do the unbelievers think they can make My own creatures their protectors against Me? We have prepared Hell for the hospitality of infidels.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 102

"قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا"

Qul hal nunabbi'ukum bilakhsareena a'maalaa

Say: "Shall I tell you whose labour will be wasted?

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 103

"الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا"

Allazeena dalla sa'yuhum fil hayaatid dunyaa wa hum yahsaboona annahum yuhsinoona sun'aa

Theirs whose effort is misspent in pursuit of the pleasures of the world, even though they think they are doing good things."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 104

"أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَائِهِ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنًا"

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena kafaroo bi aayaati Rabbihim wa liqaaa'ihee fahabitat a'maaluhum falaa nuqeemu lahum Yawmal Qiyaamati waznaa

They are those who reject the signs of their Lord, and the meeting with Him. So their good deeds will be fruitless, and on the Day of Judgement We shall not appoint any weighing for them.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 105

"ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا"

Zaalika jazaaa'uhum jahannamu bimaa kafaroo wattakhazooo Aayaatee wa Rusulee huzuwaa

Their requital will be Hell, because they disbelieved and mocked My signs and messengers.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 106

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا"

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati kaanat lahum Jannaatul Firdawsi nuzulaa

But surely those who believe and do the right will have gardens of Paradise as gift,

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 107

"خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًا"

Khaalideena feeha la yabghoona 'anhaa hiwalaa

Where they will abide for ever, never wanting a change.

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 108

"قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا"

Qul law kaanal bahru midaadal lik Kalimaati Rabbee lanafidal bahru qabla an tanfada Kalimaatu Rabbee wa law ji'naa bimislihee madadaa

Say: "If the ocean turned to ink for writing down the colloquy of my Lord, the ocean itself would be exhausted ere the words (and wonders) of my Lord come to end, even if we brought another like it for replenishment."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 109

"قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا"

Qul innamaaa ana basharum mislukum yoohaaa ilaiya annamaa ilaahukum Ilaahunw Waahid; faman kaana yarjoo liqaaa'a Rabbihee falya'mal 'amalan saalihanw wa laa yushrik bi'ibaadati Rabbiheee ahadaa (section 12)

Say: "I am only a man like you, but it has been communicated to me that your Lord is one and single God, and that whosoever hopes to meet his Lord should do what is right, and not associate any one in the worship of his Lord."

Surah Number : 18 , Ayat Number : 110

كهيعص

Kaaaf-Haa-Yaa-'Ayyyn-Saaad    

KAF HA YA ?AIN SAD.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 1

"ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّا"

Zikru rahmati Rabbika 'abdahoo Zakariyya

Commemorate the beneficence of your Lord on Zachariah, His devotee,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً خَفِيًّا"

Iz naadaa Rabbahoo nidaaa'an khafiyyaa

When he called to his Lord inwardly,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 3

"قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنْ بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا"

Qaala Rabbi innee wahanal'azmu minnee washta'alar raasu shaibanw wa lam akum bidu'aaa'ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa

And said: "O my Lord, my bones decay, my head is white and hoary, yet in calling You, O Lord, I have never been deprived.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوَالِيَ مِنْ وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا"

Wa innee khiftul mawaa liya minw waraaa'ee wa kaana tim ra atee 'aairan fahab lee mil ladunka waliyyaa

But I fear my relatives after me; and my wife is barren. So grant me a successor as a favour from You

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 5

"يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا"

Yarisunee wa yarisu min aali Ya'qoob, waj'alhu Rabbi radiyya

Who will be heir to me, and heir to the house of Jacob; and make him obedient to You, O Lord."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 6

"يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا"

Yaa Zakariyyaaa innaa nubashshiruka bighulaami nismuhoo Yahyaa lam naj'al lahoo min qablu samiyyaa

"O Zachariah," (it was) said, "We give you good news of a son by name of John.? To none have We attributed the name before."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 7

"قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا"

Qaala Rabbi annaa yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wa kaanatim ra atee aaqiranw wa qad balaghtu minal kibari 'itiyyaa

"How can I have a son, O Lord" he said, "when my wife is barren and I am old and decrepit?"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 8

"قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًا"

Qaala kazaalika qaala Rabbuka huwa 'alaiya haiyinunw wa qad khalaqtuka min qablu wa lam taku shai'aa

(The angel) answered: "Thus will it be. Your Lord said: ?This is easy for Me; for when I brought you into being you were nothing.?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 9

"قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَةً ۚ قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا"

Qaala Rabbij 'al leee Aayah; qaala Aayatuka allaa tukalliman naasa salaasa layaalin sawiyyaa

He said: "O Lord, give me a token." "Though sound," He answered, "you will not talk to any one for three nights running."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا"

Fakharaja 'alaa qawmihee minal mihraabi fa-awhaaa ilaihim an sabbihoo bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

So he came from the chamber to his people, and suggested to them (by signs) to sing the praises of the Lord morning and evening.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 11

"يَا يَحْيَىٰ خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا"

Yaa Yahyaa khuzil Kitaaba biquwwatinw wa aatainaahul hukma saiyyaa

(We said:) "O John, hold fast to the Book;" and We gave him wisdom right from boyhood,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَحَنَانًا مِنْ لَدُنَّا وَزَكَاةً ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا"

Wa hanaanam mil ladunnaa wa zakaatanw wa kaana taqiyyaa

And compassion from Us, and goodness. So he was devout,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا"

Wa barram biwaalidayhi wa lam yakum jabbaaran 'asiyyaa

And kind to his parents, neither arrogant nor disobedient.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَسَلَامٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا"

Wa salaamun 'alaihi yawma wulida wa yawma yamootu wa yawma yub'asu haiyaa (section 1)

So peace on him the day he was born, the day he will die, and the day that he will be raised from the dead.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ انْتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا"

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Maryma; izin tabazat min ahlihaa makaanan shariqiyyaa

Commemorate Mary in the Book. When she withdrew from her family to a place in the East

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 16

"فَاتَّخَذَتْ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا"

Fattakhazat min doonihim hijaaban fa arsalnaaa ilaihaa roohanaa fatamassala lahaa basharan sawiyyaa

And took cover from them, We sent a spirit of Ours to her who appeared before her in the concrete form of a man.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 17

"قَالَتْ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنْكَ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَقِيًّا"

Qaalat inneee a'oozu bir Rahmaani minka in kunta taqiyyaa

"I seek refuge in the Merciful from you, if you fear Him," she said.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 18

"قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَامًا زَكِيًّا"

Qaala innamaa ana rasoolu Rabbiki li ahaba laki ghulaaman zakiyyaa

He replied: "I am only a messenger from your Lord (sent) to bestow a good son on you."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 19

"قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا"

Qaalat anna yakoonu lee ghulaamunw wa lam yamsasnee bashrunw wa lam aku baghiyyaa

"How can I have a son," she said, "when no man has touched me, nor am I sinful?"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 20

"قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَقْضِيًّا"

Qaala kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki huwa 'alaiya haiyimunw wa linaj 'alahooo Aayatal linnaasi wa rahmatam minnaa; wa kaana amram maqdiyyaa

He said: "Thus will it be. Your Lord said: ?It is easy for Me,? and that: ?We shall make him a sign for men and a blessing from Us.? This is a thing already decreed."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 21

"۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَانْتَبَذَتْ بِهِ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا"

Fahamalat hu fantabazat bihee makaanan qasiyyaa

When she conceived him she went away to a distant place.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَا لَيْتَنِي مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنْتُ نَسْيًا مَنْسِيًّا"

Fa ajaaa 'ahal makhaadu ilaa jiz'in nakhlati qaalat yaa laitanee mittu qabla haazaa wa kuntu nasyam mansiyyaa

The birth pangs led her to the trunk of a date-palm tree. "Would that I had died before this," she said, "and become a thing forgotten, unremembered."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 23

"فَنَادَاهَا مِنْ تَحْتِهَا أَلَّا تَحْزَنِي قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا"

Fanaadaahaa min tahtihaan allaa tahzanee qad ja'ala Rabbuki tahtaki sariyyaa

Then (a voice) called to her from below: "Grieve not; your Lord has made a rivulet gush forth right below you.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا"

Wa huzzeee ilaiki bijiz 'in nakhlati tusaaqit 'alaiki rutaban janiyyaa

Shake the trunk of the date-palm tree, and it will drop ripe dates for you.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 25

"فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِي إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنْسِيًّا"

Fakulee washrabee wa qarree 'ainaa; fa immaa tarayinnna minal bashari ahadan faqooleee innee nazartu lir Rahmaani sawman falan ukallimal yawma insiyyaa

Eat and drink, and be at peace. If you see any man, tell him: ?I have verily vowed a fast to Ar-Rahman and cannot speak to any one this day.?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 26

"فَأَتَتْ بِهِ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ ۖ قَالُوا يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا"

Fa atat bihee qawmahaa tahmiluhoo qaaloo yaa Maryamoo laqad ji'ti shai'an fariyyaa

Then she brought the child to her people. They exclaimed: "O Mary, you have done a most astonishing thing!

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 27

"يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا"

Yaaa ukkhta Haaroona maa kaana abokim ra-a saw'inw wa maa kaanat ummuki baghiyyaa

O sister of Aaron, your father was not a wicked person, nor your mother sinful!"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا"

Fa ashaarat ilaih; qaaloo kaifa nukallimu man kaana fil mahdi sabiyyaa

But she pointed towards him. "How can we talk to one," they said, "who is only an infant in the cradle?"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 29

"قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا"

Qaala innee 'abdullaahi aataaniyal Kitaaba wa ja'alanee Nabiyyaa

"I am a servant of God," he answered. "He has given me a Book and made me a prophet,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُ وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا"

Wa ja'alanee mubaarakan aina maa kuntu wa awsaanee bis Salaati waz Zakaati maa dumtu haiyaa

And blessed me wherever I may be, and enjoined on me worship and zakat for as long as I live,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا"

Wa barram biwaalidatee wa lam yaj'alnee jabbaaran shaqiyyaa

And be dutiful to my mother. He has not made me haughty or rebellious.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا"

Wassalaamu 'alaiya yawma wulittu wa yawma amootu wa yawma ub'asu baiyaa

There was peace on me the day I was born, and will be the day I die, and on the day I will be raised from the dead."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 33

"ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قَوْلَ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ"

Zaalika 'Eesab-nu Maryama; qawlal haqqil lazee feehi yamtaroon

This was Jesus, son of Mary: A true account they contend about.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 34

"مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ"

Maa kaana lillaahi ai yattakhiza minw waladin Subhaanah; izaa qadaaa amran fa innamaa yaqoolu lahoo kun fa yakoon

It does not behove God to have a son. Too immaculate is He! When He decrees a thing He has only to say: "Be", and it is.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ"

Wa innal laaha Rabbee wa Rabbukum fa'budooh; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

(Jesus only said:) "Surely God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 36

"فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ مَشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ"

Fakhtalafal ahzaabu mim bainihim fawailul lillazeena kafaroo mim mashhadi Yawmin 'azeem

Yet the sectarians differed among themselves. Alas for the unbelievers when they see the Terrible Day!

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 37

"أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَٰكِنِ الظَّالِمُونَ الْيَوْمَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ"

Asmi' bihim wa absir Yawma yaatoonanaa laakiniz zaalimoonal yawma fee dalaalim mubeen

How keenly would they hear and see when they come before Us then, even though today the evil-doers are lost in palpable error.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Wa anzirhum Yawmal hasrati iz qudiyal amr; wa hum fee ghaflatinw wa hum laa yu'minoon

Warn them of that day of pining when all matters will have been settled, though they would still be unaware and unbelieving (of the truth).

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 39

"إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ"

Innaa NNahnu narisul arda wa man 'alaihaa wa ilainaa yurja'oon (section 2)

Verily We shall inherit the earth and whosoever is on it, and to Us they will return.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَبِيًّا"

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Ibraaheem; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

Commemorate Abraham in the Book: He was upright, a prophet.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 41

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَبِيًّا"

Iz qaala li abeehi yaaa abati lima ta'budu maa laa yasma'u wa laa yubsiru wa laa yughnee 'anka shai'aa

Remember, when he said to his father: "O my father, why do you worship that which can neither hear nor see nor even profit you the least?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 42

"يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدْ جَاءَنِي مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَاتَّبِعْنِي أَهْدِكَ صِرَاطًا سَوِيًّا"

Yaaa abati innee qad jaaa'anee minal 'ilmi maa lam yaatika fattabi'neee ahdika siraatan Sawiyyaa

O my father, to me has come such knowledge as never came to you. So follow me that I may show you the right path.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 43

"يَا أَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ الشَّيْطَانَ ۖ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَصِيًّا"

Yaaa abati laa ta'budish Shaitaana innash Shaitaana kaana lir Rahmaani 'asiyyaa

Why do you worship Satan, O father? Verily Satan was disobedient to Ar-Rahman.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 44

"يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيًّا"

Yaaa abati innee akhaafu ai yamassaka 'azaabum minar Rahmaani fatakoona lish Shaitaani waliyyaa

O my father, I fear lest a punishment from Ar-Rahman should befall you, and you should become a friend of the Devil."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 45

"قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنْتَ عَنْ آلِهَتِي يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ۖ لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖ وَاهْجُرْنِي مَلِيًّا"

Qaala araaghibun anta 'an aalihatee yaaa Ibraaheemu la 'il lam tantahi la arjumannaka wahjumee maliyyaa

He said: "Are you averse to my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I shall have you stoned to death. So go away for a while from me."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 46

"قَالَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ ۖ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّي ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِي حَفِيًّا"

Qaala salaamun 'alaika sa astaghfiru laka Rabbeee innahoo kaana bee hafiyyaa

He answered: "Peace be on you. I will seek forgiveness of my Lord for you. He has been gracious to me.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَأَدْعُو رَبِّي عَسَىٰ أَلَّا أَكُونَ بِدُعَاءِ رَبِّي شَقِيًّا"

Wa a'tazilukum wa maa tad'oona min doonil laahi wa ad'o Rabbee 'asaaa allaaa akoona bidu'aaa'i Rabbee shaqiyyaa

I will leave you and those you invoke apart from God, and pray to my Lord. Haply in praying to my Lord I will not be deprived."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 48

"فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا"

Falamma' tazalahum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil laahi wahabnaa lahoo is-haaqa wa ya'qoob, wa kullan ja'alnaa Nabiyyaa

Thus, when he left them and the (idols) they worshipped, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and made each of them a prophet,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 49

"وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا"

Wa wahabnaa lahum mirrahmatinaa wa ja'alnaa lahum lisaana sidqin 'aliyyaa (section 3)

And bestowed on them some of Our blessings, and gave them high renown.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مُوسَىٰ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَبِيًّا"

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Moosaaa; innahoo kaana mukhlasanw wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

Commemorate Moses in the Book. He was a chosen one, both an apostle and a prophet.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 51

"وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّا"

Wa naadainaahu min jaanibit Tooril aimani wa qarrabnaahu najiyyaa

We called him from the right side of the Mount, and brought him close for communion;

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 52

"وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِنَا أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ نَبِيًّا"

Wa wahabnaa lahoo mir rahmatinaaa akhaahu Haaroona Nabiyyaa

And bestowed on him his brother Aaron, a prophet, through Our benevolence.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 53

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَبِيًّا"

Wazkur fil Kitaabi ismaa'eel; innahoo kaana saadiqal wa'di wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa

Commemorate Ishmael in the Book. He was true of his promise, and a messenger, a prophet.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 54

"وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّا"

Wa kaana yaamuru ahlahoo bis Salaati waz zakaati wa kaana 'inda Rabbihee mardiyyaa

He enjoined on his household worship and zakat, and he was obedient to his Lord.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 55

"وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِدْرِيسَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَبِيًّا"

Wazkur fil Kitaabi Idrees; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa

Commemorate Enoch in the Book. He was a truthful person and a prophet,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 56

"وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا"

Wa rafa'naahu makaanan 'aliyyaa

And We raised him to an exalted station.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 57

"أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا ۚ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا ۩"

Ulaaa'ikal lazeena an'amal laahu 'alaihim minan Nabiyyeena min zurriyyati Aadama wa mimman hamalnaa ma'a Noohinw wa min zurriyyati Ibraaheema wa Israaa'eela wa mimman hadainaa wajta bainaaa; izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatur Rahmaani kharroo sujjadanw wa bukiyyaa (make sajda)

These are (some of) those who were favoured by God among the prophets of the progeny of Adam, and of those We bore in the ark with Noah, and the offspring of Abraham and Israel, and of those We guided and We chose, for they bowed weeping in adoration when the revelations of Ar-Rahman were recited to them.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 58

"۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا"

Fakhalafa mim ba'dihim khalfun adaa'us Salaata wattaba'ush shahawaati fasawfa yalqawna ghaiyaa

But they are succeeded by a generation who neglect their devotional obligations and follow only earthly pleasures; but they will reach the wrong road and meet destruction,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 59

"إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا"

Illaa man taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yadkhuloonal jannata wa laa yuzlamoona shai'aa

Except those who repent and come to believe and do the right. These will enter Paradise and will not be wronged the least

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 60

"جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَأْتِيًّا"

Jannaati 'adninil latee wa'adar Rahmaanu ibaadahoo bilghaib; innahoo kaana wa'duhoo maatiyyaa

In the gardens of Eden promised by Ar-Rahman to His creatures in the unknown (future). Verily His promise will come to pass.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 61

"لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَامًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا"

Laa yasma'oona feehaa laghwan illaa salaamaa; wa lahum rizquhum feehaa bukratanw wa 'ashiyyaa

They will hear no vain talk there, but only salutations of peace, and they will have their sustenance morning and evening."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 62

"تِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَنْ كَانَ تَقِيًّا"

Tilkal jannatul latee noorisu min 'ibaadinaa man kaana taqiyyaa

This is the Paradise those of Our creatures will inherit who take heed and fear the displeasure of God.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 63

"وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا"

Wa maa natanazzalu illaa bi amri Rabbika lahoo maa baina aideenaa wa maa khalfanaa wa maa baina zaalik; wa maa kaana Rabbuka nasiyyaa

"We do not come down," (will the angels say) "but only by your Lord?s command." To Him belongs whatever lies before us and behind us, and the space in between. Your Lord does not ever forget:

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 64

"رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ ۚ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّا"

Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa fa'bud hu wastabir li'ibaadatih; hal ta'lamu lahoo samiyyaa (section 4)

Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them. Therefore worship Him, and be constant in His worship. Do you know any namesake of His?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 65

"وَيَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَإِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا"

Wa yaqoolul insaanu 'aizaa maa mittu lasawfa ukhraju haiyaa

Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 66

"أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْئًا"

awalaa yazkurul insaanu annaa khalaqnaahu min qablu wa lam yaku shai'aa

Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 67

"فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا"

Fawa Rabbika lanahshu rannahum wash shayaateena summa lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jisiyyaa

By your Lord, We shall gather them and the devils together, then bring them crawling on their knees around Hell.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 68

"ثُمَّ لَنَنْزِعَنَّ مِنْ كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمَٰنِ عِتِيًّا"

Summa lananzi 'anna min kulli shee'atin aiyuhum ashaddu 'alar Rahmaani 'itiyyaa

We shall pull out of every section those who were most perversely rebellious against Ar-Rahman.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 69

"ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِالَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا"

Summa lanahnu a'lamu billazeena hum awlaa bihaa siliyyaa

We know best who deserve to be burnt in (the Fire).

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 70

"وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَقْضِيًّا"

Wa im minkum illaa waa riduhaa; kaana 'alaa Rabbika hatmam maqdiyyaa

There is not one among you who will not reach it. Your Lord has made this incumbent on Himself.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 71

"ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا"

Summa nunajjil lazeenat taqaw wa nazaruz zaalimeena feehaa jisiyyaa

We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 72

"وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا"

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo aiyul fareeqaini khairum maqaamanw wa ahsanu nadiyyaa

When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?"

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 73

"وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا"

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu asaasanw wa ri'yaa

How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them!

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 74

"قُلْ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الضَّلَالَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مَدًّا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُنْدًا"

Qul man kaana fidda laalati falyamdud lahur Rahmaanu maddaa; hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona immal 'azaaba wa immas Saa'ata fasa ya'lamoona man huwa sharrum makaananw wa ad'afu jundaa

Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 75

"وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى ۗ وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَرَدًّا"

Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa

God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 76

"أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا"

Afara'aytal lazee kafara bi Aayaatinaa wa qaala la oota yanna maalanw wa waladaa

Have you seen him who denies Our revelations, and says: "I will certainly be given wealth and children."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 77

"أَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا"

Attala'al ghaiba amitta khaza'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

Has he peeped into the Unknown, or obtained a promise from Ar-Rahman?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 78

"كَلَّا ۚ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا"

Kallaa; sanaktubu maa yaqoolu wa namuddu lahoo minal 'azaabi maddaa

Never so. We shall certainly write down what he says, and prolong the extent of his punishment.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 79

"وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا"

Wa narisuhoo maa yaqoolu wa yaateenaa fardaa

All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 80

"وَاتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا"

Wattakhazoo min doonil laahi aalihatal liyakoonoo lahum 'izzaa

They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 81

"كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا"

Kallaa; sa yakfuroona bi'ibaadatihim wa yakoonoona 'alaihim diddaa (section 9)

Never. They will deny their devotion and become their adversaries.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 82

"أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا"

Alam tara annaaa arsalnash Shayaateena 'alal kaafireena ta'uzzuhum azzaa

Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 83

"فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا"

Falaa ta'jal alaihim innamaa na 'uddu lahum 'addaa

So, do not be hasty with them. We are counting their number (of days).

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 84

"يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًا"

Yawma nahshurul muttaqeena ilar Rahmaani wafdaa

The day We shall usher the righteous before Ar-Rahman like envoys into the presence of a king,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 85

"وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا"

Wa nasooqul mujrimeena ilaa Jahannama wirdaa

And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 86

"لَا يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا"

Laa yamlikoonash shafaa'ta illaa manittakhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa

None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 87

"وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا"

Wa qaalut takhazar Rahmaanu waladaa

They say: "God has begotten a son."

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 88

"لَقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّا"

Laqad ji'tum shai'an iddaa

You have uttered a grievous thing

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 89

"تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَ…خِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا"

Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna minhu wa tanshaq qul ardu wa takhirrul jibaalu haddaa

Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 90

"أَنْ دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا"

An da'aw lir Rahmaani waladaa

For they have attributed a son to Ar-Rahman,

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 91

"وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا"

Wa maa yambaghee lir Rahmaani ai yattakhiza waladaa

When it does not behove the Merciful to have a son.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 92

"إِنْ كُلُّ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًا"

In kullu man fis samaawaati wal ardi illaaa aatir Rahmaani 'abdaa

There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 93

"لَقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا"

Laqad ahsaahum wa addahum 'addaa

He has counted them and calculated their number.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 94

"وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدًا"

Wa kulluhum aateehi Yawmal Qiyaamati fardaa

Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 95

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّا"

Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati sa yaj'alu lahumur Rahmaanu wuddaa

Surely Ar-Rahman will show love for those who believe and do the right.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 96

"فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنْذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُدًّا"

Fa innamaa yassarnaahu bilisaanika litubashshira bihil muttaqeena wa tunzira bihee qawmal luddaa

So We have made this (Qur?an) easy in your tongue that you may give good news to those who take heed, and warn the people who are contentious.

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 97

"وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا"

Wa kam ahlaknaa qabla hum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasma'u lahum rikzaa (section 6)

How many generations have We laid low before them. Do you see any sign of them, or hear the least whisper of them?

Surah Number : 19 , Ayat Number : 98

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 1

"مَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لِتَشْقَىٰ"

Maaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Qur-aana litashqaaa

We have not sent down the Qur?an to you that you should be burdened,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِمَنْ يَخْشَىٰ"

Illaa tazkiratal limany yakshaa

But as admonition for him who fears --

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 3

"تَنْزِيلًا مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ الْعُلَى"

Tanzeelam mimman khalaqal arda was samaawaatil 'ulaa

A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 4

"الرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ"

Ar-Rahmaanu 'alal 'Arshis tawaa

The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority).

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 5

"لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرَىٰ"

Lahoo maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa maa tahtassaraa

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَإِنْ تَجْهَرْ بِالْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى"

Wa in tajhar bilqawli fainnahoo ya'lamus sirra wa akhfaa

Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 7

"اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ"

Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaaha Huwa lahul Asmaaa'ul Husnaa

God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ"

Wa hal ataaka hadeesu Moosa

Has the story of Moses come to you?

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 9

"إِذْ رَأَىٰ نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوا إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارًا لَعَلِّي آتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى النَّارِ هُدًى"

Iz ra aa naaran faqaala li alhlihim kusooo inneee aanastu naaral la'alleee aateekum minhaa biqabasin aw ajidu 'alan naari hudaa

When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَلَمَّا أَتَاهَا نُودِيَ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Falammaaa ataahaa noodiya yaa Moosaa

When he approached it, a voice called out:

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 11

"إِنِّي أَنَا رَبُّكَ فَاخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى"

Inneee Ana Rabbuka fakhla' na'laika innaka bilwaadil muqaddasi Tuwaa

"O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَأَنَا اخْتَرْتُكَ فَاسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰ"

Wa anakhtartuka fastami' limaa yoohaa

I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 13

"إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي"

Innaneee Anal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Ana fa'budnee wa aqimis-salaata lizikree

I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 14

"إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ"

Innas Saa'ata aatiyatun akaadu ukhfeehaa litujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa tas'aa

Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 15

"فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ"

Falaa yasuddannnaka 'anhaa mal laa yu'minu bihaa wattaba'a hawaahu fatardaa

So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَمَا تِلْكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Wa maa tilka bi yamee nika yaa Moosaa

What is that in your right band, O Moses?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 17

"قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَآرِبُ أُخْرَىٰ"

Qaala hiya 'asaaya atawakka'u alaihaa wa ahushshu bihaa 'alaa ghanamee wa liya feehaa ma aaribu ukhraa

"It?s my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 18

"قَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Qaala alqihaa yaa Moosaa

"Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice).

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 19

"فَأَلْقَاهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٌ تَسْعَىٰ"

Fa-alqaahaa fa -izaa hiya haiyatun tas'aa

So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 20

"قَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا الْأُولَىٰ"

Qaala khuzhaa wa laa ta khaf sanu'eeduhaa seeratahal oolaa

"Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَاضْمُمْ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ آيَةً أُخْرَىٰ"

Wadmum yadaka ilaa janaahika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairi sooo'in Aayatan ukhraa

And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 22

"لِنُرِيَكَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا الْكُبْرَى"

Linuriyaka min Aayaatinal Kubra

That We may go on showing you Our greater signs.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 23

"اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ"

Izhab ilaa Fir'awna innahoo taghaa (section 1)

Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 24

"قَالَ رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي"

Qaala Rabbish rah lee sadree

Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي"

Wa yassir leee amree

And make my mission easy.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي"

Wahlul 'uqdatam milli saanee

Remove the defect of my tongue

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 27

"يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي"

Yafqahoo qawlee

That they may understand my speech,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَاجْعَلْ لِي وَزِيرًا مِنْ أَهْلِي"

Waj'al lee wazeeram min ahlee

And give me as assistant from my family

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 29

"هَارُونَ أَخِي"

Haaroona akhee

Aaron my brother

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 30

"اشْدُدْ بِهِ أَزْرِي"

Ushdud biheee azree

To strengthen me

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَأَشْرِكْهُ فِي أَمْرِي"

Wa ashrik hu feee amree

And share my task,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 32

"كَيْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًا"

Kai nusabbihaka kaseeraa

That we may sing Your praises much,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَنَذْكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا"

Wa nazkuraka kaseeraa

And remember you a great deal.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 34

"إِنَّكَ كُنْتَ بِنَا بَصِيرًا"

Innaka kunta binaa baseeraa

Surely You know us well."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 35

"قَالَ قَدْ أُوتِيتَ سُؤْلَكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Qaala qad ooteeta su'laka yaa Moosaa

He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَيْكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَىٰ"

Wa laqad manannaa 'alaika marratan ukhraaa

We have bestowed Our favour on you before this

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 37

"إِذْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰ"

Iz awhainaaa ilaaa ummika maa yoohaaa

When We told your mother what We relate:

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 38

"أَنِ اقْذِفِيهِ فِي التّ…تُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِي"

Aniqzifeehi fit Taabooti faqzifeehi fil yammi fal yul qihil yammu bis saahili yaakhuzhu 'aduwwul lee wa 'aduwwul lah; wa alqaitu 'alaika mahabbatam minnee wa litusna'a 'alaa 'ainee

?Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.? We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 39

"إِذْ تَمْشِي أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَكْفُلُهُ ۖ فَرَجَعْنَاكَ إِلَىٰ أُمِّكَ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ ۚ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَاكَ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّاكَ فُتُونًا ۚ فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Iz tamsheee ukhtuka fataqoolu hal adullukum 'alaa mai yakfuluhoo faraja 'naaka ilaaa ummika kai taqarra 'ainuhaa wa laa tahzan; wa qatalta nafsan fanajjainaaka minal ghammi wa fatannaaka futoonaa; falabista sineena feee ahli Madyana summa ji'ta 'alaa qadariny yaa Moosa

Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): ?Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?? We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَاصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسِي"

Wastana' tuka linafsee

And I chose you for Myself.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 41

"اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِآيَاتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِي"

Izhab anta wa akhooka bi Aayaatee wa laa taniyaa fee zikree

Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 42

"اذْهَبَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ"

Izhabaaa ilaa Fir'awna innahoo taghaa

Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 43

"فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَيِّنًا لَعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ"

Faqoolaa lahoo qawlal laiyinal la allahoo yatazakkkaru 'aw yakhshaa

Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 44

"قَالَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَوْ أَنْ يَطْغَىٰ"

Qaalaa Rabbanaaa innanaa nakhaafu ai yafruta 'alainaaa aw ai yatghaa

They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 45

"قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا ۖ إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ"

Qaala laa takhaafaaa innanee ma'akumaa asma'u wa araa

(The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 46

"فَأْتِيَاهُ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ ۖ قَدْ جِئْنَاكَ بِآيَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَىٰ"

Faatiyaahu faqoolaaa innaa Rasoolaa Rabbika fa arsil ma'anaa Banee Israaa'eela wa laa tu'azzibhum qad ji'naaka bi Aayatim mir Rabbika wassa laamu 'alaa manit taba'al hudaa

So go to him and say: ?The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 47

"إِنَّا قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْنَا أَنَّ الْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ"

Innaa qad oohiya ilainaaa annnal 'azaaba 'alaa man kaz zaba wa tawalla

It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 48

"قَالَ فَمَنْ رَبُّكُمَا يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Qaala famar Rabbu kumaa yaa Moosa

He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 49

"قَالَ رَبُّنَا الَّذِي أَعْطَىٰ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ"

Qaala Rabbunal lazeee a'taa kulla shai'in khalqahoo summa hadaa

(Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 50

"قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُونِ الْأُولَىٰ"

Qaala famaa baalul quroonil oolaa

(The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 51

"قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي فِي كِتَابٍ ۖ لَا يَضِلُّ رَبِّي وَلَا يَنْسَى"

Qaala 'ilmuhaa 'inda Rabee fee kitaab, laa yadillu Rabbee wa laa yansaa

(Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 52

"الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْ نَبَاتٍ شَتَّىٰ"

Allazee ja'ala lakumul arda mahdanw wa salaka lakum feehaa subulanw wa anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa akhrajnaa biheee azwaajam min nabaatin shatta

It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 53

"كُلُوا وَارْعَوْا أَنْعَامَكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِأُولِي النُّهَىٰ"

Kuloo war'aw an'aamakum; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil li ulin nuhaa

To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 54

"۞ مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ"

Minhaa khalaqnaakum wa feehaa nu'eedukum wa minhaa nukhrijukum taaratan ukhraa

We created you from the earth and will revert you back to it; and raise you up from it a second time.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 55

"وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ"

Wa laqad arainaahu Aayaatinaa kullahaa fakaz zaba wa abaa

So We showed him all Our signs, but he denied them and refused,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 56

"قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Qaala aji'tanaa litukhri janaa min ardinaa bisihrika yaa Moosa

And said: "Have you come to us, O Moses, to drive us out of our land with your witchery?

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 57

"فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِثْلِهِ فَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَا نُخْلِفُهُ نَحْنُ وَلَا أَنْتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى"

Falanaatiyannaka bisihrim mislihee faj'al bainanaa wa bainaka maw'idal laa nukhlifuhoo nahnu wa laaa anta makaanan suwaa

We shall certainly meet you with like magic. So make an appointment when we and you could meet on common ground, which neither we nor you should fail to keep."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 58

"قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ الزِّينَةِ وَأَنْ يُحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى"

Qaala maw'idukum yawmuz zeenati wa ai yuhsharan naasu duhaa

Said (Moses): "Let your meeting be on the day of the Feast, and let people assemble in broad daylight."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 59

"فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ"

Fatawallaa Fir'awnu fajjama'a kaidahoo summa ataa

After this the Pharaoh withdrew and settled his stratagem, then came back.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 60

"قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ وَيْلَكُمْ لَا تَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا فَيُسْحِتَكُمْ بِعَذَابٍ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ افْتَرَىٰ"

Qaala lahum Moosaa wailakum laa taftaroo 'alal laahi kaziban fa yus hitakum bi 'azaab, wa qad khaaba manif taraa

Moses said to them: "Woe betide you. Do not fabricate a lie against God, or He will destroy you with some affliction. For he who fabricates lies is doomed to failure."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 61

"فَتَنَازَعُوا أَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّجْوَىٰ"

Fatanaaza'ooo amrahum bainahum wa asarrun najwaa

So they discussed their strategy among themselves and conferred privately,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 62

"قَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَانِ لَسَاحِرَانِ يُرِيدَانِ أَنْ يُخْرِجَاكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِمَا وَيَذْهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ الْمُثْلَىٰ"

Qaalooo in haaazaani lasaahiraani yureedaani ai yukhrijaakum min ardikum bisihrihimaa wa yazhabaa bitareeqatikumul muslaa

(And) said: "These two are surely magicians. They want to deprive you of your land with their magic, and eradicate your distinct way (of life).

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 63

"فَأَجْمِعُوا كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ائْتُوا صَفًّا ۚ وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْيَوْمَ مَنِ اسْتَعْلَىٰ"

Fa ajmi'oo kaidakum summma'too saffaa; wa qad aflahal yawma manis ta'laa

So prepare your strategy and come forward. He alone shall win today who is superior."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 64

"قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِمَّا أَنْ تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ"

Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa immaaa an tulqiya wa immaaa an nakoona awala man alqaa

They said: "Either you cast (your spell), O Moses, or we shall cast it first."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 65

"قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ"

Qaala bal alqoo fa izaa hibaaluhum wa 'isiyyuhum yuhaiyalu ilaihi min sihrihim annahaa tas'aa

Moses said: "No. You cast it first" Then it seemed to Moses that by their magic their cords and rods were flying;

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 66

"فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مُوسَىٰ"

Fa awjasa fee nafsihee kheefatam Moosa

And Moses felt afraid within himself.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 67

"قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْأَعْلَىٰ"

Qulnaa laa takhaf innaka antal a'laa

We said to him: "Fear not. You will certainly be victorious.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 68

"وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوا ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ ۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ"

Wa alqi maa fee yamee nika talqaf maa sana'oo; innamaa sana'oo kaidu saahir; wa laa yuflihus saahiru haisu ataa

Throw down what is in your right hand: It will swallow up what they have conjured. For what they have fashioned is only a trick of the sorcerer; and a sorcerer does not succeed wherever he may come."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 69

"فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ"

Fa ulqiyas saharatu sujjadan qaalooo aamannaa bi Rabbi Haaroona wa Moosa

The magicians, (seeing the miracle), fell down in prostration, saying: "We believe in the Lord of Moses and Aaron."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 70

"قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ ۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فِي جُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَا أَشَدُّ عَذَابًا وَأَبْقَىٰ"

Qaala aamantum lahoo qabla an aazana lakum; innahoo lakabeerukumul lazee 'allama kumus sihra fala uqatti'anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafinw wa la usallibannakum fee juzoo'in nakhli wa lata'lamunna aiyunaaa ashaddu 'azaabanw wa abqaa

(The Pharaoh) said: "You have come to believe without my dispensation. Surely he is your chief who taught you magic. I will have your hands and feet cut off on alternate sides and crucify you on the trunks of date-palm trees. You will come to know whose punishment is harder and protracted."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 71

"قَالُوا لَنْ نُؤْثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالَّذِي فَطَرَنَا ۖ فَاقْضِ مَا أَنْتَ قَاضٍ ۖ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا"

Qaaloo lan nu'siraka 'alaa maa jaaa'anaa minal baiyinaati wallazee fataranaa faqdi maaa anta qaad; innamaa taqdee haazihil hayaatad dunyaa

They replied: "We cannot choose you in the face of the clear testimony we have received, and over Him who created us. So do what you are determined to do. All that you would do will only be confined to our life on earth.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 72

"إِنَّا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَغْفِرَ لَنَا خَطَايَانَا وَمَا أَكْرَهْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنَ السِّحْرِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ"

Innaaa aamannaa bi Rabbinaa liyaghfira lanaa khataayaanaa wa maaa akrahtanaa 'alaihi minas sihr; wallaahu khairunw waabqaa

We have certainly come to believe in our Lord that He may forgive our trespasses and the magic you have forced us to perform, for God is nobler and abiding."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 73

"إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَأْتِ رَبَّهُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ"

Innahoo mai yaati Rabbahoo mujriman fa inna lahoo Jahannama laa yamotu feehaa wa laa yahyaa

Surely for him who comes before his Lord a sinner shall be Hell, where he will neither die nor live.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 74

"وَمَنْ يَأْتِهِ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجَاتُ الْعُلَىٰ"

Wa mai yaatihee mu'minan qad 'amilas saalihaati fa ulaaa'ika lahumud dara jaatul 'ulaa

But whoever comes before Him a believer having done good deeds, will be raised to higher stations --

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 75

"جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ"

Jannaatu 'Adnin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa'ua man tazakka (section 3)

Gardens of Eden with rippling streams, where he will live for ever. This is the recompense of those who achieve integrity.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 76

"وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي فَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا فِي الْبَحْرِ يَبَسًا لَا تَخَافُ دَرَكًا وَلَا تَخْشَىٰ"

Wa laqad awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi'ibaadee fadrib lahum tareeqan fil bahri yabasal laa takhaafu darakanw wa laa takhshaa

We commanded Moses: "Journey by night with Our creatures, and strike a dry path for them through the sea. Do not fear being overtaken, nor have dread of any thing."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 77

"فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُمْ مِنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ"

Fa atba'ahum Fir'awnu bijunoodihee faghashiyahum minal yammmi maa ghashi yahum

Then the Pharaoh followed them with his army, but the sea overpowered and engulfed them.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 78

"وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُ وَمَا هَدَىٰ"

wa adalla fir'awnu qawmahoo wa maa hadaa

The Pharaoh had led his people astray, and did not rightly guide them.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 79

"يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَدْ أَنْجَيْنَاكُمْ مِنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَوَاعَدْنَاكُمْ جَانِبَ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ"

Yaa Baneee Israaa'eela qad anjainaakum min 'aduw wikum wa wa'adnaakum jaanibat Tooril aimana wa nazzalnaa 'alaikumul Manna was Salwaa

O children of Israel, We delivered you from your enemy, and made a covenant with you on the right side of the Mount, and sent down for you manna and quails,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 80

"كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبِي ۖ وَمَنْ يَحْلِلْ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِي فَقَدْ هَوَىٰ"

Kuloo min taiyibaati maa razaqnaakum wa laa tatghaw feehi fa yahilla 'alaikum ghadabee wa mai yahlil 'alaihi ghadabee faqad hawaa

(And said): "Eat of the good things We have given you for food, and do not exceed the bounds (of law) in this, or My wrath will surely fall upon you; and he who incurs My wrath will fall into the abyss.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 81

"وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَىٰ"

Wa innee la Ghaffaarul liman taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan summah tadaa

Yet I am gracious to him who repents and believes, and does the right, and follows the straight path.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 82

"۞ وَمَا أَعْجَلَكَ عَنْ قَوْمِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ"

Wa maaa a'jalaka 'an qawmika yaa Moosa

What made you hurry away, O Moses, from your people?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 83

"قَالَ هُمْ أُولَاءِ عَلَىٰ أَثَرِي وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَىٰ"

Qaala hum ulaaa'i 'alaaa asaree wa 'ajiltu ilaika Rabbi litardaa

He said: "They are right behind me. I have hastened to You, O Lord, so that You may be pleased."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 84

"قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدْ فَتَنَّا قَوْمَكَ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ السَّامِرِيُّ"

Qaala fa innaa qad fatannaa qawmaka mim ba'dika wa adallahumus Saamiriyy

He said: "We have put your people on trial in your absence; and Sameri has led them astray."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 85

"فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا ۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدْتُمْ أَنْ يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُمْ مَوْعِدِي"

Faraja's Moosaaa ilaa qawmihee ghadbaana asifaa; qaala yaa qawmi alam ya'idkum Rabbukum wa'dan hasanaa; afataala 'alaikumul 'ahdu am arattum ai yahilla 'alaikum ghadabum mir Rabbikum fa akhlaftum maw'idee

So Moses returned to his people full of anger and regret. "O my people," he said, "did not your Lord make you a better promise? Did the time of covenant seem too long to you? Or did you wish the wrath of your Lord to fall upon you that you broke the promise you had made to me?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 86

"قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَا أَوْزَارًا مِنْ زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ"

Qaaloo maaa akhlafnaa maw'idaka bimalkinna wa laakinna hummilnaaa awzaaram min zeenatil qawmi faqazafnaahaa fakazaalika alqas Saamiriyy

They said: "We did not break our promise to you of our own will, but we were made to carry the loads of ornaments belonging to the people, which we threw (into the fire), and so did Sameri.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 87

"فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَهُ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِيَ"

Fa akhraja lahum 'ijlan jasadal lahoo khuwaarun faqaaloo haazaaa ilaahukum wa ilaahu Moosaa fanasee

Then he produced the image of a calf which mooed like a cow. And they said: ?This is your god and the god of Moses (whom) he has neglected."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 88

"أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا"

Afalaa yarawna allaa yarji'u ilaihim qawlanw wa laa yamliku lahum darranw wa laa naf'aa (section 4)

Did they not see that it did not give them any answer, nor had it power to do them harm or bring them gain?

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 89

"وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَارُونُ مِنْ قَبْلُ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنْتُمْ بِهِ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاتَّبِعُونِي وَأَطِيعُوا أَمْرِي"

Wa laqad qaala lahum Haaroonu min qablu yaa qawmi innamaa futintum bihee wa inna Rabbakumur Rahmaanu fattabi'oonee wa atee'ooo amree

Aaron had indeed told them earlier: "O my people, you are being only misled with this. Surely your Lord is Ar-Rahman. So follow me and obey my command."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 90

"قَالُوا لَنْ نَبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ"

Qaaloo lan nabraha 'alaihi 'aakifeena hattaa yarji'a ilainaa Moosaa

They said "So long as Moses does not come back we are not going to give it up, and we will remain devoted to it."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 91

"قَالَ يَا هَارُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوا"

Qaala Yaa Haaroonu maa mana 'aka iz ra aitahum dallooo

But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 92

"أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖ أَفَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِي"

Allaa tattabi'ani afa'asaita amree

From coming after me? Did you not disobey my command?" (And Moses pulled him by the hair).

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 93

"قَالَ يَا ابْنَ أُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِي وَلَا بِرَأْسِي ۖ إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِي"

Qaala yabna'umma laa taakhuz bilihyatee wa laa biraasee innee khashetu an taqoola farraqta baina Baneee Israaa'eela wa lam tarqub qawlee

"O son of my mother," (Aaron cried), do not pull me by my beard or my hair! I was really afraid you may say that I had created a rift among the children of Israel, and did not pay heed to your command."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 94

"قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكَ يَا سَامِرِيُّ"

Qaala famaa khatbuka yaa Saamiriyy

Moses asked: "O Sameri, what was the matter?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 95

"قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِنْ أَثَرِ الرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي"

Qaala basurtu bimaa lam yabsuroo bihee faqabadtu qabdatam min asarir Rasooli fanabaztuhaa wa kazaalika sawwalat lee nafsee

He said: "I saw what they did not see. I picked up a handful of dust from the messenger?s tracks and threw it in, for the idea seemed attractive to me."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 96

"قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ أَنْ تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَنْ تُخْلَفَهُ ۖ وَانْظُرْ إِلَىٰ إِلَٰهِكَ الَّذِي ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا ۖ لَنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ ثُمَّ لَنَنْسِفَنَّهُ فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفًا"

Qaala fazhab fa inna laka fil hayaati an taqoola laa misaasa wa inna laka maw'idal lan tukhlafahoo wanzur ilaaa ilaahikal lazee zalta 'alaihi 'aakifaa; lanuharriqannnahoo summa lanansifanahoo fil yammi nasfaa

(Moses) said: "Go hence! All your life you are (cursed) to say: ?Do not touch me; and a threat hangs over you which you will not be able to escape. Look at your god to whom you are so attached: We shall verily burn it, and disperse its ashes into the sea.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 97

"إِنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا"

Innamaaa ilaahukkumul laahul lazee laa ilaaha illaa Hoo; wasi'a kulla shai'in ilmaa

Your god is only God. There is no other god but He. His knowledge extends over everything."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 98

"كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ ۚ وَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ مِنْ لَدُنَّا ذِكْرًا"

Kazaalika naqussu 'alaika min ambaaa'i maa qad sabaq; wa qad aatainaaka mil ladunnaa Zikraa

Thus do We narrate some account to you of what has gone before, and We have truly given you a Reminder of Our own.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 99

"مَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْمِلُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وِزْرًا"

Man a'rada 'anhu, fa innahoo yahmilu Yawmal Qiyaamati wizraa

Whoever turns away from it will surely carry a burden on the Day of Judgement,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 100

"خَالِدِينَ فِيهِ ۖ وَسَاءَ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِمْلًا"

Khaalideena feehi wa saaa'a lahum Yawmal Qiyaamati himlaa

And will live for ever under it. How evil the burden they will carry on the Day of Doom!

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 101

"يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ وَنَحْشُرُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا"

Yawma yunfakhu fissoori wa nahshurul mujrimeena Yawma 'izin zurqaa

The day the trumpet blast is sounded We shall raise the sinners blind,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 102

"يَتَخَافَتُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا عَشْرًا"

Yatakhaafatoona bainahum il labistum illaa 'ashraa

Whispering to one another: "You have tarried but ten days."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 103

"نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَ…بِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًا"

nahnu a'lamu bimaa yaqooloona iz yaqoolu amsaluhum tareeqatan illabistum illaa yawmaa (section 5)

We know well what they will say when the most upright among them will say: "You did not tarry more than a day."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 104

"وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنْسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا"

Wa yas'aloonaka 'anil jibaali faqul yansifuhaa Rabbee nasfaa

They will ask you about the mountains. Tell them: "My Lord will uproot them from the base,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 105

"فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا"

Fa yazaruhaa qaa'an safsafaa

And turn them into a level plain,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 106

"لَا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَا أَمْتًا"

Laa taraa feehaa 'iwajanw wa laaa amtaa

Over which you will see no curves or elevations.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 107

"يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ ۖ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا"

Yawma iziny yattabi'oonad daa'iya laa 'iwaja lahoo wa khasha'atil aswaatu lir Rahmaani falaa tasma'u illaa hamsaa

That day they will follow the summoner from whom there will be no receding; and their voices will be hushed before Ar-Rahman, and you will not hear a sound but faint shuffling.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 108

"يَوْمَئِذٍ لَا تَنْفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُ قَوْلًا"

Yawma 'izil laa tanfa'ush shafaa'atu illaa man azina lahur Rahmaanu wa radiya lahoo qawlaa

On that day no intercession will matter other than his whom Ar-Rahman grants permission and accepts.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 109

"يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْمًا"

Ya'lamu maa bainaa aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yauheetoona bihee 'ilmaa

He knows what is before them and hidden from them, but they cannot grasp it with their knowledge.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 110

"۞ وَعَنَتِ الْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَيِّ الْقَيُّومِ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْمًا"

Wa 'anatil wujoohu lil Haiiyil Qaiyoomi wa qad khaaba man hamala zulmaa

All heads will be bowed before the Living, the Eternal; and whosoever bears a load of iniquity will be full of despair.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 111

"وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا يَخَافُ ظُلْمًا وَلَا هَضْمًا"

Wa mai ya'mal minas saalihaati wa huwa mu'minun falaa yakhaafu zulmanw wa laa hadmaa

But he who has done good things and believes, will have no fear of either being wronged or deprived.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 112

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا وَصَرَّفْنَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ ذِكْرًا"

Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyanw wa sarrafnaa fee hi minal wa'eedi la'allahum yattaqoona aw yuhdisu lahum zikraa

That is why We have sent it down as an eloquent Qur?an, and explained in different ways the intimidations through it that they may haply take heed, or perhaps it may lead them to contemplate.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 113

"فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۗ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يُقْضَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُ ۖ وَقُلْ رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا"

Fata'aalal laahul Malikul Haqq; wa laa ta'jal bil Quraani min qabli ai yuqdaaa ilaika wahyuhoo wa qur Rabbi zidnee 'ilmaa

Exalted then be God, the real King; and do not try to anticipate the Qur?an before the completion of its revelation, but pray: "O Lord, give me greater knowledge."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 114

"وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنَا إِلَىٰ آدَمَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَنَسِيَ وَلَمْ نَجِدْ لَهُ عَزْمًا"

Wa laqad 'ahidnaaa ilaaa Aadama min qablu fanasiya wa lam najid lahoo 'azmaa (section 6)

We had commanded Adam before, but he disregarded it: We found him lacking in resolution.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 115

"وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ"

Wa iz qulnaa lilma laaa'ikatis judoo li Aadama fasajadooo illaaa Iblees; abaa

When We said to the angels: ??Bow before Adam,?? they all bowed but Iblis, who refused.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 116

"فَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا عَدُوٌّ لَكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰ"

Faqulnaa yaaa Aadamu inna haazaa 'aduwwul laka wa lizawjika falaa yukhrijan nakumaa minal Jannati fatashqaa

So We said; "O Adam, he is truly your enemy and your wife?s. Do not let him have you turned out of Paradise and come to grief.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 117

"إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعْرَىٰ"

Innaa laka allaa tajoo'a feeha wa laa ta'raa

Verily you will have no hunger or nakedness there,

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 118

"وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظْمَأُ فِيهَا وَلَا تَضْحَىٰ"

Wa annaka laa tazma'u feehaa wa laa tadhaa

Nor thirst nor exposure to the sun."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 119

"فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانُ قَالَ يَا آدَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ الْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍ لَا يَبْلَىٰ"

Fa waswasa ilaihish Shaitaanu qaala yaaa Aadamu hal adulluka 'alaa shajaratil khuldi wa mulkil laa yablaa

But then Satan tempted him by saying: "O Adam, should I show you the tree of immortality, and a kingdom that will never know any wane?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 120

"فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ ۚ وَعَصَىٰ آدَمُ رَبَّهُ فَغَوَىٰ"

Fa akalaa minhaa fabadat lahumaa saw aatuhumaa wa tafiqaa yakhsifaani 'alaihimaa minw waraqil jannah; wa 'asaaa Aadamu Rabbahoo faghawaa

And both ate of (its fruit), and their hidden parts were exposed to one another, and they patched the leaves of the garden (to hide them). Adam disobeyed his Lord, and went astray.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 121

"ثُمَّ اجْتَبَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَىٰ"

Summaj tabbahu Rabbuhoo fataaba 'alaihi wa hadaa

Then his Lord chose him and relented towards him, and showed him the way;

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 122

"قَالَ اهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًا ۖ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ مِنِّي هُدًى فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ"

Qaalah bita minhaa jamee'am ba'dukum liba'din 'aduww; fa immaa yaati yannakum minnee hudan famanit taba'a hudaaya falaa yadillu wa laa yashhqaa

(And) said: "Go down hence together, one the enemy of the other. Then will guidance come to you from Me; and whoever follows My direction will neither be disgraced nor be miserable.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 123

"وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَىٰ"

Wa man a'rada 'an Zikree fa inna lahoo ma'eeshatan dankanw wa nahshuruhoo Yawmal Qiyaamati a'maa

But he who fails to heed My warning will have his means restricted; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him blind."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 124

"قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِي أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنْتُ بَصِيرًا"

Qaala Rabbi lima hashar tanee a'maa wa qad kuntu baseeraa

He will ask: "O Lord, why have you raised me blind when I was able to see?"

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 125

"قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنْسَىٰ"

Qaala kazaalika atatka Aayaatunaa fanaseetahaa wa kazaalikal Yawma tunsaa

(God) will say: "Because Our signs came to you, but you disregarded them. So shall We disregard you this day."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 126

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ ۚ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰ"

Wa kazaalika najzee man asrafa wa lam yu'mim bi Aayaati Rabbih; wa la'azaabul Aakhirati ashaddu wa abqaa

And that is how We requite him who is extravagant and does not believe the signs of his Lord; and surely the punishment of the Hereafter is far more severe and persistent.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 127

"أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِأُولِي النُّهَىٰ"

Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaa qablahum minal qurooni yamshoona fee masaakinihim; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil li ulinnuhaa (section 7)

Did they not learn from the many generations that We destroyed before them, whose habitations they now frequent? Verily there are signs in this for men of understanding.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 128

"وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًا وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى"

Wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika lakaana lizaamanw wa ajalum musammaa

If the decree (of respite) had not been pronounced by your Lord, (the inevitable judgement would have ensued); but a term is fixed (for everything).

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 129

"فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ آنَاءِ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ"

Fasbir 'alaa maa yaqooloona wa sabbih bihamdi Rabbika qabla tuloo'ish shamsi wa qabla ghuroobihaa wa min aanaaa'il laili fasabbih wa atraafan nahaari la 'allaka tardaa

So you bear with patience what they say, and sing the praises of your Lord before the rising and setting of the sun, and honour Him in the watches of the night, and then at the two ends of day, that you may find acceptance.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 130

"وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ"

Wa laa tamuddanna 'ainaika ilaa ma matta'na biheee azwajam minhum zahratal hayaatid dunya linaftinahum feeh; wa rizqu Rabbika khairunw wa abqaa

Do not covet what We have granted myriads of people of the pomp and glitter of this world to tempt them. The means your Lord has given you are better far and more enduring.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 131

"وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا ۖ لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا ۖ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ ۗ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ"

Waamur ahlaka bis Salaati wastabir 'alaihaa la nas'aluka rizqaa; nahnu narzuquk; wal 'aaqibatu littaqwaa

Enjoin on your people service to God, and be yourself constant in it. We do not ask you to provide: It is We who provide for you. The reward is for piety and fear of God.

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 132

"وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۚ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِمْ بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ"

Wa qaaloo law laa yaateenaa bi Aayatim mmir Rabbih; awalam taatihim baiyinatu maa fis suhufil oolaa

Yet they say: "Why does he not bring a sign from his Lord?" Have not clear proofs come to them in what is contained in the earlier Books?

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 133

"وَلَوْ أَنَّا أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ لَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ"

Wa law annaaa ahlaknaahum bi'azaabim min qablihee laqaaloo Rabbanaa law laaa arsalta ilainaa Rasoolan fanattabi'a Aayaatika min qabli an nazilla wa nakhzaa

If We had destroyed them by some calamity sooner than this, they would have surely said: "O Lord, if You had sent to us a messenger we would have followed Your command before being humbled and disgraced."

Surah Number : 20 , Ayat Number : 134

"قُلْ كُلٌّ مُتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ"

Qul kullum mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasta'lamoona man Ashaabus Siraatis Sawiyyi wa manih tadaa (section 8) (End Juz 16)

Say: "Each one awaits the consequence; so you wait. You will come to know soon who are the men of the straight path and who have come to guidance.
