"۞ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا" Wa qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa law laaa unzila 'alainal malaaa'ikatu awnaraa Rabbanaa; laqadistakbaroo feee anfusihim wa 'ataw 'utuwwan kabeeraa Those who do not hope to meet Us say: "Why are no angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" They are full of self-conceit and behave with intense arrogance.

"يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَحْجُورًا" Yawma yarawnal malaaa 'ikata laa bushraa Yawma'izil lilmujrimeena wa yaqooloona hijram mahjooraa The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!"

"وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًا" Wa qadimnaaa ilaa maa 'amiloo min 'amalin faja'alnaahu habaaa'am mansooraa We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 23 |

"أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا" As haabul jannati yawma'izin khairum mustaqar ranw wa ahsanu maqeela The inmates of Paradise will have a better abode that day, and a better resting place.

"وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَاءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَنْزِيلًا" Wa Yawma tashaqqaqus samaaa'u bilghamaami wa nuzzilal malaaa'ikatu tanzeela The day the heavens splits asunder with a dazzling white cloud gathering and the angels descend in a continuous stream,

"الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ عَسِيرًا" Almulku Yawma'izinil haqqu lir Rahmaan; wa kaana Yawman'alal kaafireena 'aseeraa The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels!

"وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا" Wa Yawma ya'adduz zaalimu 'alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaa laitanit takhaztu ma'ar Rasooli sabeelaa The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 27 |

"يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا" Yaa wailataa laitanee lam attakhiz fulaanan khaleelaa Woe alas, ah would I had not taken so-and-so as friend!
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 28 |

"لَقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَنِي ۗ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنْسَانِ خَذُولًا" Laqad adallanee 'aniz zikri ba'da iz jaaa'anee; wa kaanash Shaitaanu lil insaani khazoolaa He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 29 |

"وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا" Wa qaalar Rasoolu yaa Rabbi inna qawmit takhazoo haazal Qur-aana mahjooraa The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur?an."
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 30 |

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا" Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli Nabiyyin 'aduwwam minal mujrimeen; wa kafaa bi Rabbika haadiyanw wa naseeraa Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 31 |

"وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا" Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Quraanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur?an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 32 |

"وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا" Wa laa yaatoonaka bimasainn illaa ji'naaka bilhaqqi wa ahsana tafseeraa There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 33 |

"الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا" Allazeena yuhsharoona 'alaa wujoohim ilaa jahannama ulaaa'ika sharrum makaananw wa adallu sabeelaa )section 3) Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path.

"وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُ أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ وَزِيرًا" Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa ja'alnaa ma'ahooo akhaahu Haaroona wazeeraa We gave Moses the Book, and made his brother Aaron his minister,
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 35 |

"فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا" Faqulnaz habaaa ilal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fadammarnaahum tadmeeraa Then We told them: "Go to the people who have rejected Our signs." Then We annihilated them completely.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 36 |

"وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا" Wa qawma Noohil lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa We had drowned the people of Noah when they had accused the apostles of lies, and turned them into an example for men. We have prepared a painful punishment for the wicked.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 37 |

"وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا" Wa 'Aadanw Samooda wa As haabar Rassi wa quroonam baina zaalika kaseeraa (As for) ?Ad, Thamud and the people of ar-Rass, and many generations in between them,
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 38 |

"وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا" Wa kullandarabnaa lahul amsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera We administered warnings to each of them, and then destroyed them completely.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 39 |

"وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا" Wa laqad ataw 'alal qaryatil lateee umtirat mataras saw'; afalam yakoonoo yarawnahaa; bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushooraa They must have surely passed by the town on which We had rained the terrible rain of ruin. How could they not have seen it? Still they do not dread the Resurrection.

"وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِنْ يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا" Wa izaa ra awka iny yattakhizoonaka illaa huzuwan ahaazal lazee ba'asal laahu Rasoolaa When they see you they take you only in jest: "Is this the one whom God has sent as messenger?
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 41 |

"إِنْ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا" In kaada la yudillunaa 'an aalihatinaa law laaa an sabarnaa 'alaihaa; wa sawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawnal 'azaaba man adallu sabeela He would have surely turned us away from our gods if we had not adhered to them." They will know soon who is farther away from the path when they see the punishment!
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 42 |

"أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنْتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا" Ara'aita manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu afa anta takoonu 'alaihi wakeelaa Have you considered him who takes his own lust for his god? Can you stand a surety for him?
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 43 |

"أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا" Am tahsabu annna aksarahum yasma'oona aw ya''qiloon; in hum illaa kal an'aami bal hum adallu sabeelan (section 4) Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are no better than cattle; in fact they are farther astray from the path.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 44 |

"أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا" Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a laja'alahoo saakinan summa ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihe daleelaa Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? He could have kept it motionless if He liked. Yet We make the sun its pilot to show the way.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 45 |

"ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَاهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا" Summa qabadnaahu ilainaa qabdany yaseeraa Then We draw it back to Us, withdrawing it little by little.

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا" Wa Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul laila libaasanw wannawma subaatanw wa ja'alan nahaara nushooraa It is He who made the night a covering for you; and made sleep for rest, the day for rising.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 47 |

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا" Wa Huwal lazeee arsalar riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an tahooraa It is He who sends the winds with auspicious news in advance of His benevolence; and We send pure water down from the sky
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 48 |

"لِنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا" Linuhyiya bihee balda tam maitanw wa nusqiyahoo mimmaa khalaqnaaa an'aa manw wa anaasiyya kaseeraa To quicken a region that was dead, and to give it as drink to animals We have created and to men in plenty.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 49 |

"وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا" Wa laqad sarrafnaahu bainahum li yazzakkaroo fa abaaa aksarun naasi illaa kufooraa And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 50 |

"وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَذِيرًا" Wa law shi'naa laba'asnaa fee kulli qar yatin nazeeraa Had We pleased We could have raised a warner in every town.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 51 |

"فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُمْ بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا" Falaa tuti'il kaafireena wa jaahidhum bihee jihaadan kabeeraa So do not listen to unbelievers, and strive against them with greater effort.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 52 |

"۞ وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَحْجُورًا" Wa Huwal lazee marajal bahraini haazaa 'azbun furaatunw wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa ja'ala bainahumaa barzakhanw wa hijram mahjooraa It is He who made two bodies of water flow side by side, one fresh (and) sweet, the other brine (and) bitter, and has placed an interstice, a barrier between them.

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا" Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharran fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 54 |

"وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا" Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'uhum wa laa yadurruhum; wa kaanal kaafiru 'alaa Rabbihee zaheeraa And yet they worship besides God what cannot bring them gain or do them harm. The unbeliever has always been an auxiliary against his Lord.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 55 |

"وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا" Wa maa arsalnaaka illaa mubashshiranw wa nazeeraa Yet We have not sent you but to give good tidings and to warn.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 56 |

"قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا" Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa Tell them: "I do not ask any recompense of you for this other than (urging) whoever likes may take the way to his Lord."
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 57 |

"وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا" Wa tawakkal 'alal Haiyil lazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdih; wa kafaa bihee bizunoobi 'ibaadihee khabeeraa Have trust in God the Living, who will never die, and sing His hallelujas; for He is well aware of the sins of His creatures.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 58 |

"الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا" Allazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati aiyaamin summmmastawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ar Rahmaanu fas'al bihee khabeeraa He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed.

"وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩" Wa izaa qeela lahumus judoo lir Rahmaani qaaloo wa mar Rahmaanu anasjudu limaa taamurunaa wa zaadahum nufooraa (section 5) (make sajda) When you say to them: "Bow before Ar-Rahman," they say: "What is Ar-Rahman? Should we adore whoever you ask us to?" And their aversion increases further.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 60 |

"تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا" Tabaarakal lazee ja'ala fis samaaa'i buroojanw wa ja'ala feehaa siraajanw wa qamaram muneeraa Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 61 |

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا" Wa huwal lazee ja'alal laila wannahaara khilfatal liman araada ai yazzakkara aw araadaa shookooraa It is He who made the night and day an alternation for him who cares to reflect and be grateful.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 62 |

"وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا" Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa khaata bahumul jaahiloona qaaloo salaamaa Devotees of Ar-Rahman are those who walk with humility on the earth, and when they are addressed by the ignorant, say: ?Peace;"
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 63 |

"وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا" Wallazeena yabeetoona li Rabbihim sujjadanw wa qiyaamaa And those who spend their nights bowed and standing before their Lord;
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 64 |

"وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا" Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanas rif 'annnaa 'azaaba Jahannama inn 'azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous.
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 65 |

"إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا" Innahaa saaa'at mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa It is indeed an evil halt and an evil abode;"

"وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا" Wallazeena izaaa anfaqoo lam yusrifoo wa lam yaqturoo wa kaana baina zaalika qawaamaa Who are neither prodigal nor miserly in their spending but follow a middle path;
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 67 |

"وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا" Wallazeena laa yad'oona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoon; wa mai yaf'al zaalika yalqa asaamaa Who do not invoke any god apart from God, who do not take a life which God has forbidden except for a cause that is just, and do not fornicate -- and any one who does so will be punished for the crime,

"يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا" Yudaa'af lahul 'azaabu Yawmal Qiyaamati wa yakhlud feehee muhaanaa Whose punishment will be doubled on the Day of Judgement, and he will live for ever in disgrace,
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 69 |

"إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا" Illaa man taaba wa 'aamana wa 'amila 'amalan saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yubad dilul laahu saiyi aatihim hasanaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa Except those who repent and come to believe and do the right, for whom God will turn evil into goodness, for God is forgiving and kind.

"وَمَنْ تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا" Wa man taaba wa 'amila saalihan fa innnahoo yatoobu ilal laahi mataabaa Whosoever repents and does the right, will have turned back to God by way of repentance;
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 71 |

"وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا" Wallazeena laa yash hadoonaz zoora wa izaa marroo billaghwi marroo kiraamaa And those who do not give false evidence, and if they come across unbecoming talk ignore it and pass by in a sedate way;
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 72 |

"وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا" Wallazeena izaa zukkiroo bi Aayaati Rabbihim lam yakhirroo 'alaihaa summanw wa'umyaanaa Who, when reminded of their Lord?s revelations, do not fall for them like the deaf and blind;
Surah Number : 25 , Ayat Number : 73 |

"وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا" Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a'yuninw waj 'alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path."

"أُولَٰئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا" Ulaaa'ika yujzawnal ghurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yulaqqawna feehaa tahiyyatanw wa salaamaa They will be rewarded for their perseverance with lofty mansions in empyrean where they will be received with greetings of peace and salutations,

"خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا" Khaalideena feehaa; hasunat mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode!

"قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا" Qul maa ya'ba'u bikum Rabbee law laa du'aaa'ukum faqad kazzabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaamaa (section 6) Say: "My Lord is not concerned on your account if you do not pray to Him. You have surely done with denying; soon will come the inevitable judgement.

"تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ" Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Mubeen These are the verses of the perspicuous Book.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 2 |

"لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ" La'allaka baakhi'un nafsaka allaa yakoonoo mu'mineen You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 3 |

"إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ" In nashaa nunazzil 'alaihim minas samaaa'i Aayatan fazallat a'naaquhum lahaa khaadi'een We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed.

"وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ" Wa maa yaateehim min zikrim minar Rahmaani muhdasin illaa kaanoo 'anhu mu'rideen Never does a new reminder come to them from Ar-Rahman but they turn away from it.

"فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ" Faqad kazzaboo fasa yaateehim ambaaa'u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 6 |

"أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ" Awa lam yaraw ilal ardi kam ambatnaa feehaa min kulli zawjin kareem Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 7 |

"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inn fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe.

"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 1) Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 9 |

"وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ" Wa iz naadaa Rabbuka Moosaaa ani'-til qawmaz zaalimeen When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 10 |

"قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ" Qawma Fir'awn; alaa yattaqoon The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 11 |
|
"قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ" Qaala Rabbi inneee akhaafu ai yukazziboon : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 12 |
|
"وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَارُونَ" Wa yadeequ sadree wa laa yantaliqu lisaanee fa arsil ilaa Haaroon My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 13 |

"وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ" Wa lahum 'alaiya zambun fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 14 |

"قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ" Qaala kallaa fazhabaa bi Aayaatinaaa innaa ma'akum mustami'oon (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 15 |

"فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Faatiyaa Fir'awna faqoolaaa innaa Rasoolu Rabbil 'aalameen Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: ?We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 16 |

"أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ" An arsil ma'anaa Baneee Israaa'eel That you should send the children of Israel with us.?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 17 |
|
"قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ" Qaala alam nurabbika feenaa waleedanw wa labista feenaa min 'umurika sineen (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 18 |

"وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ" Wa fa'alta fa'latakal latee fa'alta wa anta minal kaafireen And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 19 |

"قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ" Qaala fa'altuhaaa izanw wa ana minad daaaleen (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 20 |
|
"فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" Fafarartu minkum lam maa khiftukum fawahaba lee Rabbee hukmanw wa ja'alanee minal mursaleen So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 21 |

"وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ" Wa tilka ni'matun tamun nuhaa 'alaiya an 'abbatta Baneee Israaa'eel But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 22 |

"قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Qaala Fir'awnu wa maa Rabbul 'aalameen The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 23 |
|
"قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ" Qaala Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa in kuntum mooqineen (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 24 |

"قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ" Qaala liman hawlahooo alaa tastami'oon (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 25 |
|
"قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ" Qaala Rabbukum wa Rabbu aabaaa'ikumul awwaleen (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 26 |

"قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ" Qaala inna Rasoolakumul lazee ursila ilaikum lamajnoon (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 27 |

"قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ" Qaala Rabbul mashriqi wal maghribi wa maa baina humaa in kuntum ta'qiloon (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 28 |

"قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ" Qaala la'init takhazta ilaahan ghairee la aj'alannaka minal masjooneen (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 29 |

"قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ" Qaala awalaw ji'tuka bishai'im mubeen (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 30 |
|
"قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ" Qaala faati biheee in kunta minas saadiqeen (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 31 |
|
"فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ" Fa alqaa 'asaahu fa izaaa hiya su'baanum mubeen So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 32 |

"وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ" Wa naza'a yadahoo faizaa hiya baidaaa'u linnaa zireen (section 2) And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 33 |

"قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ" Qaala lilmala-i hawlahooo inna haazaa lasaahirun 'aleem The Pharaoh said to the chiefs around him: "He is certainly a clever magician.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 34 |

"يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ" Yureedu ai yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihee famaazaa taamuroon He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic. So, what do you bid?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 35 |
|
"قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ" Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wab'as filmadaaa'ini haashireen They said: "Put him and his brother off awhile, and send summoners to the cities to gather
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 36 |
|
"يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ" Yaatooka bikulli sah haarin 'aleem And bring the ablest magicians to you."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 37 |
|
"فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ" Fa jumi'as saharatu limeeqaati Yawmim ma'loom So the magicians were assembled at a stated time and place on an appointed day.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 38 |

"وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُجْتَمِعُونَ" Wa qeela linnaasi hal antum mujtami'oon And the people were also asked to assemble.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 39 |

"لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ" La'allanaa nattabi'us saharata in kaanoo humul ghaalibeen (They said): "We may haply follow the magicians if they are victorious."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 40 |

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ" Falammaa jaaa'as saharatu qaaloo li Fir'awna a'inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen When the magicians arrived, they said to the Pharaoh: "Is there a reward for us if we are victorious?" --
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 41 |

"قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ" Qaala na'am wa innakum izal laminal muqarrabeen "Yes," he replied. "You ?will be among the honoured."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 42 |

"قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ" Qaala lahum Moosaaa alqoo maaa antum mulqoon Moses said to them: "Cast what you have to cast."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 43 |

"فَأَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغَالِبُونَ" Fa alqaw hibaalahum wa 'isiyyahum wa qaaloo bi'izzati Fir'awna innaa lanahnul ghaaliboon So they cast their ropes and rods, and said: "By the glory of Pharaoh, we shall be victorious."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 44 |

"فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ" Fa alqaa Moosaa 'asaahu fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon Then Moses threw down his staff, and lo, it swallowed up their conjurations.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 45 |

"فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ" Fa ulqiyas saharatu saajideen Then the magicians fell prostrating in adoration,

"قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Qaalooo aamannaa bi Rabbil 'aalameen And said: "We (affirm and) believe in the Lord of all the worlds,

"رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ" Rabbi Moosaa wa Haaroon The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 48 |
|
"قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ" Qaala aamantum lahoo qabla an aazana lakum innahoo lakabeerukumul lazee 'alla makumus sihra falasawfa ta'lamoon; la uqatti'anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafinw wa la usallibanna kum ajma'een Said (the Pharaoh): "You have come to believe in him before I gave you leave. He is surely your chief, who taught you magic. You will soon come to know: I will have your hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, and have every one of you crucified."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 49 |

"قَالُوا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ" Qaaloo la daira innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqalliboon They said: "There will be no harm. We shall return to our Lord.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 50 |

"إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Innaa natma'u ai yaghfira lanaa Rabbunna khataa yaanaaa an kunnaaa awwalal mu'mineen (section 3) We certainly hope our Lord will forgive our sins as we are the first to believe."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 51 |

"۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ" Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi'ibaadeee innakum muttaba'oon We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 52 |

"فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ" Fa arsala Fir'awnu filmadaaa'ini haashireen Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 53 |
|
"إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ" Inna haaa'ulaaa'i lashir zimatun qaleeloon (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives).
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 54 |

"وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ" Wa innahum lanaa laghaaa'izoon They are always harassing us.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 55 |
|
"وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ" Wa innaa lajamee'un haaziroon But we are a fully accounted army."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 56 |
|
"فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُمْ مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ" Fa akhrajnaahum min Jannaatinw wa 'uyoon So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 57 |
|
"وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ" Wa kunoozinw wa ma qaamin kareem And treasures and agreeable mansions.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 58 |

"كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ" Kazaalika wa awrasnaahaa Baneee Israaa'eel Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 59 |

"فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِقِينَ" Fa atba'oohum mushriqeen But they pursued them at sunrise.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 60 |

"فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ" Falammaa taraaa'al jam'aani qaala as haabu Moosaaa innaa lamudrakoon When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 61 |

"قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ" Qaala kallaaa inna ma'iya Rabbee sa yahdeen Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 62 |

"فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ" Fa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa anidrib bi'asaakal bahra fanfalaqa fakaana kullu firqin kattawdil 'azeem We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 63 |

"وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ" Wa azlafnaa sammal aakhareen Then We brought the others to that place.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 64 |
|
"وَأَنْجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ" Wa anjainaa Moosaa wa mam ma'ahooo ajma'een We delivered Moses and every one with him,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 65 |
|
"ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ" Summa aghraqnal aakhareen And We drowned the others.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 66 |
|
"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaru hu mu'mineen Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 67 |

"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 4) Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 68 |
|
"وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ" Watlu 'alaihim naba-a Ibraaheem Relate the news of Abraham to them.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 69 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ" Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maa ta'budoon When he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 70 |
|
"قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ" Qaaloo na'budu asnaaman fanazallu lahaa 'aakifeen They replied: "We worship idols and are devoted to them."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 71 |

"قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ" Qaala hal yasma'oona kum iz tad'oon (Abraham) asked: "Do they hear when you call them?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 72 |
|
"أَوْ يَنْفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ" Aw yanfa'oonakum aw yadurroon Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 73 |
|
"قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ" Qaaloo bal wajadnaaa aabaaa 'anaa kazaalika yaf'aloon They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 74 |

"قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ" Qaala afara 'aitum maa kuntum ta'budoon He said: "Have you considered what you have been worshipping,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 75 |
|
"أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ" Antum wa aabaaa'ukumul aqdamoon You and your fathers?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 76 |
|
"فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Fa innahum 'aduwwwul leee illaa Rabbal 'aalameen Yet they are my enemies except the Lord of all the worlds
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 77 |

"الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ" Allazee khalaqanee fa Huwa yahdeen Who created me and showed me the way,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 78 |
|
"وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ" Wallazee Huwa yut'imunee wa yasqeen Who gives me food and drink,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 79 |
|
"وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ" Wa izaa mardtu fahuwa yashfeen And heals me when I am sick,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 80 |
|
"وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ" Wallazee yumeetunee summa yuhyeen Who will make me die, then give me life again,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 81 |
|
"وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ" Wallazeee atma'u ai yaghfira lee khateee' atee Yawmad Deen And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 82 |

"رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ" Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee bis saaliheen O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 83 |
|
"وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ" Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen And uphold my name with posterity,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 84 |
|
"وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ" Waj'alnee minw warasati Jannnatin Na'eem And put me among the inheritors of Paradise.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 85 |
|
"وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ" Waghfir li abeee innahoo kaana mind daalleen Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 86 |
|
"وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ" Wa laa tukhzinee Yawma yub'asoon And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 87 |
|
"يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ" Yawma laa yanfa'u maalunw wa laa banoon The day when neither wealth nor children will be of any avail
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 88 |
|
"إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ" Illaa man atal laaha biqalbin saleem But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 89 |
|
"وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ" Wa uzlifatil Jannatu lilmuttaqeen Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 90 |
|
"وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ" Wa burrizatil Jaheemu lilghaaween And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 91 |
|
"وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ" Wa qeela lahum aina maa kuntum ta'budoon They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 92 |
|
"مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ" Min doonil laahi hal yansuroonakum aw yantasiroon Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 93 |
|
"فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ" Fakubkiboo feehaa hum walghaawoon They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 94 |
|
"وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ" Wa junoodu Ibleesa ajma'oon Together with the hordes of Iblis.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 95 |
|
"قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ" Qaaloo wa hum feehaa yakkhtasimoon Disputing among themselves they will say:
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 96 |
|
"تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ" Tallaahi in kunnaa lafee dalaalim mubeen "By God, we were plainly in error
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 97 |
|
"إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Iz nusawweekum bi Rabbil 'aalameen In equating you with the Lord of all the worlds;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 98 |
|
"وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ" Wa maaa adallanaaa illal mujrimoon No one but the sinners led us astray.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 99 |
|
"فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ" Famaa lanaa min shaa fi'een Now we have none to intercede for us,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 100 |
|
"وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ" Wa laa sadeeqin hameem Nor any sincere friend.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 101 |
|
"فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Falaw anna lanaa karratan fanakoona minal mu'mineen If only we could return and be among the believers!"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 102 |
|
"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inna fee zaalika la Aayatanw wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 103 |
|
"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 5) Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 104 |
|
"كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" Kazzabat qawmu Noohinil Mursaleen The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 105 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ" Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Noohun alaa tattaqoon When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 106 |
|
"إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ" Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 107 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqullaaha wa atee'oon So be fearful of God and listen to me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 108 |
|
"وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 109 |

"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So fear God and follow me."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 110 |
|
"۞ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ" Qaalooo anu'minu laka wattaba 'akal arzaloon They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 111 |

"قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ" Qaala wa maa 'ilmee bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 112 |
|
"إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ" In hisaabuhum illaa 'alaa Rabbee law tash'uroon It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 113 |
|
"وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Wa maaa ana bitaaridil mu'mineen I am certainly not one to drive away the believers.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 114 |
|
"إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ" In ana illaa nazeerum mubeen I am only a plain admonisher."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 115 |
|
"قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ" Qaaloo la'il lam tantahi yaa Noohu latakoonanna minal marjoomeen They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 116 |
|
"قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ" Qaala Rabbi inna qawmee kazzaboon He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 117 |
|
"فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Faftab bainee wa bai nahum fat hanw wa najjinee wa mam ma'iya minal mu'mineen So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 118 |

"فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ" Fa anjainaahu wa mamma'ahoo fil fulkil mashhoon So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 119 |
|
"ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ" Summa aghraqnaa ba'dul baaqeen And drowned the rest of them.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 120 |
|
"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَة…َكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 121 |

"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 6) But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 122 |
|
"كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" Kazzabat 'Aadunil mursaleen The people of ?Ad accused the messengers of lies.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 123 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ" Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Hoodun alaa tattaqoon When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not take heed?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 124 |

"إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ" Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 125 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqullaaha wa atee'oon So fear God and listen to me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 126 |
|
"وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa maa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 127 |

"أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ" Atabnoona bikulli ree'in aayatan ta'basoon You construct monuments on every hill in vain,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 128 |
|
"وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ" Wa tattakhizoona masaani'a la'allakum takhludoon Erect palaces (thinking) that you will live for ever,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 129 |
|
"وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ" Wa izaa batashtum batashtum jabbaareen And whenever you apply force become tyrannical.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 130 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So be fearful of God and follow me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 131 |
|
"وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ" Wattaqul lazeee amad dakum bimaa ta'lamoon Fear Him who has bestowed on you what you know,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 132 |
|
"أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ" Amaddakum bi an'aa minw wa baneen Gave you increase of cattle and sons,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 133 |
|
"وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ" Wa jannaatinw wa 'uyoon And orchards and springs.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 134 |
|
"إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ" Innee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmin 'azeem I fear the punishment of a terrible day for you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 135 |
|
"قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ" Qaaloo sawaaa'un 'alainaaa awa 'azta am lam takum minal waa'izeen They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 136 |
|
"إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ" In haazaaa illaa khuluqul awwaleen This is just a habit of antiquated people.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 137 |
|
"وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ" Wa maa nahnu bimu 'azzabeen We are not going to be damned."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 138 |
|
"فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Fakazzaboohu fa ahlaknaahum; inna fee zaalika la aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 139 |
|
"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 7) Yet surely your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 140 |
|
"كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" Kazzabat Samoodul mursaleen The Thamud accused the messengers of lies.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 141 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ" Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Saalihun alaa tattaqoon When their brother Saleh said to them: "Will you not take heed?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 142 |

"إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ" Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 143 |

"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So fear God and follow me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 144 |
|
"وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen I do not ask any recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 145 |

"أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ" Atutrakoona fee maa haahunnaaa aamineen (Do you think) you will be left secure here
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 146 |
|
"فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ" Fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon In these gardens and these springs,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 147 |
|
"وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ" Wa zuroo inw wa nakhlin tal 'uhaa hadeem The fields of corn and date-palm trees with soft and tender spathes,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 148 |
|
"وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ" Wa tanhitoona minal jibaali buyootan faariheen And dwellings hewed out of mountains ingeniously?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 149 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So be mindful of God and listen to me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 150 |

"وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ" Wa laa tutee'ooo amral musrifeen Do not follow those who are extravagant,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 151 |
|
"الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ" Allazeena yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon Who corrupt the land and do not reform it."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 152 |
|
"قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ" Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen They said: "Surely you are deluded.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 153 |
|
"مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ" Maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa faati bi Aayatin in kunta minas saadiqeen You are nothing but a man like us. Bring us a token if you speak the truth."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 154 |
|
"قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ" Qaala haazihee naaqatul lahaa shirbunw walakum shirbu yawmim ma'loom (Saleh) said: "Here is a she-camel. She has a right of drinking water, and you have a right of drinking it on appointed turns.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 155 |
|
"وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ" Wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo'in fa yaakhuzakum 'azaabu Yawmin 'Azeem Do not treat her unkindly or the punishment of a grievous day will fall on you."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 156 |
|
"فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ" Fa'aqaroohaa fa asbahoo naadimeen But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 157 |
|
"فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Fa akhazahumul 'azaab; inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 158 |
|
"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 8) Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 159 |
|
"كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" kazzabat qawmu Lootinil mursaleen The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 160 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ" Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Lootun alaa tattaqoon When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 161 |
|
"إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ" Innee lakum rasoolun ameen I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 162 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So fear God and listen to me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 163 |
|
"وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 164 |
|
"أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ" Ataatoonaz zukraana minal 'aalameen Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 165 |
|
"وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ" Wa tazaroona maa khalaqa lakum Rabbukum min azwaajikum; bal antum qawmun 'aadoon Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 166 |
|
"قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ" Qaloo la'il lam tantahi yaa Lootu latakoonanna minal mukhrajeen They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 167 |
|
"قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالِينَ" Qaala innee li'amalikum minal qaaleen (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions,"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 168 |
|
"رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ" Rabbi najjjinee wa ahlee mimmmaa ya'maloon (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 169 |
|
"فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ" Fanajjainaahu wa ahlahooo ajma'een So We saved him and his whole family
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 170 |
|
"إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ" Illaa 'ajoozan filghaabireen Except one old woman who remained behind.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 171 |
|
"ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ" Summa dammarnal aa khareen Then We destroyed the rest of them,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 172 |
|
"وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ" Wa amtarnaa 'alaihim mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned!
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 173 |
|
"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 174 |
|
"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (section 9) Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 175 |
|
"كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ" Kazzaba As haabul Aykatil mursaleen The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 176 |
|
"إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ" Iz qaala lahum Shu'aybun alaa tattaqoon When Shu?aib said to them: "Will you not take heed?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 177 |
|
"إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ" Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 178 |
|
"فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ" Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon So fear God and follow me.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 179 |
|
"وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 180 |

"۞ أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ" Awful kaila wa laa takoonoo minal mukhsireen Give full measure and do not cheat;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 181 |
|
"وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ" Wa zinoo bilqistaasil mustaqeem Weigh on an even balance.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 182 |
|
"وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ" Wa laa tabkhasun naasa ashyaaa 'ahum wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 183 |
|
"وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ" Wattaqul lazee khalaqakum waljibillatal awwaleen And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 184 |
|
"قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ" Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen They said: "Surely you are deluded.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 185 |
|
"وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ" Wa maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa wa innazunnuka laminal kaazibeen You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 186 |
|
"فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ" Fa asqit 'alainaa kisafam minas samaaa'i in kunta minas saadiqeen But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 187 |
|
"قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ" Qaala Rabbeee a'lamu bimaa ta'maloon (Shu?aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 188 |
|
"فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ" Fakazzaboohu fa akhazahum 'azaabu Yawmiz zullah; innahoo kaana 'azaaba Yawmin 'Azeem But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day!
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 189 |
|
"إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 190 |
|
"وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ" Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem (secion 10) Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 191 |
|
"وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Wa innahoo latanzeelu Rabbil 'aalameen And this (Qur?an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 192 |
|
"نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ" Nazala bihir Roohul Ameen Which the trusted spirit descended with
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 193 |
|
"عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ" Alaa qalbika litakoona minal munzireen To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 194 |
|
"بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ" Bilisaanin 'Arabiyyim mubeen In eloquent Arabic.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 195 |
|
"وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ" Wa innahoo lafee Zuburil awwaleen This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 196 |
|
"أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ" Awalam yakul lahum Aayatan ai ya'lamahoo 'ulamaaa'u Baneee Israaa'eel Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 197 |
|
"وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ" Wa law nazzalnaahu 'alaa ba'dil a'jameen Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 198 |
|
"فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ" Faqara ahoo 'alaihim maa kaanoo bihee mu'mineen And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different).
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 199 |
|
"كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ" Kazaalika salaknaahu fee quloobil mujrimeen Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 200 |
|
"لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ" Laa yu'minoona bihee hattaa yarawul 'azaabal aleem They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 201 |
|
"فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ" Fayaatiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 202 |
|
"فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُونَ" Fa yaqooloo hal nahnu munzaroon Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?"
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 203 |
|
"أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ" Aafabi 'azaabinaa yasta'jiloon Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 204 |
|
"أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ" Aara'aita im matta'naahum sineen Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 205 |
|
"ثُمَّ جَاءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ" Summa jaaa'ahum maa kaanoo yoo'adoon And then what they were promised comes upon them,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 206 |
|
"مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ" Maaa aghnaaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yumaatoo'oon Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 207 |
|
"وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُونَ" Wa maaa ahlaknaa min qaryatin illaa lahaa munziroon Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 208 |
|
"ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ" Zikraa wa maa kunnaa zaalimeen To warn. For We are never unjust.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 209 |
|
"وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ" Wa maa tanazzalat bihish Shayaateen The devils did not bring it down:
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 210 |
|
"وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ" Wa maa yambaghee lahum wa maa yastatee'oon They are not worthy of it, nor have they power.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 211 |
|
"إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ" Innahum 'anis sam'i lama'zooloon They have been precluded from hearing it.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 212 |
|
"فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ" Falaa tad'u ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara fatakoona minal mu'azzabeen So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment;
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 213 |
|
"وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ" Wa anzir 'asheeratakal aqrabeen And warn your near relations,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 214 |
|
"وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Wakhfid janaahaka limanit taba 'aka minal mu'mineen And take those believers under your wing who follow you.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 215 |
|
"فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ" Fa in asawka faqul innee bareee'um mimmmaa ta'maloon If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do."
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 216 |
|
"وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ" Wa tawakkal alal 'Azeezir Raheem Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 217 |
|
"الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ" Allazee yaraaka heena taqoom Who watches you when you get up,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 218 |
|
"وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ" Wa taqallubaka fis saajideen And your movements among those who bow in homage to God.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 219 |
|
"إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ" Innahoo Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem He is all-hearing and all-knowing.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 220 |
|
"هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ" Hal unabbi'ukum 'alaa man tanazzalush Shayaateen Should I tell you on whom the devils descend?
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 221 |
|
"تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ" Tanazzalu 'alaa kulli affaakin aseem They come down to every mendacious sinner,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 222 |
|
"يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ" Yulqoonas sam'a wa aksaruhum aaziboon Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 223 |
|
"وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ" Washshu 'araaa'u yattabi 'uhumul ghaawoon As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them.
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 224 |
|
"أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ" Alam tara annahum fee kulli waadiny yaheemoon Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 225 |
|
"وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ" Wa annahum yaqooloona ma laa yaf'aloon And they say what they do not do,
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 226 |
|
"إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَانْتَصَرُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ" Illal lazeena aamanoo w a'amilus saalihaati wa zakarul laaha kaseeranw wantasaroo mim ba'di maa zulimoo; wa saya'lamul lazeena zalamooo aiya munqalbiny yanqaliboon (section 11) Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown!
Surah Number : 26 , Ayat Number : 227 |

" طس ۚ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ وَكِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur?an, and collection of explicit laws,
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 1 |

"هُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen A guidance and good tidings for the believers,
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 2 |
|
"الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ" Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 3 |

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ" Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 4 |

"أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ" Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon They are those who will suffer the worst chastisement in this life, and will be the greatest losers in the life to come.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 5 |

"وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ" Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem You have been conveyed the Qur?an from One all-wise and all-knowing.

"إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِ إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارًا سَآتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ آتِيكُمْ بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ" Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves."

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَهَا نُودِيَ أَنْ بُورِكَ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds.

"يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّهُ أَنَا اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ" Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise.

"وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَا مُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّي لَا يَخَافُ لَدَيَّ الْمُرْسَلُونَ" Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence,
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 10 |

"إِلَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًا بَعْدَ سُوءٍ فَإِنِّي غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ" Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 11 |

"وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ ۖ فِي تِسْعِ آيَاتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ" Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen Put your hand in the bosom of your shirt; it will come out white without any blemish. This will be one of nine tokens for the Pharaoh and his people, who are a wicked lot indeed."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 12 |

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَاتُنَا مُبْصِرَةً قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ" Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum mubeen And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 13 |

"وَجَحَدُوا بِهَا وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَا أَنْفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَعُلُوًّا ۚ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ" Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen (section 1) And they denied them out of malice and pride, though in their hearts they believed that they were true. So see how was the end of evil-doers!
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 14 |

"وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عِلْمًا ۖ وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen We gave David and Solomon knowledge; and they said: "All praise be to God who has favoured us over many of His creatures who believe."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 15 |

"وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ" Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen Solomon was heir to David, and he said: "O people, we have been taught the language of Tair, and have been given of everything. This is a clear favour indeed."

"وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ جُنُودُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ وَالطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ" Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon His armies of jinns and men and Tair assembled, formed into ranks, (and marched)

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَتَوْا عَلَىٰ وَادِ النَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ وَجُنُودُهُ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ" hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon Till they reached the Valley of Naml. Said the lady of Naml: "O Naml, go into your dwellings lest Solomon and his hordes should crush you unawares."

"فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِنْ قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ" Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen (Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech, and said: "O Lord grant me that I should be grateful for the favours You have bestowed on me and my parents, and do good things of Your pleasing; and admit me among Your righteous devotees by Your grace."

"وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَا أَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَائِبِينَ" Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen When he reviewed the Tair, he said: "How is it I do not see Hud-hud? Is he absent?
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 20 |

"لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَذْبَحَنَّهُ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّي بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ" La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim mubeen I will punish him severely, or cut his throat, unless he bring a valid excuse."

"فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ" Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen But he was not long in coming, and reported: "I have been around where you have not been. I come from Saba with positive news.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 22 |

"إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ امْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ" Innee wajattum ra atan tamlikuhum wa ootiyat min kulli shai'inw wa lahaa 'arshun 'azeem I found a woman reigning over them, and she has been favoured with everything; and she has a throne that is magnificent.

"وَجَدْتُهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ" Wajattuhaa wa qawmahaa yasjudoona lishshamsi min doonil laahi wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli fahum laa yahtadoon I found that she and her people worship the sun in place of God, for Satan has made their deeds look attractive to them and has turned them away from the Path, so they do not find the way
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 24 |

"أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ" Allaa yasjudoo lillaahil lazee yukhrijul khab'a fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfoona wa maa tu'linoon To worship God who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and is cognisant of what you hide and what you disclose.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 25 |

"اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ۩" Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Azeem (make sajda) God: There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 26 |

"۞ قَالَ سَنَنْظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ" Qaala sananzuru asadaqta am kunta minal kaazibeen (Solomon) said: ?We shall see if you speak the truth or you are a liar.

"اذْهَبْ بِكِتَابِي هَٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ" Izhab bikitaabee haaza fa alqih ilaihim summma tawalla 'anhum fanzur maazaa yarji'oon Take this letter from me, and deliver it to them and withdraw, then see what reply they give in return."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 28 |

"قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ إِنِّي أُلْقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ كَرِيمٌ" Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem (The Queen said): "O nobles, a venerable letter has been delivered to me.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 29 |

"إِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ" Innahoo min Sulaimaana wa innahoo bismil laahir Rahmaanir Raheem It is from Solomon, and (says): ?In the name of Allah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 30 |

"أَلَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ" Allaa ta'loo 'alaiya waa toonee muslimeen (section 2) Do not rise against me, but come to me in submission.?

"قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ" Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aftoonee fee amree maa kuntu qaati'atan amran hattaa tashhhaddon ." Advise me, O nobles," she said "in this matter. I do not decide any thing until you concur."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 32 |

"قَالُوا نَحْنُ أُولُو قُوَّةٍ وَأُولُو بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانْظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ" Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen They said: "We are men of valour, and brave fighters. It is for you to decide. So consider what you should command."

"قَالَتْ إِنَّ الْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوا أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَا أَذِلَّةً ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ" Qaalat innal mulooka izaa dakhaloo qaryatan afsadoohaa wa ja'alooo a'izzata ahlihaaa azillah; wa kazaalika yaf'aloon She said: "Surely when kings enter a city they destroy it and despoil the honour of its nobility. So will they do (to us).
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 34 |

"وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنَاظِرَةٌ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُونَ" Wa innee mursilatun ilaihim bihadiyyatin fanaaziratum bima yarji'ul mursaloon But I will send them a gift and see what the envoys bring back (in return)."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 35 |

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍ فَمَا آتَانِيَ اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا آتَاكُمْ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ" Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataaniyal laahu khairum mimmmaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy-yatikum tafrahoon So, when the envoys came to Solomon he said: "Do you wish to increase my wealth? Yet what God has given me is better than what He has given you. No. Be gratified in your present.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 36 |

"ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُودٍ لَا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِنْهَا أَذِلَّةً وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ" Irji' ilaihim falanaatiyan nahum bijunoodil laa qibala lahum bihaa wa lanukhri jannahum minhaaa azillatanw wa hum saaghiroon Go back to them. We shall soon come with our armies which they will not be able to face. We shall drive them out of (the land) with ignominy, and they will be humbled."

"قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ" Qaala yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aiyukum yaateenee bi'arshihaa qabla ai yaatoonee muslimeen He (then) said (to his courtiers): "O you nobles, is there any one who can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 38 |

"قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَقَامِكَ ۖ وَإِنِّي عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ أَمِينٌ" Qaala 'ifreetum minal jinni ana aateeka bihee qabla an taqooma mim maqaamika wa innee 'alaihi laqawiyyun ameen A crafty jinn said: "I will bring it before you rise from your seat, for I am strong and trustworthy."

"قَالَ الَّذِي عِنْدَهُ عِلْمٌ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِنْدَهُ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّي لِيَبْلُوَنِي أَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ ۖ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي غَنِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ" Qaalal lazee indahoo 'ilmum minal Kitaabi ana aateeka bihee qabla ai yartadda ilaika tarfuk; falammaa ra aahu mustaqirran 'indahoo qaala haazaa min fadli Rabbee li yabluwaneee 'a-ashkuru am akfuru wa man shakara fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa inna Rabbee Ghaniyyun Kareem But one who had knowledge of the letter, said: "I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye." When Solomon saw it before him, (he said): "This is by the grace of my Lord that He may test me whether I am grateful or I am thankless. Yet if one is grateful, he is grateful for himself, and if one is thankless, then surely my Lord is unconcerned and magnanimous."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 40 |

"قَالَ نَكِّرُوا لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنْظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِي أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ" Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon (Turning to his nobles) he said: "Change the appearance of her throne. Let us see if she is rightly guided, or is not guided at all."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 41 |

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ" Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen When she arrived, they asked her: "Is your throne like this?" She said: "As though this is it. We had come to have knowledge and already submitted."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 42 |

"وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَعْبُدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كَافِرِينَ" Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen She was (in fact) turned away by what she worshipped other than God, for she came of an unbelieving people.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 43 |

"قِيلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُ صَرْحٌ مُمَرَّدٌ مِنْ قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen (section 3) She was invited to enter the court. When she saw it, she took it for a sheet of water, and (pulling up her skirts) uncovered her legs. (Solomon) told her: "This is paved with tiles of glass." "O Lord," she said, "I have wronged myself, and I submit to the Lord of all the worlds with Solomon."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 44 |

"وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ" Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samooda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon We sent to Thamud their brother Saleh (who said): "Worship God." But they were divided into two groups disputing with one another.

"قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ" Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon (Saleh) said: "O people, why do you wish to hasten evil rather than good? Why not ask for God?s forgiveness? You may well be forgiven."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 46 |

"قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَنْ مَعَكَ ۚ قَالَ طَائِرُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ" Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon They said: "You betoken evil, and those with you." (Saleh) replied: "The evil you presage can only come from God. In reality you are a people under trial (for your own inauspiciousness)."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 47 |

"وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ" Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon There were in that city nine persons who spread disorder in the land, and did not reform.

"قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ" Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon They said: "Let us swear by God that we will attack Saleh and his family at night, and later tell his heirs: ?We did not see his family destroyed, and we speak the truth.?"

"وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ" Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon They hatched up the plot; We also planned without their knowledge.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 50 |

"فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَاهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ" Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een Now see the end of their machinations: We destroyed them and their entire people.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 51 |

"فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً بِمَا ظَلَمُوا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ" Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon So these their habitations lie deserted now because of their iniquities. Verily there is a sign in this for those who understand.

"وَأَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ" Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon We deliver those who believe and take heed for themselves.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 53 |

"وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ" Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon (Remember) Lot, when he said to his people: "Why do you indulge in obscenities when you know (it is evil)?
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 54 |

"أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسَاءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ" A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon (End Juz 19) You lust after men in place of women. You are indeed a stolid people."
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 55 |

"۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوا آلَ لُوطٍ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ" Famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akhrijooo aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon His people had no answer except saying: "Expel the family of Lot from your city. They are a people who would (rather) be pure!"
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 56 |

"فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَاهَا مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ" Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen So We saved him and his family except his wife who was destined to stay behind.
Surah Number : 27 , Ayat Number : 57 |

"وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ" Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen (section 4) And We rained down on them a shower (of stones). How ruinous was the rain that fell on those who had been warned (but warned in vain)!

"قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَىٰ ۗ آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ" Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon Say: "All praise be to God, and peace on those of His creatures whom He has chosen." Is God better or those they associate with Him --
