"۞ إِلَيْهِ يُرَدُّ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ ۚ وَمَا تَخْرُجُ مِنْ ثَمَرَاتٍ مِنْ أَكْمَامِهَا وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنْثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِي قَالُوا آذَنَّاكَ مَا مِنَّا مِنْ شَهِيدٍ"

Ilaihi yuraddu 'ilmus Saaa'ah; wa maa takhruju min samaraatim min akmaamihaa wa maa tahmilu min unsaa wa laa tada'u illaa bi'ilmih; wa Yawma yunaadeehim aina shurakaaa'ee qaalooo aazannaaka maa minnaa min shaheed

He alone has knowledge of the Hour (of change): No fruit comes Out of its spathe, no female conceives or gives birth, but He has knowledge of it. The day He will call them (and ask): "Where are the compeers (you ascribed to Me)?" They will answer: "We profess to You not one of us can vouch for them."

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَظَنُّوا مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ"

Wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yad'oona min qablu wa zannoo maa lahum mim mahees

And those they used to worship will leave them in the lurch, and they will realise there is no escape for them.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 48

"لَا يَسْأَمُ الْإِنْسَانُ مِنْ دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ"

Laa yas'amul insaanu min du'aaa'il khairi wa im massa hush sharru fa ya'oosun qanoot

Man never tires of praying for good; but if evil assails him he begins to despair.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 49

"وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِنَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَٰذَا لِي وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَةً وَلَئِنْ رُجِعْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي إِنَّ لِي عِنْدَهُ لَلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ"

Wa la in azaqnaahu rahmatam minnaa mim ba'di dar raaa'a massat hu la yaqoolanna haazaa lee wa maaa azunnus Saa'ata qaaa'imatanw wa la'in ruji'tu ilaa Rabbeee inna lee 'indahoo lalhusnaa; falanu nabbi'annal lazeena kafaroo bimaa 'amiloo wa lanuzeeqan nahum min 'azaabin ghaleez

If We give him a taste of Our favour after some distress he has known, he says: "It was my due. I cannot imagine the Hour will come. And even if I go back to my Lord, there will surely still be the best for me with Him." We shall tell those who do not believe what they used to do, and inflict on them a heavy punishment.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَىٰ بِجَانِبِهِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَاءٍ عَرِيضٍ"

Wa izaaa an'amnaa 'alal insaani a'rada wa na-aa bijaani bihee wa izaa massahush sharru fazoo du'aaa'in 'areed

When We show Our favours to man he moves away and turns aside; but when in trouble he prays a great deal.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 51

"قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ كَفَرْتُمْ بِهِ مَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ هُوَ فِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ"

Qul araaitum in kaana min 'indil laahi summa kafar tum bihee man adallu mimman huwa fee shiqaqim ba'eed

Say: "Just think. If this is from God and you deny it, who will be in greater error than he who is in open dissent?"

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 52

"سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ ۗ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ"

Sanureehim Aayaatinaa fil aafaaqi wa feee anfusihim hattaa yatabaiyana lahum annahul haqq; awa lam yakfi bi Rabbika annahoo 'alaa kulli shai-in Shaheed

We will show Our signs to them in the horizons of the external world and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that it?s the truth. Is your Lord not sufficient? He is a witness over all things.

Surah Number : 41 , Ayat Number : 53

"أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُحِيطٌ"

Alaaa innahum fee miryatim mil liqaaa'i Rabbihim; alaaa innahoo bikulli shai'im muheet (section 6)

In truth they are in doubt that they will ever face their Lord. Do they not know that He surrounds all things?

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 2

"كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِي إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ"

Kazaalika yooheee ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablikal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem

So has God, all-mighty and all-wise, been revealing to you and to others before you.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 3

"لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ"

Lahoo maa fis samaa waati wa maa fil ardi wa Huwal 'Aliyul 'Azeem

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, belongs to Him. He is all-high and supreme.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 4

"تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ ۚ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ"

Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna min fawqihinn; walmalaaa'ikatu yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa yastaghfiroona liman fil ard; alaaa innal laaha huwal Ghafoorur Raheem

The skies are near to bursting asunder above them (for awe of Him), and the angels sing the praises of their Lord, imploring forgiveness for the dwellers of the earth. Is it not that God is forgiving and merciful?

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ"

Wallazeenat takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'al laahu hafeezun 'alaihim wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel

Those who have taken protectors other than Him, are watched over by God. It is not for you to be their guardian.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ الْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ"

Wa kazaalika awhainaaa llaika Qur-aanan 'Arabiyyal litunzir aUmmal Quraa wa man hawlahaa wa tunzira Yawmal Jam'ilaa raiba feeh; fareequn fil jannati wa fareequn fissa'eer

We have, therefore, revealed to you the eloquent Qur?an that you may warn the people of the Metropolis, and those who live around it, of the Day of Gathering, of which there is no doubt, (when mankind would be assembled) some in Heaven, some in Hell.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِنْ يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمُونَ مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ"

Wa law shaaa'al laahu laja'alahum ummatanw waahi datanw walaakiny yudkhilumany yashaaa'u fee rahmatih; waz zaalimoona maa lahum minw waliyyinw wa laa naseer

If God had pleased He would have made them one community of belief; but He admits whom He please to His grace; yet the sinners have neither friend nor helper.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 8

"أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ فَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ"

Amit takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'a fallaahu Huwal Waliyyu wa Huwa yuhyil mawtaa wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer (section 1)

Have they taken others beside Him as protectors? It is God who protects; it is He who gives life to the dead, for He has power over everything.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَمَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ"

Wa makh-talaftum feehi min shai'in fahukmuhooo ilallaah; zaalikumul laahu Rabbee 'alaihi tawakkaltu wa ilaihi uneeb

In whatever matter you disagree the ultimate judgement rests with God. This is God, my Lord; in Him have I placed my trust, if to Him I turn.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ"

Faatirus samaawaati wal ard; ja'ala lakum min anfusikum azwaajanw wa minal an'aami azwaajai yazra'ukum feeh; laisa kamislihee shai'unw wa Huwas Samee'ul Baseer

Originator of the heavens and the earth, He has made your consorts from among you, and made pairs of cattle. He multiplies you in this way. There is no other like Him. He is all-hearing and all-seeing.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 11

"لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ"

Lahoo maqaaleedus samaawaati wal ardi yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; innahoo bikulli shai'in 'Aleem

He holds the keys of the heavens and the earth. He increases or decreases the provision of any one He will. He has knowledge of everything.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 12

"۞ شَرَعَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِ نُوحًا وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ ۖ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا الدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا فِيهِ ۚ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۚ اللَّهُ يَجْتَبِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُنِيبُ"

Shara'a lakum minad deeni maa wassaa bihee Noohanw wallazeee awhainaaa ilaika wa maa wassainaa biheee Ibraaheema wa Moosa wa 'Eesaaa an aqeemud adeena wa laa tatafarraqoo feeh; kabura 'alal mushrikeena maa tad'oohum ilaih; Allaahu yajtabee ilaihi mai yashaaa'u wa yahdeee ilaihi mai yuneeb

He has laid down for you the (same) way of life and belief which He had commended to Noah, and which We have enjoined on you, and which We had bequeathed to Abraham, Moses and Jesus, so that they should maintain the order and not be divided among themselves. Heavy is to idolaters what you invite them to. God chooses whom He please for Himself, and guides to Himself whoever turns to Him.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ"

Wa maa tafarraqooo illaa mim ba'di maa jaaa'ahumul 'ilmu baghyam bainahum; wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika ilaaa ajalim musammal laqudiya bainahum; wa innal lazeena oorisul Kitaaba mim ba'dihim lafee shakkim minhu mureeb

Yet they did not differ about it until knowledge came to them, through rivalries among themselves. If the Word of your Lord, (staying) it for a time ordained, had not preceded it, the matter would have been settled among them. But those who came to inherit the Book after them are also in doubt and disturbed about it.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 14

"فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ ۖ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَقُلْ آمَنْتُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ كِتَابٍ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ ۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ"

Falizaalika fad'u wastaqim kamaaa umirta wa laa tattabi' ahwaaa'ahum wa qul aamantu bimaaa anzalal laahu min Kitaab, wa umirtu li a'dila bainakum Allaahu Rabbunaa wa Rabbukum lanaaa a'maa lunaa wa lakum a'maalukum laa hujjata bainanaa wa baina kumul laahu yajma'u bainanaa wa ilaihil maseer

Yet to that (law) you should call them, and be constant as commanded. Do not follow their passing whims, but say: "I believe in whatever Scripture God has revealed, and I am commanded to act with equivalence among you. God is our Lord and your Lord. To us our actions, to you your deeds. There is no dispute between you and us. God will gather us all together, and to Him is our returning."

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ …َلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ"

Wallazeena yuhaaajjoona fil laahi mim ba'di mastujeeba lahoo hujjatuhum daahidatun 'inda Rabbihim wa 'alaihim ghadabunw wa lahum 'azaabun shadeed

As for those who argue in the matter of God after He has been fully acknowledged, their disputing has no force with their Lord. Upon them is (God?s) anger, and the punishment for them will be severe.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 16

"اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمِيزَانَ ۗ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌ"

Allahul lazeee anzalal Kitaaba bilhaqqi wal Meezaan; wa ma yudreeka la'allas Saa'ata qareeb

It is God who has sent down the Book with the truth, and the Balance. How do you know the Hour is not near?

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 17

"يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ"

Yasta'jilu bihal lazeena laa yu'minoona bihaa wallazeena aamanoo mushfiqoona minhaa wa ya'lamoona annahal haqq; alaaa innal lazeena yumaaroona fis Saa'ati lafee dalaalim ba'eed

Only they who do not believe in it wish to hasten it; but those who believe are in fear of it, for they know it to be true. Surely those who are in doubt about the Hour are wandering far astray.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 18

"اللَّهُ لَطِيفٌ بِعِبَادِهِ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ"

Allahu lateefum bi'ibaadihee yarzuqu mai yashaaa'u wa Huwal Qawiyyul 'Azeez (Section 2)

God is gracious to His creatures, and bestows favours on whosoever He will. He is all-powerful and all-mighty.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 19

"مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ نَصِيبٍ"

Man kaana yureedu harsal Aakhirati nazid lahoo fee harsihee wa man kaana yureedu harsad dunyaa nu'tihee minhaa wa maa lahoo fil Aakhirati min naseeb

Whoever desires the fruits of the Hereafter, We shall add to his fruit. As for him who desires the fruits of this world, We shall give to him of these, but he will have no share in the Hereafter.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 20

"أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنْ بِهِ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ"

Am lahum shurakaaa'u shara'oo lahum minad deeni maa lam yaazam bihil laah; wa law laa kalimatul fasli laqudiya bainahum; wa innaz zaalimeena lahum 'azaabun aleem

Have they other associates who have prescribed another law for them which has not been dispensed by God? But for the decisive Word (of God) a sentence would have been passed amongst them. Surely there is a grievous punishment for the ungodly.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 21

"تَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي رَوْضَاتِ الْجَنَّاتِ ۖ لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ"

Taraz zaalimeena mushfiqeena mimmaa kasaboo wa huwa waaqi'um bihim; wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fee rawdaatil jannaati lahum maa yashaaa'oona 'inda Rabbihim; zaalika huwal fadlul kabeer

You will see the evil-doers full of fear of what they deserve, yet it will come to pass. But those who believe and do the right will be in gardens of Paradise. They will receive what they wish from their Lord; and this will be the greatest favour.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 22

"ذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَشِّرُ اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۗ قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ وَمَنْ يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَزِدْ لَهُ فِيهَا حُسْنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ"

Zaalikal lazee yubash shirul laahu 'ibaadahul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaat; qul laaa as'alukum 'alaihi ajran illal mawaddata fil qurbaa; wa mai yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahoo feehaa husnaa; innal laaha Ghafoorun Shakoor

This is the good news that God gives to His creatures who believe and do good. Say: "I ask no recompense of you for it other than obligations of relationship." We shall give more excellence to him who acquires excellence. Surely God forgives and accepts (gratitude).

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 23

"أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۖ فَإِنْ يَشَإِ اللَّهُ يَخْتِمْ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ ۗ وَيَمْحُ اللَّهُ الْبَاطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ"

Am yaqooloonaf tara 'alal laahi kaziban fa-iny yasha il laahu yakhtim 'alaa qalbik; wa yamhul laahul baatila wa yuhiqqul haqqa bi Kalimaatih; innahoo 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Do they say he has fabricated a lie about God? He could have sealed your hearts if He pleased; but God blots out the false and vindicates the truth by His dispensations, for He knows the secrets of the hearts.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ"

Wa Huwal lazee yaqbalut tawbata 'an 'ibaadihee wa ya'foo 'anis saiyiaati wa ya'lamu maa taf'aloon

It is He who accepts repentance from His creatures and forgives their trespasses, for He knows what you do.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ وَالْكَافِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ"

Wa yastajeebul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilu saalihaati wa yazeeduhum min fadlih; wal kaafiroona lahum 'azaabun shadeed

He answers (the prayers) of those who believe and do good, and gives them more of His bounty. But for the unbelievers there is severe punishment.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 26

"۞ وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ"

Wa law basatal laahur rizqa li'ibaadihee labaghaw fil ardi wa laakiny yunazzilu biqadarim maa yashaaa'; innahoo bi'ibaadihee Khabeerum Baseer

If God were to give in abundance to His creatures they would fill the earth with oppression. So He gives according to measure as He will. He knows (what is good for) His creatures. He is all-aware and all-seeing.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوا وَيَنْشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْوَلِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ"

Wa Huwal lazee yunazzilul ghaisa mim ba'di maa qanatoo wa yanshuru rahmatah; wa Huwal Waliyyul Hameed

It is He who sends down rain when they had despaired of it, and showers His benevolence. He is the protector worthy of praise.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيهِمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ جَمْعِهِمْ إِذَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ"

Wa min Aayaatihee khalqus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bassa feehimaa min daaabbah; wa Huwa 'alaa jam'ihim izaa yashaaa'u Qadeer (section 3)

The creation of the heavens and the earth and all the living things dispersed in them, are a sign of His. He has the power to gather them together when He will.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ"

Wa maaa asaabakum mim museebatin fabimaa kasabat aydeekum wa ya'foo 'an kaseer

Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ"

Wa maaa antum bimu'jizeena fil ardi wa maa lakum min doonil laahi minw wa liyyinw wa laa naseer

You cannot thwart Him on the earth, and have no friend or helper apart from Him.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ الْجَوَارِ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ"

Wa min Aayaatihil ja waarifil bahri kal a'lam

Ships sailing in the ocean like ensigns are a sign of His.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 32

"إِنْ يَشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ"

Iny yashaaa yuskinir reeha fa yazlalna rawaakida 'alaa zahirhi; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil likulli sabbaarin shakoor

He could stop the wind if He pleased, then they would be stranded on its surface. Surely there are signs in this for every one who perseveres and is grateful.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 33

"أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا وَيَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ"

Aw yoobiqhunna bimaa kasaboo wa ya'fu 'an kaseer

Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 34

"وَيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ"

Wa ya'lamal lazeena yujaadiloona feee Aayaatinaa maa lahum mim mahees

Let those who dispute Our signs know that there is no way of escape for them.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ"

Famaa ooteetum min shai'in famataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa wa maa 'indal laahi khairunw wa abqaa lillazeena aamanoo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon

Whatsoever you have been given is only this life?s merchandise; but what is with God is better and more lasting for those who believe and place their trust in their Lord,

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَالَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُوا هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَ"

Wallazeena yajtaniboona kabaaa'iral ismi wal fawaa hisha wa izaa maa ghadiboo hum yaghfiroon

Who avoid the deadly sins, immoral acts, and forgive when they are angered,

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَالَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ"

Wallazeenas tajaaboo li Rabbihim wa aqaamus Salaata wa amruhum shooraa bainahum wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfiqoon

Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them,

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَغْيُ هُمْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ"

Wallazeena izaa asaabahumul baghyu hum yantasiroon

And those who defend themselves when they are wronged.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 39

"وَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا ۖ فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ"

Wa jazaaa'u saiyi'atin saiyi'tum misluha faman 'afaa wa aslaha fa ajruhoo 'alal laah; innahoo laa yuhibbuz zaalimeen

The retribution of evil is the equal of evil (done); yet those who forgive and rehabilitate will be rewarded by God. Verily He does not like those who do wrong.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَلَمَنِ انْتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ"

Wa lamanin tasara ba'da zulmihee fa ulaaa'ika maa 'alaihim min sabeel

If one avenges himself after he has been wronged, there is no way of blaming him.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 41

"إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَظْلِمُونَ النَّاسَ وَيَبْغُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ"

Innamas sabeelu 'alal lazeena yazlimoonan naasa wa yabghoona fil ardi bighairil haqq; ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabun aleem

Blame lies on those who oppress, and terrorise the land unjustly. For them there is painful punishment.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 42

"وَلَمَنْ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ"

Wa laman sabara wa ghafara inna zaalika lamin 'azmil umoor (section 4)

But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۗ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَىٰ مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ"

Wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo minw waliyyim mim ba'dih; wa taraz zaalimeena lammaa ra awul 'azaaba yaqooloona hal ilaa maraddim min sabeel

He whom God leads astray has no one except God to protect him. You should see the sinners when they face the punishment. They will say: "Isn?t there a way of going back?"

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ ۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ"

Wa taraahum yu'radoona 'alaihaa khaashi'eena minazzulli yanzuroona min tarfin khaifiyy; wa qaalal lazeena aamanooo innal khaasireenal lazeena khasiroon anfusahum wa ahleehim Yawmal Qiyaamah; alaaa innaz zaalimeena fee'azaabim muqeem

You should see them brought before the Fire, abject in disgrace, looking stealthily. And those who believe will say: "They who forfeit their souls and families on the Day of Resurrection will really be losers." Is it not that sinners will suffer a lasting torment?

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ"

Wa maa kaana lahum min awliyaaa'a yansuroonahum min doonil laah; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min sabeel

They will have no protector to help them other than God. He whom God allows to go astray has no way.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 46

"اسْتَجِيبُوا لِرَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ مَلْجَإٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَكِيرٍ"

Istajeeboo li Rabbikum min qabli any yaatiya Yawmul laa maradda lahoo minal laah; maa lakum mim malja iny yawma'izinw wa maa lakum min nakeer

Hearken to your Lord before the Day arrives from God that will not be averted. You will have no place of refuge then nor time for denying.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 47

"فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ إِنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَإِنَّا إِذَا أَذَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ كَفُورٌ"

Fa-in a'radoo famaaa arsalnaaka 'alaihim hafeezan in 'alaika illal balaagh; wa innaaa izaaa azaqnal insaana minnaa rahmatan fariha bihaa wa in tusibhum saiyi'atum bimaa qaddamat aydeehim fa innal insaana kafoor

If they turn away (you are not responsible); We have not appointed you a warden over them. Your duty is to deliver the message. When We let man taste of Our favours he begins to exult; but if misfortune befalls him, as a consequence of his own deeds, man is surely then ungrateful.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 48

"لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ"

Lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ard; yakhluqu maa yashaaa'; yahabu limai yashaaa'u inaasanw wa yahabu limai yashaaa'uz zukoor

To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatsoever He wills, bestows daughters on whosoever He will, and gives sons to whom He choose.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 49

"أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانًا وَإِنَاثًا ۖ وَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ عَقِيمًا ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ"

Aw yuzawwijuhum zukraananw wa inaasanw wa yaj'alu mai yashaaa'u 'aqeemaa; innahoo 'Aleemun Qadeer

On some He bestows both sons and daughters, and some He leaves issueless. He is all-knowing and all-powerful.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 50

"۞ وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ"

Wa maa kaana libasharin any yukallimahul laahu illaa wahyan aw minw waraaa'i hijaabin aw yursila Rasoolan fa yoohiya bi iznuhee maa yashaaa'; innahoo 'Aliyyun Hakeem

It is not given to man that God should speak to him except by suggestion or indirectly, or send a messenger to convey by His command whatsoever He please. He is all-high and all-wise.

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 51

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا ۚ مَا كُنْتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكِتَابُ وَلَا الْإِيمَانُ وَلَٰكِنْ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُورًا نَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ نَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ۚ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِي إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ"

Wa kazaalika awhainaaa ilaika rooham min amrinaa; maa kunta tadree mal Kitaabu wa lal eemaanu wa laakin ja'alnaahu nooran nahdee bihee man nashaaa'u min 'ibaadinaa; wa innaka latahdeee ilaaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

So have We revealed to you the Qur?an by Our command. You did not know what the Scripture was before, nor (the laws of) faith. And We made it a light by which We show the way to those of Our creatures as We please; and you certainly guide them to the right path,

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 52

"صِرَاطِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَصِيرُ الْأُمُورُ"

Siraatil laahil lazee lahoo maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; alaaa ilal laahi taseerul umoor (section 5)

The path of God to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And will not all things go back to God?

Surah Number : 42 , Ayat Number : 53

حم

 Haa Meeem

HA MIM.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 1

"وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ"

Wal Kitaabil Mubeen

I call to witness the lucent Book,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ"

Innaa ja'alnaahu Quraanan 'Arabiyyal la'allakum ta'qiloon

That We made it a distinctly lucid Qur?an that you may understand.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ"

Wa innahoo feee Ummil Kitaabi Ladainaa la'aliyyun hakeem

It is inscribed in the original Book (of Books) with Us, sublime, dispenser of (all) laws.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 4

"أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنْكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَنْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا مُسْرِفِينَ"

Afanadribu 'ankumuz Zikra safhan an kuntum qawmam musrifeen

Should We have withdrawn the Reminder from you as you are a people who exceed the bounds?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Wa kam arsalnaa min Nabiyyin fil awwaleen

Many a prophet had We sent to the earlier communities,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ"

Wa maa yaateehim min Nabiyyin illaa kaanoo bihee yasahzi'oon

But never did a prophet come at whom they did not scoff.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Fa ahlaknaaa ashadda minhum batshanw wa madaa masalul lawwaleen

So We destroyed far more powerful (nations) than they. The example of earlier people is there.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ"

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunna khalaqa hunnal 'Azeezul 'Aleem

If you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will answer: "The Mighty and All-knowing created them,"

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 9

"الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ"

Allazee ja'ala lakumul arda mahdanw wa ja'ala lakum feehaa subulal la'allakum tahtadoon

He who made the earth a bed for you, and laid out tracks upon it so that you may find the way;

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 10

"وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنْشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ"

Wallazee nazzala minas samaaa'i maaa'am biqadarin fa anshamaa bihee baldatam maitaa' kazaalika tukhrajoon

Who sent down water in due measure from the sky, then quickened a region that was dead -- So shall We bring you forth --

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ"

Wallazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa wa ja'ala lakum minal fulki wal-an'aami maa tarkaboon

He who created pairs of everything, and fashioned for you boats and beasts on which you ride,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 12

"لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ"

Litastawoo 'alaa zuhoorihee summa tazkuroo ni'mata Rabbikum izastawaitum 'alaihi wa taqooloo Subhaanal lazee sakhkhara lana haaza wa maa kunnaa lahoo muqrineen

So that when you sit astride of them and think of the bounties of your Lord, you may say: "All glory to Him who subjugated these for us. We were incapable of doing so.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ"

Wa innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa lamunqaliboon

Surely we have to go back to our Lord."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُبِينٌ"

Wa ja'aloo lahoo min 'ibaadihee juz'aa; innal insaana lakafoorum mubeen (section 1)

Yet they make some of His creatures His offspring! Man is surely most ungrateful.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 15

"أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَاكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ"

Amit takhaza mimmaa yakhluqu banaatinw wa asfaakum bilbaneen

Or has He taken from those He has created daughters for Himself, and assigned sons to you?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُمْ بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ"

Wa izaa bushshira ahaduhum bimaa daraba lir Rahmaani masalan zalla wajhuhoo muswaddanw wa hua kazeem

Yet when news of (a daughter) they had reserved for Ar-Rahman comes to one of them, his face is blackened (with shame), and he grieves in silence inwardly.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 17

"أَوَمَنْ يُنَشَّأُ فِي الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ"

Awa mai yunashsha'u fil hilyati wa huwa fil khisaami ghairu mubeen

Can one who has been raised on ornaments and cannot present her case coolly in a dispute (be associated with God?)

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَاثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْأَلُونَ"

Wa ja'alul malaaa'ikatal lazeena hum 'ibaadur Rahmaani inaasaa; a shahidoo khalaqhum; satuktabu shahaa datuhum wa yus'aloon

Yet they have made the angels, who are creatures of Ar-Rahman, females. Did they witness their creation? We shall record their testimony, and they will be interrogated.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُمْ ۗ مَا لَهُمْ بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ"

Wa qaaloo law shaaa'ar Rahmaanu maa 'abadnaahum; maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaa yakhrusoon

Yet they say: "If Ar-Rahman had so pleased we would not have worshipped them." They have no knowledge of it in the least. They only make up lies.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 20

"أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ فَهُمْ بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ"

Am aatainaahum Kitaabam min qablihee fahum bihee mustamsikoon

Did We give them a Scripture before this to which they are holding fast?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 21

"بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُهْتَدُونَ"

Bal qaalooo innaa wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa 'alaaa ummatinw wa innaa 'alaaa aasaarihim muhtadoon

In fact they say: "We found our fathers following a certain way, and are guided by their footprints."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 22

"وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ"

Wa kazaalika maaa arsalnaa min qablika fee qaryatim min nazeerin illaa qaala mutrafoohaaa innaa wajadnaaa aabaaa'anaa 'alaaa ummatinw wa innaa 'alaaa aasaarihim muqtadoon

Thus, We never sent an admonisher to a settlement before you but the decadent among them said. "We found our fathers following this way, and we are walking in their footsteps."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 23

"۞ قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ"

Qaala awa law ji'tukum bi ahdaa mimmaa wajattum 'alaihi aabaaa'akum qaalooo innaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee kaafiroon

"Even if I bring you a better guidance," he rejoined, "than the one you found your fathers on?" Still they said: "We do not believe in what you have brought."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 24

"فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Fantaqamnaa minhum fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mukazzibeen (section 2)

Then We punished them. So look at the fate of those who denied.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ"

Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu liabeehi wa qawmiheee innane baraaa'um mimmaa ta'budo

When Abraham said to his father and his people: "I am rid of what you worship

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ"

Illal lazee fataranee innahoo sa yahdeen

Other than Him who created me. He will show me the right way."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ"

Wa ja'alahaa Kalimatam baaqiyatan fee 'aqibihee la'al lahum yarji'oon

This is the legacy he left to his descendants so that they may turn (to God).

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 28

"بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ"

Bal matta'tu haaa'ulaaa'i wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa jaaa'a humul haqqu wa Rasoolum mubeen

In fact, I allowed them and their fathers to enjoy this life till the truth, and the apostle preaching it lucidly, came to them.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِ كَافِرُونَ"

Wa lammaa jaaa'ahumul haqqu qaaloo haazaa sihrunw wa innaa bihee kaafiroon

Yet when the truth had come to them, they said: "This is sorcery. We shall never believe in it."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ"

Wa qaaloo law laa nuzzila haazal Quraanu 'alaa rajulim minal qaryataini 'azeem

They also said: "Why was this Qur?an not sent down to some great man of the two cities?"

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 31

"أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ"

Ahum yaqsimoona rahmata Rabbik; Nahnu qasamnaa bainahum ma'eeshatahum fil hayaatid dunyaa wa rafa'naa ba'dahum fawqa ba'din darajaatil liyattakhiza ba'duhum ba'dan sukhriyyaa; wa rahmatu Rabbika khairum mimmaa yajma'oon

Are they the ones who dispense the favour of your Lord? It is He who apportions the means of livelihood among them in this world, and raises some in position over the others to make some others submissive. The favours of your Lord are better than what they amass.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَنْ يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ"

Wa law laaa any yakoonan naasu ummatanw waahidatal laja'alnaa limany yakfuru bir Rahmaani libu yootihim suqufam min fiddatinw wa ma'aarija 'alaihaa yazharoon

Had it not been that all people would become one community (of unbelievers), We might have given those who disbelieve in Ar-Rahman roofs of silver for their dwellings and (silver) stairs for mounting,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ"

Wa libu yootihim abwaabanw wa sururan 'alaihaa yattaki'oon

And doors (of silver) for their houses, (silver) couches for reclining,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 34

"وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِنْ كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ"

Wa zukhrufaa; wa in kullu zaalika lammaa mataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa; wal aakhiratu 'inda Rabbika lilmuttaqeen (section 3)

And ornaments of gold. But all this would have been nothing but the vanity of this world. The Hereafter with your Lord is for those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَمَنْ يَعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ"

Wa mai ya'shu 'an zikrir Rahmaani nuqaiyid lahoo Shaitaanan fahuwa lahoo qareen

We shall attach to him who goes blind to the remembrance of Ar-Rahman a devil as companion, --

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ"

Wa innahum la yasuddoo nahum 'anis sabeeli wa yahsaboona annahum muhtadoon

Surely the (devils) obstruct them from the path, though they think they are rightly guided, --

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 37

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ"

Hattaaa izaa jaaa'anaa qaala yaa laita bainee wa bainaka bu'dal mashriqaini fabi'sal qareen

Until when he comes before Us he will say (to the devil): "Would to God there was a distance of the East and West between you and me, for you were an evil companion!"

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَلَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ"

Wa lai yanfa'akumul Yawma iz zalamtum annakum fil 'azaabi mushtarikoon

But nothing will avail you on that day, for you were unjust, and you will be partners in the punishment.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 39

"أَفَأَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ"

Afa anta tusmi'us summa aw tahdil 'umya wa man kaana fee dalaalim mubeen

Can you make the deaf to hear, or show the blind, and those lost in clear error, the way?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 40

"فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ"

Fa immaa nazhabanna bika fa innaa minhum muntaqimoon

We shall punish them whether We take you away,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 41

"أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ"

Aw nuriyannakal lazee wa'adnaahum fa innaa 'alaihim muqtadiroon

Or show you some of what We have promised them. They are certainly well within Our power.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 42

"فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ"

Fastamsik billazeee oohi ya ilaika innaka 'alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem

So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. You are truly on the right path.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ"

Wa innahoo lazikrul laka wa liqawmika wa sawfa tus'aloon

It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ"

Was'al man arsalnaa min qablika mir Rusulinaaa aja'alnaa min doonir Rahmaani aalihatany yu badoon (section 4)

Inquire of apostles We had sent before you if We appointed gods to be worshipped other than Ar-Rahman.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi aayaatinaaa ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee faqaala innee Rasoolu Rabbil 'aalameen

We sent Moses with Our signs to the Pharaoh and his nobles. He said: "I have been sent by the Lord of all the worlds."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 46

"فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا إِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ"

Falammma jaaa'ahum bi aayaatinaaa izaa hum minhaa yadhakoon

But when he brought to them Our signs they laughed at them,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ"

Wa maa nureehim min aayatin illaa hiya akbaru min ukhtihaa wa akhaznaahum bil'azaabi la'allahum yarji'oon

(Even though) each miracle that We showed them was greater than the other. So We seized them with chastisement so that they may turn back.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَقَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَ السَّاحِرُ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ"

Wa qaaloo yaaa ayyuhas saahirud'u lanaa Rabbaka bimaa 'ahida 'indaka innanaa lamuhtadoon

But they said: "O sorcerer, call on your Lord for us in accordance with the compact He has made with you. We shall certainly come to guidance."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 49

"فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ"

Falammaa kashafnaa 'anhumul 'azaaba izaa hum yankusoon

Yet no sooner did We take away the affliction from them than they broke their pledge.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِي ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Wa naadaa Fir'awnu fee qawmihee qaala yaa qawmi alaisa lee mulku Misra wa haazihil anhaaru tajree min tahtee afalaa tubsiroon

And the Pharaoh said to his people: "O people, is not mine the kingdom of Egypt and these rivers that flow at my feet? Can you still not comprehend?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 51

"أَمْ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ"

Am ana khairum min haazal lazee huwa maheenunw wa laa yuakaadu yubeen

Am I (not) better than him who is contemptible, and cannot even express himself clearly?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 52

"فَلَوْلَا أُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ"

Falaw laa ulqiya 'alaihi aswiratum min zahabin awjaaa'a ma'ahul malaaa'ikatu muqtarineen

Why were then no bracelets of gold shed upon him from above, or angels sent down as a retinue with him?"

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 53

"فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ"

Fastakhaffa qawmahoo fa ataa'ooh; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

Thus he made light (of the matter) to his people, and they obeyed him. They were certainly wicked.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَلَمَّا آسَفُونَا انْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ"

Falammaaa aasafoonan taqamnaa minhum fa aghraqnaahum ajma'een

But when they roused Our anger We inflicted retributive punishment and drowned them all,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 55

"فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلْآخِرِينَ"

Faja'alnaahum salafanw wa masalal lil aakhireen (section 5)

And made them a precedent and example for posterity.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 56

"۞ وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ"

Wa lammaa duribab nu Maryama masalan izaa qawmu ka minhu yasidoon

When the example of Mary?s son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it,

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 57

"وَقَالُوا أَآلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ"

Wa qaalooo 'a-aalihatunaa khairun am hoo; maa daraboohu laka illaa jadalaa; balhum qawmun khasimoon

And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 58

"إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ"

In huwa illaa 'abdun an'amnaa 'alaihi wa ja'alnaahu masalal li Baneee Israaa'eel

(Jesus) was only a creature whom We favoured and made an example for the children of Israel.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 59

"وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ مَلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ"

Wa law nashaaa'u laja'alnaa minkum malaaa'ikatan fil ardi yakhlufoon

If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 60

"وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَاتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ"

Wa innahoo la'ilmul lis Saa'ati fala tamtarunna bihaa wattabi'oon; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem

He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me. This is the straight path.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 61

"وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ"

Wa laa yasuddan nakumush Shaitaanu innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen

Let not Satan misdirect you. He is your open enemy.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 62

"وَلَمَّا جَاءَ عِيسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ"

Wa lammaa jaaa'a 'Eesaa bilbaiyinaati qaala qad ji'tukum bil Hikmati wa li-ubaiyina lakum ba'dal lazee takhtalifoona feehi fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 63

"إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ"

Innal laaha Huwa Rabbee wa Rabbukum fa'budooh; haaza Siraatum Mustaqeem

Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 64

"فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ"

Fakhtalafal ahzaabu mim bainihim fawailul lillazeena zalamoo min 'azaabi Yawmin aleem

But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day!

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 65

"هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ"

Hal yanzuroona illas Saa'ata an taatiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 66

"الْأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ"

Al akhillaaa'u Yawma'izim ba'duhum liba'din 'aduwwun illal muttaqeen (section 6)

Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 67

"يَا عِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ"

Yaa 'ibaadi laa khawfun 'alaikumul Yawma wa laaa antum tahzanoon

O My creatures, there will be no fear or regret

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 68

"الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ"

Allazeena aamanoo bi Aayaatinaa wa kaanoo muslimeen

For (those of) you on that day who believed in My revelations and submitted.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 69

"ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ"

Udkhulul Jannata antum wa azwaajukum tuhbaroon

(You will) enter the garden, you and your spouses, and be glad."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 70

"يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِصِحَافٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنْتُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ"

Yutaafu 'alaihim bishaa fim min zahabinw wa akwaab, wa feehaa maatashtaheehil anfusu wa talazzul a'yunu wa antum feehaa khaalidoon

Golden platters and goblets will be passed around, and everything the heart desires and pleases the eye will be there, where you will abide for ever.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 71

"وَتِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Wa tilkal jannatul lateee ooristumoohaa bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

This is the Paradise you will inherit (as meed) for your deeds.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 72

"لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ"

Lakum feehaa faakihatun kaseeratum minhaa taakuloon

You will have fruits in abundance there to eat.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 73

"إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ"

Innal mujrimeena fee 'azaabi jahannama khaalidoon

The sinners will certainly dwell for ever in the torment of Hell.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 74

"لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ"

Laa yufattaru 'anhum wa hum feehi mublisoon

It will not decrease for them; dumb with despair they will stay in it.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 75

"وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الظَّالِمِينَ"

Wa maa zalamnaahum wa laakin kaanoo humuz zaalimeen

We did not wrong them, they wronged themselves.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 76

"وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ"

Wa naadaw yaa Maaliku liyaqdi 'alainaa Rabbuka qaala innakum maakissoon

They will call (to the keeper of Hell-gate): "O Malik, let your Lord decide our fate." He will answer: "You are to stay."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 77

"لَقَدْ جِئْنَاكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ"

Laqad ji'naakum bilhaqqi wa laakinna aksarakum lilhaqqi kaarihoon

We have brought to you the truth, but most of you despise the truth.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 78

"أَمْ أَبْرَمُوا أَمْرًا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ"

Am abramooo amran fainnaa mubrimoon

Have they settled upon a plan? We shall also settle on one.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 79

"أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ"

Am yahsaboona annaa laa nasma'u sirrahum wa najwaahum; balaa wa Rusulunaa ladaihim yaktuboon

Or do they think We do not hear their secrecies and stealthy consultations? In fact, Our messengers who attend them record everything.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 80

"قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْعَابِدِينَ"

Qul in kaana lir Rahmaani walad; fa-ana awwalul 'aabideen

Say: "If Ar-Rahman had a son I would have been the first of worshippers."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 81

"سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ"

Subhaana Rabbis samaawaati wal ardi Rabbil Arshi 'ammaa yasifoon

All too glorious is He, Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of all power, for what they ascribe to Him

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 82

"فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ"

Fazarhum yakhoodoo wa yal'aboo hattaa yulaaqoo Yawmahumul lazee yoo'adoon

Leave them to their vain discoursing and horse-play till they come to meet their promised day (of reckoning).

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 83

"وَهُوَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ إِلَٰهٌ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ"

Wa Huwal lazee fissamaaa'i Ilaahunw wa fil ardi Ilaah; wa Huwal Hakeemul'Aleem

He is God in heaven and God on earth, and He is all-wise and all-knowing.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 84

"وَتَبَارَكَ الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ"

Wa tabaarakal lazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa 'indahoo 'ilmus Saa'ati wa ilaihi turja'oon

Blessed be He, who holds the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them. He alone has knowledge of the Hour, and to Him will you return.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 85

"وَلَا يَمْلِكُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنْ شَهِدَ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ"

Wa laa yamlikul lazeena yad'oona min doonihish shafaa'ata illaa man shahida bilhaqqi wa hum ya'lamoon

Those they invoke apart from Him have no power of intercession, except those who testify to the truth and have knowledge.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 86

"وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ"

Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqahum la yaqoolun nallaahu fa annaa yu'fakoon

If you ask them who created them, they will answer: "God." How then can they turn away?

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 87

"وَقِيلِهِ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Wa qeelihee yaa Rabbi inna haa'ulaaa'i qawmul laa yu'minoon

And (the Prophet) will say: "O Lord, these are certainly a people who do not believe."

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 88

"فَاصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَامٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ"

Fasfah 'anhum wa qul salaam; fasawfa ya'lamoon (section 7)

Turn away from them and say: "Peace." They will come to know soon.

Surah Number : 43 , Ayat Number : 89

Haa Meeem

HA MIM.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 1

"وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ"

Wal Kitaabil Mubeen

The perspicuous Book is witness

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنْذِرِينَ"

Innaaa anzalnaahu fee lailatim mubaarakah; innaa kunnaa munzireen

(That) We sent it down one night of blessing -- so that We could warn --

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 3

"فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ"

Feehaa yufraqu kullu amrin hakeem

On which all affairs are sorted out and decided

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 4

"أَمْرًا مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ"

Amram min 'indinaaa; innaa kunnaa mursileen

As commands from Us. It is indeed We who send (messengers),

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 5

"رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ"

Rahmatam mir rabbik; innahoo Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

A mercy from your Lord. Verily He is all-hearing and all-knowing,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 6

"رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ"

Rabbis samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa; in kuntum mooqineen

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you really do believe.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 7

"لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa yuhyee wa yumeetu Rabbukum wa Rabbu aabaaa'ikumul awwaleen

There is no god other than He, who gives you life and death, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 8

"بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ"

Bal hum fee shakkiny yal'aboon

Yet they are lost in doubt and play.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 9

"فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Fartaqib Yawma taatis samaaa'u bidukhaanim mubeen

So watch for the day when the sky begins to emit clear smoke,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 10

"يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ"

Yaghshan naasa haazaa 'azaabun aleem

Which would envelope mankind. That would be a grievous affliction.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 11

"رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ"

Rabbanak shif 'annal 'azaaba innaa mu'minoon

"O Lord, take away this torment from us," (they will pray); "we have come to believe."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 12

"أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ"

Annaa lahumuz zikraa wa qad jaaa'ahum Rasoolum mubeen

How can a warning benefit them? The Apostle who explained all things clearly had come to them,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 13

"ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَجْنُونٌ"

Summaa tawallaw 'anhu wa qaaloo mu'allamum majnoon

But they turned away from him, and said: "He is well-instructed, (but) possessed."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 14

"إِنَّا كَاشِفُو الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ"

Innaa kaashiful 'azaabi qaleelaa; innakum 'aaa'indoon

If We remove the torment a little, you revert back (to misdeeds).

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 15

"يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَىٰ إِنَّا مُنْتَقِمُونَ"

Yawma nabtishul batsha tal kubraa innaa muntaqimoon

The day that We shall seize them with a grievous hold, We will indeed castigate them.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 16

"۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ"

Wa laqad fatannaa qablahum qawma Fir'awna wa jaaa'ahum Rasoolun kareem

We had tried the people of Pharaoh before them. A respected prophet had come to them (saying):

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 17

"أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ"

An addooo ilaiya 'ibaadal laahi innee lakum Rasoolun ameen

"Deliver the creatures of God to me. I am the trusted messenger sent to you.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَأَنْ لَا تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي آتِيكُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Wa al laa ta'loo 'alal laahi innee aateekum bisultaanim mubeen

Do not think yourselves to be above God: I have come to you with clear authority.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَنْ تَرْجُمُونِ"

Wa innee 'uztu bi Rabbee wa rabbikum an tarjumoon

I have taken refuge in my Lord and your Lord against your stoning me to death.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَإِنْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ"

Wa il lam tu'minoo lee fa'taziloon

If you do not believe in me, leave me alone."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 21

"فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ مُجْرِمُونَ"

Fada'aa rabbahooo anna haaa'ulaaa'i qawmum mujrimoon

Then he called to his Lord: "These are a sinful people."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ"

Fa asri bi'ibaadee lailan innakum muttaba'oon

"Journey by night with My devotees," (it was said); "you will certainly be pursued.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُنْدٌ مُغْرَقُونَ"

Watrukil bahra rahwan innahum jundum mughraqoon

(Cross and) leave the sea undisturbed. The (pursuing) hosts will surely be drowned,"

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 24

"كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ"

Kam tarakoo min jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

How many gardens and fountains did they leave behind,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ"

Wa zuroo'inw wa maqaa min kareem

And fields and stately mansions,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ"

Wa na'matin kaanoo feehaa faakiheen

And the comfort they enjoyed.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 27

"كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ"

Kazaalika wa awrasnaahaa qawman aakhareen

Thus it was; and We passed them on to another people.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْظَرِينَ"

Famaa bakat 'alaihimus samaaa'u wal ardu wa maa kaanoo munzareen

Neither did the heavens weep for them, nor the earth, nor were they granted respite.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ"

Wa laqad najjainaa Baneee Israaa'eela minal'azaabil muheen

So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 30

"مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ"

Min Fir'awn; innahoo kaana 'aaliyam minal musrifeen

They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ"

Wa laqadikh tarnaahum 'alaa 'ilmin 'alal 'aalameen

And We exalted them over the other people knowingly,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَاءٌ مُبِينٌ"

Wa aatainaahum minal aayaati maa feehi balaaa'um mubeen

And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 33

"إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَيَقُولُونَ"

Inna haaa'ulaaa'i la yaqooloon

Even then they say:

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 34

"إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنْشَرِينَ"

In hiya illaa mawtatunal oolaa wa maa nahnu bimun shareen

"There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ"

Faatoo bi aabaaa'inaaa inkuntum saadiqeen

So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 36

"أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ"

Ahum khayrun am qawmu Tubba'inw wallazeena min qablihim; ahlaknaahum innahum kaanoo mujrimeen

Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners?

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ"

Wa maa khalaqnas samaawaati wal arda wa maa baina humaa laa'ibeen

We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 38

"مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Maa khalaqnaahumaaa illaa bilhaqqi wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 39

"إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ"

Inna yawmal fasli meeqaatuhum ajma'een

The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 40

"يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَنْ مَوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ"

Yawma laa yughnee mawlan 'am mawlan shai'anw wa laa hum yunsaroon

The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 41

"إِلَّا مَنْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ"

Illaa mar rahimal laah' innahoo huwal 'azeezur raheem

Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 42

"إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ"

Inna shajarataz zaqqoom

The tree of Zaqqum will indeed be

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 43

"طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ"

Ta'aamul aseem

The food of sinners.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 44

"كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ"

Kalmuhli yaghlee filbutoon

It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 45

"كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ"

Kaghalyil hameem

As does boiling water.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 46

"خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ"

Khuzoohu fa'tiloohu ilaa sawaaa'il Jaheem

"Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said),

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 47

"ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ"

Summa subboo fawqa raasihee min 'azaabil hameem

"Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 48

"ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ"

Zuq innaka antal 'azeezul kareem

"Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble!

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 49

"إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَمْتَرُونَ"

Inna haazaa maa kuntum bihee tamtaroon

This is certainly what you had denied."

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 50

"إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ"

Innal muttaqeena fee maqaamin ameen

Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 51

"فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ"

Fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

In the midst of gardens and of springs,

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 52

"يَلْبَسُونَ مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ"

Yalbasoona min sundusinw wa istabraqim mutaqaabileen

Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 53

"كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ"

Kazaalika wa zawwajnaahum bihoorin 'een

Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 54

"يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ آمِنِينَ"

Yad'oona feehaa bikulli faakihatin aamineen

They will call for every kind of fruit with satisfaction.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 55

"لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ"

Laa yazooqoona feehal mawtaa illal mawtatal oolaa wa qaqaahum 'azaabal jaheem

There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 56

"فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ"

Fadlam mir rabbik; zaalika huwal fawzul 'azeem

By the beneficence of your Lord. This will be the great success.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 57

"فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ"

Fa innamaa yassarnaahu bilisaanika la'allahum yatazakkaroon

Therefore We have made this (Qur?an) easy in your tongue. They may haply take a warning.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 58

"فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُمْ مُرْتَقِبُونَ"

Fartaqib innahum murta qiboon

So you wait. They are also waiting.

Surah Number : 44 , Ayat Number : 59

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 1

"تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ"

Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil 'Azeezil Hakeem

The revelation of this Book is from God, the mighty and all-wise.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِنَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ"

Innaa fis samaawaati wal ardi la Aayaatil lilmu'mineen

Indeed there are signs for believers in the heavens and the earth.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَفِي خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ آيَاتٌ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ"

Wa fee khalaqikum wa maa yabussu min daaabbatin Aayaatul liqawminy-yooqinoon

In creating you and spreading all the moving things (on earth) are signs for people firm of faith,

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ رِزْقٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ آيَاتٌ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ"

Wakhtilaafil laili wannahaari wa maaa anzalal laahu minas samaaa'i mir rizqin fa ahyaa bihil arda ba'da mawtihaa wa tasreefir riyaahi Aayaatul liqawminy ya'qiloon

As there are signs in the alternation of night and day, and in rain that God sends with which He revives the earth once dead, as there are in the changing of the winds, for people who can understand.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 5

"تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَ اللَّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Tilka Aayatul laahi natloohaa 'alika bilhaqq, fabiayyi hadeesim ba'dal laahi wa Aayaatihee yu'minoon

These are revelations of God which we recite to you correctly: In what other lore but God and His manifestations would they then believe?

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ"

Wailul likulli affaakin aseem

Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 7

"يَسْمَعُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ"

Yasma'u Aayaatil laahi tutlaa 'alaihi summa yusirru mustakbiran ka-al lam yasma'haa fabashshirhu bi'azaabin aleem

Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا شَيْئًا اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ"

Wa izaa 'alima min Aayaatinaa shai'anit takhazahaa huzuwaa; ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabum muheen

When he comes to know something of Our messages he makes fun of them: For them is shameful punishment.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 9

"مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ"

Minw waraaa'ihim Jahannamu wa laa yughnee 'anhum maa kasaboo shai'anw wa laa mat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a wa lahum 'azaabun 'azeem

There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 10

"هَٰذَا هُدًى ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِنْ رِجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ"

Haazaa hudanw wal lazeena kafaroo bi aayaati Rabbihim lahum 'azaabum mir rijzin aleem (section 1)

This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 11

"۞ اللَّهُ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ"

Allaahul lazee sahkhara lakumul bahra litajriyal fulku feehi bi amrihee wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakum tashkuroon

It is God who subjugated the ocean for you so that ships may ply through it by His command, and you may seek His bounty, and may haply be grateful.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ"

Wa sakhkhara lakum maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi jamee'am minhu; inna feezaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yatafakkaroon

He subjugated for you whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, each and everything. Verily there are signs in this for those who reflect.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 13

"قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَغْفِرُوا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ اللَّهِ لِيَجْزِيَ قَوْمًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ"

Qul lillazeena aamanoo yaghfiroo lillazeena laa yarjoona ayyaamal laahi liyajziya qawmam bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon

Tell the believers to forgive those who do not fear the visitations of God, so that He may requite the people for their deeds.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 14

"مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ"

Maa 'amila saalihan falinafsihee wa man asaaa'a fa'alaihaa summa ilaa Rabbikum turja'oon

He who does good does so for himself; and he who does evil suffers the consequence thereof. You have then to go back to your Lord.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ"

Wa laqad aatainaa Baneee Israaa'eelal Kitaaba walhukma wan Nubuwwata wa razaqnaahum minat taiyibaati wa faddalnaahum;alal 'aalameen

We gave the children of Israel the Book, and the judgement and the prophethood, provided them with good things, favoured them over other people,

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ بَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا اخْتَلَفُوا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِي بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ"

Wa aatainaahum baiyinaatim minal amri famakh talafooo illaa mim ba'di maa jaaa'ahumul 'ilmu baghyam bainahum; inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum Yawmal Qiyaamati feemaa kaanoo feehi yakhtalifoon

And gave them a clear exposition of Our laws. And they did not differ until after knowledge came to them, through mutual jealousies. Verily your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgement in what they differed about.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 17

"ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Summa ja'alnaaka 'alaa sharee'atim minal amri fattabi'haa wa laa tattabi'ahwaaa'al-lazeena laa ya'lamoon

We have put you on the right way in the matter (of divine law). So follow it, and do not follow the wishes of those who are ignorant.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 18

"إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُغْنُوا عَنْكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ۚ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ"

Innahum lany yughnoo 'anka minal laahi shai'aa; wa innaz zaalimeena ba'duhum awliyaaa'u ba'dinw wallaahu waliyyul muttaqeen

They will not avail you in the least against God. Surely the wicked are each other?s friends, but God befriends those who fear and follow the right path.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 19

"هَٰذَا بَصَائِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ"

Haazaa basaaa'iru linnaasi wa hudanw wa rahmatul liqawminy yooqinoon

These are precepts of wisdom for men, and guidance and grace for people who believe with certainty.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 20

"أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ نَجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَوَاءً مَحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ"

Am hasibal lazeenaj tarahus saiyiaati an naj'alahum kallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilu saalihaati sawaaa'am mahyaahum wa mamaatuhum; saaa'a maa yahkumoon (section 2)

Do those who seek evil think that We shall make them equal in life and death to those who believe and do good? How bad is the judgement that they make!

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ"

Wa khalaqal laahus samaawaati wal arda bilhaqqi wa litujzaa kullu nafsim bimaa kasabat wa hum laa yuzlamoon

God has created the heavens and the earth with reason, so that He may reward each soul in accordance with what it has done; and no wrong will be done to them.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 22

"أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِ غِشَاوَةً فَمَنْ يَهْدِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ"

Afara'ayta manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu wa adal lahul laahu 'alaa 'ilminw wa khatama 'alaa sam'ihee wa qalbihee wa ja'ala 'alaa basarihee ghishaawatan famany yahdeehi mim ba'dil laah; afalaa tazakkaroon

Just think: Who apart from God can show the way to him who deifies his ego into his god, whom God allows to go astray knowingly, and seals his ears and heart, and covers over his eyes with a veil? Why then do you not contemplate?

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلَّا الدَّهْرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ"

Wa qaaloo maa hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa namootu wa nahyaa wa maa yuhlikunaaa illad dahr; wa maa lahum bizaalika min 'ilmin in hum illaayazunnoon

Yet they say: "There is nothing but the life of this world. We die and we live, and only time annihilates us." Yet they have no knowledge of this: They only speculate.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ مَا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ"

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim aayaatuna baiyinaatim maa kaana hujjatahum illaaa an qaalu'too bi aabaaa'inaaa in kuntum saadiqeen

When Our clear revelations are recited to them, their only argument is to say: "Bring our ancestors back, if what you say is true."

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 25

"قُلِ اللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Qulil laahu yuhyeekum summa yumeetukum summa yajma'ukum ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati laa raiba feehi wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon (section 3)

Say: "God, who gives you life and makes you die, will (raise the dead) then gather you (and your ancestors) together on the Day of Resurrection of which there is no doubt." And yet most men do not understand.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ"

Wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'atu Yawma 'iziny yakhsarul mubtiloon

God?s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. The day the Hour is proclaimed the liars will be losers.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰ إِلَىٰ كِتَابِهَا الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Wa taraa kulla ummatin jaasiyah; kullu ummatin tud'aaa ilaa kitaabihaa al Yawma tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

You will see each community kneeling down; and each community will be summoned to its ledger (of good and evil deeds). You will receive upon that day your recompense for what you had done.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 28

"هَٰذَا كِتَابُنَا يَنْطِقُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنْسِخُ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Haazaa kitaabunaa yantiqu 'alaikum bilhaqq; innaa kunnaa nastansikhu maa kuntum ta'maloon

This, Our record, will speak about you truthfully. We had everything you did recorded in it.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 29

"فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ"

Fa ammal lazeena aamaanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fayudkhiluhum Rabbuhum fee rahmatih; zaalika huwal fawzul mubeen

So, those who believed and did good things will be admitted to His favour by their Lord. This will be a clear triumph.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا مُجْرِمِينَ"

Wa ammal lazeena kafarooo afalam takun Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fastakbartum wa kuntum qawmam mujrimeen

As for the infidels, (it will be said): "Were not My messages read out to you? But you behaved with self-conceit, and became a sinful people.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُمْ مَا نَدْرِي مَا السَّاعَةُ إِنْ نَظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ"

Wa izaa qeela inna wa'dallaahi haqqunw was Saa'atu laa raiba feehaa qultum maa nadree mas Saa'atu in nazunnu illaa zannanw wa maa nahnu bimustaiqineen

Whenever it was said: ?God?s promise is certainly true, and there is no doubt about the Hour,? you replied: ?We know not what the Hour is. We have only a vague idea, but are not certain.?

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ"

Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa 'amiloo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

The evil of what they had done will become clear to them, and they will be seized by what they had scorned.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَقِيلَ الْيَوْمَ نَنْسَاكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ"

Wa qeelal yawma nansaakum kamaa naseetum liqaaa'a yawmikum haazaa wa maawaakumun Naaru wa maa lakum min naasireen

"We shall ignore you today," they will be told, "as you had forgotten the meeting of this Day. Your dwelling place is Hell, and there is none to save you:

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 34

"ذَٰلِكُمْ بِأَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ"

Zaalikum bi annakumut takhaztum aayaatil laahi huzuwanw wa gharratkumul hayaatud dunyaa; fal yawma laa yukhrajoona minhaa wa laahum yusta'taboon

This because you laughed at God?s revelations and were taken in by the life of the world." So they will neither be taken out of it, nor will be asked to seek God?s favour on that day.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبِّ الْأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Falillaahil hamdu Rabbis samaawaati wa Rabbil ardi Rabbil-'aalameen

All praise be to God, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of all the worlds.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَلَهُ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ"

Wa lahul kibriyaaa'u fissamaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem (section 4) (End Juz 25)

His is the supremacy in the heavens and the earth; and He is the all-mighty and all-wise.

Surah Number : 45 , Ayat Number : 37
