تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Tabaarakal lazee biyadihil mulku wa huwa 'alaa kulli shai-in qadeer

BLESSED BE HE who holds the (reins of) Kingship in His hand, who has power over everything,

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 1

"الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ"

Allazee khalaqal mawta walhayaata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amalaa; wa huwal 'azeezul ghafoor

Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving,

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 2

"الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ۖ مَا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِنْ فُطُورٍ"

Allazee khalaqa sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqam maa taraa fee khalqir rahmaani min tafaawutin farji'il basara hal taraa min futoor

Who created the seven skies one above the other. Do you see any disproportion in the creations of Ar-Rahman? Turn your eyes again. Do you see any fissures?

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 3

"ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنْقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ"

Summar ji'il basara karrataini yanqalib ilaikal basaru khaasi'anw wa huwa haseer

Turn your eyes again and again. Your gaze turns back dazed and tired.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ"

Wa laqad zaiyannas samaaa'ad dunyaa bimasaa beeha wa ja'alnaahaa rujoomal lish shayaateeni wa a'tadnaa lahum 'azaabas sa'eer

We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ"

Wa lillazeena kafaroo bi rabbihim 'azaabu jahannama wa bi'sal maseer

For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 6

"إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ"

Izaaa ulqoo feehaa sami'oo lahaa shaheeqanw wa hiya tafoor

When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 7

"تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ"

Takaadu tamayyazu minal ghaizi kullamaaa ulqiya feehaa fawjun sa alahum khazanatuhaaa alam yaatikum nazeer

As though it would burst with fury. Every time a crowd is thrown into it, its wardens will ask: "Did no warner come to you?"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 8

"قَالُوا بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ"

Qaaloo balaa qad jaaa'anaa nazeerun fakazzabnaa wa qulnaa maa nazzalal laahu min shai in in antum illaa fee dalaalin kabeer

And they will answer: "Surely; a warner came to us, but we denied him, and said: ?God did not send down any thing; you are greatly deluded, in fact.?"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ"

Wa qaaloo law kunnaa nasma'u awna'qilu maa kunnaa feee as haabis sa'eer

They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell."

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ"

Fa'tarafoo bizambihim fasuhqal li as haabis sa'eer

So will they confess their guilt. Deprived (of all joys) will be the inmates of Hell.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 11

"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ"

Innal lazeena yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaibi lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun kabeer

For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ"

Wa asirroo qawlakum awijharoo bihee innahoo 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 13

"أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ"

Alaa ya'lamu man khalaq wa huwal lateeful khabeer

Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 14

"هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ"

Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul arda zaloolan famshoo fee manaakibihaa wa kuloo mir rizqihee wa ilaihin nushoor

It is lie who made the earth subservient to you that you may travel all around it, and eat of things He has provided; and to Him will be your resurrection.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 15

"أَأَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ"

'A-amintum man fissamaaa'i aiyakhsifa bi kumul arda fa izaa hiya tamoor

Are you so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not open up the earth to swallow you, when it will begin to tremble?

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 16

"أَمْ أَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ"

Am amintum man fissamaaa'i ai yursila 'alaikum haasiban fasata'lamoona kaifa nazeer

Or have you become so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not send a violent wind to shower stones at you? Then you will know the import of My commination!

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ"

Wa laqad kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fakaifa kaana nakeer

Those before them had also denied. And how was My punishment then!

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 18

"أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ"

Awalam yaraw ilat tairi fawqahum saaaffaatinw wa yaqbidna; maa yumsikuhunna illaar rahmaan; innahoo bikulli shai im baseer

Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 19

"أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُنْدٌ لَكُمْ يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ"

Amman haazal lazee huwa jundul lakum yansurukum min doonir rahmaan; inilkaafiroona illaa fee ghuroor

What other army do you have to help you apart from Ar-Rahman? The unbelievers are surely lost in delusion.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 20

"أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ"

Amman haazal lazee yarzuqukum in amsaka rizqah; bal lajjoo fee 'utuwwinw wa nufoor

Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion.

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 21

"أَفَمَنْ يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّنْ يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ"

Afamai yamshee mukibban 'alaa wajhihee ahdaaa ammany yamshee sawiyyan 'alaa siratim mustaqeem

Will he find the way who grovels flat on his face, or he who walks straight on the right path?

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 22

"قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۖ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ"

Qul huwal lazee ansha akum wa ja'ala lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idata qaleelam maa tashkuroon

Say: "It is He who raised you and gave you ears and eyes and hearts. How little are the thanks you offer!"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 23

"قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ"

Qul huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon

Say: "It is He who dispersed you all over the earth, and to Him you will be gathered."

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ"

Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

But they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 25

"قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Qul innamal 'ilmu 'indallaahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen

Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly."

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 26

"فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ"

Falaammaa ra-awhu zulfatan seee'at wujoohul lazeena kafaroo wa qeela haazal lazee kuntum bihee tadda'oon

When they realise it has come upon them, distraught will be the faces of unbelievers. They will be told: "This is what you asked for."

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 27

"قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ مَعِيَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَنْ يُجِيرُ الْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ"

Qul ara'aytum in ahlaka niyal laahu wa mam ma'iya aw rahimanaa famai-yujeerul kaafireena min 'azaabin aleem

Say: "Just think: If God destroys me and those with me, or is benevolent to us, who will then protect the unbelievers from a painful doom?"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 28

"قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ"

Qul huwar rahmaanu aamannaa bihee wa 'alaihi tawakkalnaa fasata'lamoona man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen

Say: "He is the benevolent; in Him do we believe, and in Him do we place our trust. You will now realise who is in manifest error."

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 29

"قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِمَاءٍ مَعِينٍ"

Qul ara'aytum in asbaha maaa'ukum ghawran famai yaateekum bimaaa'im ma'een

Say: "Just think: If your water were to dry up in the morning who will bring you water from a fresh, flowing stream?"

Surah Number : 67 , Ayat Number : 30

ن ۚ وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ

Noon; walqalami wa maa yasturoon

NUN. I CALL to witness the pen and what they inscribe,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 1

"مَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍ"

Maa anta bini'mati Rabbika bimajnoon

You are not demented by the grace of your Lord.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ"

Wa inna laka la ajran ghaira mamnoon

There is surely reward unending for you,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ"

Wa innaka la'alaa khuluqin 'azeem

For you are verily born of sublime nature.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 4

"فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ"

Fasatubsiru wa yubsiroon

So you will see, and they will realise,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 5

"بِأَيْيِكُمُ الْمَفْتُونُ"

Bi ayyikumul maftoon

Who is distracted.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 6

"إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ"

Innaa Rabbaka Huwa a'lamu biman dalla 'an sabeelihee wa Huwa a'lamu bilmuhtadeen

Verily your Lord knows those who have gone astray from His path, and He knows those who are guided on the way.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَلَا تُطِعِ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Falaa tuti'il mukazzibeen

So do not comply with those who deny:

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ"

Waddoo law tudhinu fa-yudhinoon

They only want that you should relent, so that they may come to terms.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَهِينٍ"

Wa laa tuti' kulla hallaa fim maheen

Do not heed a contemptible swearer,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 10

"هَمَّازٍ مَشَّاءٍ بِنَمِيمٍ"

Hammaazim mash shaaa'im binameem

Or backbiter, calumniator, slanderer,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 11

"مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ"

Mannaa'il lilkhairi mu'tadin aseem

Who hinders men from (doing) good, the transgressor, the iniquitous,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 12

"عُتُلٍّ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ"

'Utullim ba'da zaalika zaneem

Crude, and above all, mean and infamous,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 13

"أَنْ كَانَ ذَا مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ"

An kaana zaa maalinw-wa baneen

Simply because he possesses wealth and children.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 14

"أَنْ كَ"إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ"انَ ذَا مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ"

Izaa tutlaa 'alaihi aayaatunaa qaala asaateerul awwaleen

When you recite Our revelations to him, he says: "These are fables of long ago."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 15

"سَنَسِمُهُ عَلَى الْخُرْطُومِ"

Sanasimuhoo 'alal khurtoom

We shall brand him on the muzzle.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 16

"إِنَّا بَلَوْنَاهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَا أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ"

Innaa balawnaahum kamaa balawnaaa As-haabal jannati iz 'aqsamoo la-yasri munnahaa musbiheen

We have tried you as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed to gather the fruits in the morning

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ"

Wa laa yastasnoon

But did not add: "If God may please."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 18

"فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَائِفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ"

Fataafa 'alaihaa taaa'i fum mir rabbika wa hum naaa'imoon

Then a calamity from your Lord fell upon it, but they remained fast asleep.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 19

"فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَالصَّرِيمِ"

Fa asbahat kassareem

So by the morning it seemed as though picked clean.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 20

"فَتَنَادَوْا مُصْبِحِينَ"

Fatanaadaw musbiheen

At daybreak they called to each other:

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 21

"أَنِ اغْدُوا عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَارِمِينَ"

Anighdoo 'alaa harsikum in kuntum saarimeen

"If you want to gather the fruits, let us go early to the plantation."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَانْطَلَقُوا وَهُمْ يَتَخَافَتُونَ"

Fantalaqoo wa hum yatakhaafatoon

So they departed, talking in low voices:

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 23

"أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِسْكِينٌ"

Al laa yadkhulannahal yawma 'alaikum miskeen

"Let no needy person come to you within it today."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَغَدَوْا عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍ قَادِرِينَ"

Wa ghadaw 'alaa hardin qaadireen

They left early in the morning bent on this purpose.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 25

"فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوا إِنَّا لَضَالُّونَ"

Falammaa ra awhaa qaalooo innaa ladaaalloon

When they saw (and did not recognise it) they said: "Surely we have lost the way.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 26

"بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ"

Bal nahnu mahroomoon

No. In fact we have been deprived of it."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 27

"قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ"

Qaala awsatuhum alam aqul lakum law laa tusabbihoon

One who was temperate among them, said: "Did I not say: ?Why don?t you priase God??"

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 28

"قَالُوا سُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ"

Qaaloo subhaana rabbinaaa innaa kunnaa zaalimeen

"Glory to our Lord," they said; we were really in the wrong."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 29

"فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَاوَمُونَ"

Fa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatalaawamoon

Then they started blaming one another,

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 30

"قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا طَاغِينَ"

Qaaloo yaa wailanaaa innaa kunnaa taagheen

Saying: "Alas the woe, we were iniquitous.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 31

"عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَاغِبُونَ"

'Asaa rabbunaaa any yubdilanaa khairam minhaaa innaaa ilaa rabbinaa raaghiboon

Maybe our Lord will give us better than this. We turn to our Lord in supplication."

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 32

"كَذَٰلِكَ الْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Kazaalikal azaab, wa la'azaabul aakhirati akbar; law kaanoo ya'lamoon

Such is Our chastisement; and the punishment of the Hereafter will be greater, if only they knew!

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 33

"إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ"

Inna lilmuttaqeena 'inda rabbihim jannaatin na'eem

For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 34

"أَفَنَجْعَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَالْمُجْرِمِينَ"

Afanaj'alul muslimeena kalmujrimeen

Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 35

"مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ"

Maa lakum kaifa tahhkumoon

What has come upon you that you judge in such a wise?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 36

"أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَابٌ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ"

Am lakum kitaabun feehi tadrusoon

Or have you a Book in which you read

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 37

"إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ"

Inna lakum feehi lamaa takhaiyaroon

That you can surely have whatever you choose?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 38

"أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَانٌ عَلَيْنَا بَالِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ"

Am lakum aymaanun 'alainaa baalighatun ilaa yawmil qiyaamati inna lakum lamaa tahkumoon

Or have you taken a binding promise from Us which would hold till the Day of Judgement, that you will get whatever you demand?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 39

"سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ"

Salhum ayyuhum bizaa lika za'eem

Ask them: "Which of you is able to vouch for this?"

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 40

"أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ"

Am lahum shurakaaa'u falyaatoo bishurakaaa 'ihim in kaanoo saadiqeen

Or have they any partners? Let them bring their partners then, if what they say is true.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 41

"يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ"

Yawma yukshafu 'am saaqinw wa yud'awna ilas sujoodi falaa yastatee'oon

On the day the great calamity befalls, and they are called to bow in homage, they will not be able to do so.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 42

"خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَالِمُونَ"

Khaashi'atan absaaruhum tarhaquhum zillatunw wa qad kaanoo yud'awna ilassujoodi wa hum saalimoon

Lowered will be their eyes, disgrace overwhelming them. They had indeed been called to bow in homage when they were free of blame.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 43

"فَذَرْنِي وَمَنْ يُكَذِّبُ بِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ ۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Fazarnee wa many yukazzibu bihaazal hadeesi sanastad rijuhum min haisu laa ya'lamoon

So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ"

Wa umlee lahum; inna kaidee mateen

Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 45

"أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ"

Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon

Do you ask for any compensation from them that they are burdened with want?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 46

"أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ"

Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon

Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down?

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 47

"فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ"

Fasbir lihukmi rabbika wa laa takun kasaahibil hoot; iz naadaa wa huwa makzoom

So wait with patience for the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like (onah) of the fish who called (to his Lord) when he was choked with anger.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 48

"لَوْلَا أَنْ تَدَارَكَهُ نِعْمَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ لَنُبِذَ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌ"

Law laaa an tadaara kahoo ni'matum mir rabbihee lanubiza bil'araaa'i wa huwa mazmoom

Had it not been for a favour from his Lord he would have been cast blame-worthy on a barren plain.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 49

"فَاجْتَبَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَجَعَلَهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ"

Fajtabaahu rabbuhoo faja'alahoo minas saaliheen

Then his Lord chose him and placed him among the upright.

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَإِنْ يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ"

Wa iny-yakaadul lazeena kafaroo la-yuzliqoonaka biabsaarihim lammaa saml'uz-Zikra wa yaqooloona innahoo lamajnoon

But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;"

Surah Number : 68 , Ayat Number : 51

"وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ"

Wa maa huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

Whilst it is no more than reminder for the people of the world.

THE CONCRETE REALITY.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 1

"مَا الْحَاقَّةُ"

Mal haaaqqah

What is the concrete reality?

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ"

Wa maaa adraaka mal haaaqqah

What do you comprehend by the concrete reality?

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 3

"كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ"

Kazzabat samoodu wa 'Aadum bil qaari'ah

The Thamud and ?Ad denied the consequential calamity.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 4

"فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ"

Fa-ammaa Samoodu fauhlikoo bittaaghiyah

So destroyed were the Thamud by a storm of thunder and lightning;

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ"

Wa ammaa 'Aadun fa uhlikoo bireehin sarsarin 'aatiyah

And the ?Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 6

"سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ"

Sakhkharahaa 'alaihim sab'a la yaalinw wa samaaniyata ayyaamin husooman fataral qawma feehaa sar'aa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin khaawiyah

Which He sent to assail them for seven nights and eight days running. You should have seen the people prostrate like the decayed trunks of date-palm trees.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَاقِيَةٍ"

Fahal taraa lahum mim baaqiyah

Do you see any trace of them?

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ"

Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bilhaati'ah

Then came the Pharaoh, and those before him whose habitations were overthrown while they were committing crimes.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 9

"فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً"

Fa'ansaw Rasoola Rabbihim fa akhazahum akhzatar raabiyah

When they disobeyed the apostle of their Lord He seized them with an overwhelming punishment.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 10

"إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ"

Innaa lammaa taghal maaa'u hamalnaakum fil jaariyah

When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 11

"لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ"

Linaj'alahaa lakum tazki ratanw-wa ta'iyahaa unzununw waa'iyah

In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 12

"فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ"

Fa izaa nufikha fis soori nafkhatunw waahidah

When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً"

Wa humilatil ardu wal jibaalu fadukkataa dakkatanw waahidah

And the earth and mountains heaved and crushed to powder with one levelling blow,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 14

"فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ"

Fa yawma'izinw waqa'atil waaqi'ah

On that Day will come what is to come.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ"

Wanshaqqatis samaaa'u fahiya yawma 'izinw-waahiyah

The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ"

Wal malaku 'alaaa arjaaa'ihaa; wa yahmilu 'Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawma'izin samaaniyah

On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord?s throne aloft.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 17

"يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ"

Yawma'izin tu'radoona laa takhfaa min kum khaafiyah

You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 18

"فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ"

Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenihee fa yaqoolu haaa'umuq ra'oo kitaabiyah

He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 19

"إِنِّي ظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ"

Innee zannantu annee mulaaqin hisaabiyah

I was certain I?ll be given my account."

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 20

"فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ"

Fahuwa fee 'eeshatir raadiyah

So he shall have an agreeable life

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 21

"فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ"

Fee jannnatin 'aaliyah

In high empyrean

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 22

"قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ"

Qutoofuhaa daaniyah

With fruits hanging low within reach,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 23

"كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ"

Kuloo washraboo haneee'am bimaaa aslaftum fil ayyaamil khaliyah

(And told:) "Eat and drink to your fill as reward for (good) deeds you had done in days of yore."

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ"

Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo bishimaalihee fa yaqoolu yaalaitanee lam oota kitaaabiyah

But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "Would that I were never given my ledger,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ"

Wa lam adri maa hisaabiyah

And not known my account!

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 26

"يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ"

Yaa laitahaa kaanatil qaadiyah

I wish death had put an end to me.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 27

"مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ۜ"

Maaa aghnaa 'annee maaliyah

Of no use was even my wealth.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 28

"هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ"

Halaka 'annee sultaaniyah

Vanished has my power from me."

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 29

"خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ"

Khuzoohu faghullooh

"Seize him and manacle him,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 30

"ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ"

Summal Jaheema sallooh

Then cast him to be burnt in Hell;

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 31

"ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ"

Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh

And string him to a chain seventy cubits long.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 32

"إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ"

Innahoo kaana laa yu'minubillaahil 'Azeem

He did not believe in God the supreme,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ"

wa laa yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen

Nor urged others to feed the poor.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 34

"فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ"

Falaysa lahul yawma haahunaa hameem

That is why he has no friend today,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ"

Wa laa ta'aamun illaa min ghisleen

Nor food other than suppuration (filth)

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 36

"لَا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ"

Laa yaakuluhooo illal khati'oon

Which none but the hellish eat."

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 37

"فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Falaaa uqsimu bimaa tubsiroon

So, I call to witness what you see

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 38

"وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Wa maa laa tubsiroon

And what you do not see,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 39

"إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ"

Innahoo laqawlu Rasoolin kareem

That this is indeed the word of the noble Messenger,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تُؤْمِنُونَ"

Wa ma huwa biqawli shaa'ir; qaleelam maa tu'minoon

And not the word of a poet. How little is it that you believe!

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 41

"وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ"

Wa laa biqawli kaahin; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon

Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you reflect!

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 42

"تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ"

Tanzeelum mir rabbil 'aalameen

It has been sent down by the Lord of all the worlds.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ"

Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel

Had he attributed falsely any words to Us,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 44

"لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ"

Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel

We would have seized him by his right hand,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 45

"ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ"

Summa laqata'naa minhul wateen

Then cut off his aorta,

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 46

"فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ"

Famaa minkum min ahadin'anhu haajizeen

And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us).

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ"

Wa innahoo latazkiratul lilmuttaqeen

It is really a reminder for those who fear God and follow the straight path.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wa inna lana'lamu anna minkum mukazzibeen

We certainly know that some among you do deny it.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 49

"وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ"

Wa innahu lahasratun 'alal kaafireen

It is surely the nemesis of unbelievers.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ"

Wa innahoo lahaqqul yaqeen

And He, He is indeed the ultimate Reality.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 51

"فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ"

Fassabbih bismi Rabbikal 'Azeem

So glorify your Lord, the most supreme.

Surah Number : 69 , Ayat Number : 52

سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ

Sa ala saaa'ilum bi'azaa binw-waaqi'

AN INQUIRER ASKED for the affliction that is to come

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 1

"لِلْكَافِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ"

Lilkaafireen laisa lahoo daafi'

Upon the infidels -- which none would be able to repel --

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 2

"مِنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ"

Minal laahi zil ma'aarij

From God, the Lord of the steps (of progression),

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 3

"تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ"

Ta'rujul malaaa'ikatu war Roohu ilaihi fee yawmin kaana miqdaaruhoo khamseena alfa sanah

To whom the angels and the soul take a day to ascend, whose length is fifty thousand years.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 4

"فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا"

Fasbir ssabran jameelaa

So persevere with becoming patience.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 5

"إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا"

Inaahum yarawnahoo ba'eedaa

They surely take it to be far away,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا"

Wa naraahu qareebaa

But We see it very near.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 7

"يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ"

Yawma takoonus samaaa'u kalmuhl

The day the sky becomes like molten brass,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ"

Wa takoonul jibaalu kal'ihn

The mountains like the tufts of (carded) wool,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا"

Wa laa yas'alu hameemun hameemaa

And no friend inquires after friend

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 10

"يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ"

Yubassaroonahum; ya waddul mujrimu law yaftadee min 'azaabi yawma'izim bibaneeh

Though within sight of one another. The sinner would like to ransom himself from the torment of that Day by offering his sons,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ"

Wa saahibatihee wa akheeh

His wife and his brother,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَفَصِيلَتِهِ الَّتِي تُؤْوِيهِ"

Wa faseelathil latee tu'weeh

And his family who had stood by him,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنْجِيهِ"

Wa man fil ardi jamee'an summa yunjeeh

And all those who are on the earth, to save himself.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 14

"كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ"

Kallaa innahaa lazaa

But never. It is pure white flame

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 15

"نَزَّاعَةً لِلشَّوَىٰ"

Nazzaa'atal lishshawaa

That would skin the scalp.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 16

"تَدْعُو مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ"

Tad'oo man adbara wa tawallaa

It will summon whoever turns his back and flees,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَىٰ"

Wa jama'a fa aw'aa

Who amasses and then hoards.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 18

"۞ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا"

Innal insaana khuliqa haloo'aa

Surely man is greedy by nature.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 19

"إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا"

Izaa massahush sharru jazoo'aa

If evil befalls him he is perturbed;

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا"

Wa izaa massahul khairu manoo'aa

If good comes to him he holds back his hand,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 21

"إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ"

Illal musalleen

Except those who closely follow (the Book of God),

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 22

"الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ"

Allazeena hum 'alaa Salaatihim daaa'imoon

Who persevere in devotion,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَعْلُومٌ"

Wallazeena feee amwaalihim haqqum ma'loom

In whose wealth a due share is included

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 24

"لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ"

Lissaaa 'ili walmahroom

For the needy and those dispossessed,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَالَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ"

Wallazeena yusaddiqoona bi yawmid Deen

And those who believe in the Day of Judgement,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ"

Wallazeena hum min 'azaabi Rabbihim mushfiqoon

And those who fear the punishment of their Lord, --

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 27

"إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ"

Inna 'azaaba Rabbihim ghairu maamoon

Surely no one can be secure from the punishment of his Lord, --

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ"

Wallazeena hum lifuroo jihim haafizoon

And those who guard their sex except from their wives and women slaves of old

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 29

"إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ"

Illaa 'alaaa azwaajihim aw maa malakat aymaanuhum fainnahum ghairu maloomeen

Are free of blame,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 30

"فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ"

Famanib taghaa waraaa'a zaalika fa ulaaa'ika humul 'aadoon

But those who seek more than this will be transgressors;

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ"

Wallazeena hum li amaa naatihim wa 'ahdihim raa'oon

And those who fulfil their trusts and covenants,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ"

Wallazeena hum bishahaadaatihim qaaa'imoon

Who uphold their testimonies,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ"

Wallazeena hum 'alaa salaatihim yuhaafizoon

And those who are mindful of their moral obligations.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 34

"أُولَٰئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ"

Ulaaa'ika fee jannaatim mukramoon

They will live in gardens with honour.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ"

Famaa lil lazeena kafaroo qibalaka muhti'een

What is the matter with unbelievers that they stare at you with fixed gazes and hasten towards you

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 36

"عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ"

'Anil yameeni wa 'anish shimaali 'izeen

In crowds, right and left?

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 37

"أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ"

Ayatma'u kullum ri'im minhum anyyudkhala jannata Na'eem

Does every one of them wish to enter the garden of tranquility?

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 38

"كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ"

Kallaaa innaa khalaq nahum mimmaa ya'lamoon

Never so. We have created them from what they know.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 39

"فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ"

Falaaa uqsimu bi Rabbil mashaariqi wal maghaaribi innaa laqaadiroon

So I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 40

"عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ"

'Alaaa an nubaddila khairam minhum wa maa Nahnu bimasbooqeen

To bring better people than they in their place; and they will not be able to thwart Us.

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 41

"فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ"

Fazarhum yakhoodoo wa yal'aboo hattaa yulaaqoo yaw mahumul lazee yoo'adoon

So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 42

"يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٍ يُوفِضُونَ"

Yawma yakhrujoona minal ajdaasi siraa'an ka anna hum ilaa nusubiny yoofidoon

The day when they will come out of their graves in all haste as though rushing to their altars,

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 43

"خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ"

Khaashi'atan absaaruhum tarhaquhum zillah; zaalikal yawmul lazee kaanoo yoo'adoon

Eyes lowered, shame attending. That is the day they have been promised!

Surah Number : 70 , Ayat Number : 44

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Innaaa arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee an anzir qawmaka min qabli any yaatiyahum 'azaabun aleem

SENT NOAH to his people to warn them before the painful punishment came upon them.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 1

"قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Qaala yaa qawmi innee lakum nazeerum mubeen

He said: "O my people, I warn you clearly

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 2

"أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ"

Ani'udul laaha watta qoohu wa atee'oon

That you should worship God and fear Him, and follow me

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 3

"يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ"

Yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yu'akhkhirkum ilaaa ajalim musammaa; innaa ajalal laahi izaa jaaa'a laa yu'akhkhar; law kuntum ta'lamoon

That He may forgive some of your sins and prolong your term till an appointed time. Surely when God?s appointed time is come it will not be put off, if only you knew!

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 4

"قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا"

Qaala rabbi innee da'awtu qawmee lailanw wa naharaa

He said: "O Lord, I called my people night and day,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 5

"فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَارًا"

Falam yazid hum du'aaa 'eee illaa firaaraa

But the more I called, they only ran the farther away.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا"

Wa inee kullamaa da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'alooo asaabi'ahum fee aazaanihim wastaghshaw siyaabahum wa asaarroo wastakbarus tikbaaraa

And every time I called them that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their garments, and became wayward, and behaved with downright insolence.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 7

"ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا"

Summa innee da'aw tuhum jihaara

Then I called them loudly and more openly,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 8

"ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا"

Summaa inneee a'lantu lahum wa asrartu lahum israaraa

And declared to them in public and in private,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 9

"فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا"

Faqultus taghfiroo Rabakum innahoo kaana Ghaffaaraa

And I told them: ?Ask your Lord to forgive you. He is verily forgiving.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 10

"يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا"

Yursilis samaaa'a 'alaikum midraaraa

He will send you abundant rain from the sky,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا"

Wa yumdidkum bi am waalinw wa baneena wa yaj'al lakum Jannaatinw wa yaj'al lakum anhaaraa

And will give you increase of wealth and sons, and give you gardens and springs of water.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 12

"مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا"

Maa lakum laa tarjoona lillaahi waqaaraa

What has come upon you that you do not fear the majesty of God,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا"

Wa qad khalaqakum at waaraa

Knowing that He has created you by various stages?

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 14

"أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا"

Alam taraw kaifa khalaqal laahu sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqaa

Do you not see how God has fashioned seven skies one above the other,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا"

Wa ja'alal qamara feehinna nooranw wa ja'alash shamsa siraajaa

And has placed the moon therein, an illumination, and has placed the sun, a lighted lamp?

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَاللَّهُ أَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا"

Wallaahu ambatakum minal ardi nabaataa

God produced you from the earth like a vegetable growth;

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 17

"ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا"

Summa yu'eedukum feehaa wa ukhrijukum ikhraajaa

He will then return you back to it, and bring you out again.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا"

Wallaahu ja'ala lakumul arda bisaataa

God has made the earth for you a spreading,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 19

"لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا"

Litaslukoo minhaa subulan fijaajaa

So that you may walk upon its spacious paths.?

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 20

"قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا"

Qaala Noohur Rabbi innahum 'asawnee wattaba'oo mal lam yazid hu maaluhoo wa waladuhooo illaa khasaara

But they did not listen to me," Noah said, "and followed him whose wealth and children only added to his ruin.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا"

Wa makaroo makran kubbaaraa

And they contrived a plot of great magnitude,

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 22

"وَقَالُوا لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا"

Wa qaaloo laa tazarunna aalihatakum wa laa tazarunna Waddanw wa laa Suwaa'anw wa laa Yaghoosa wa Ya'ooqa wa Nasraa

And said: ?Do not abandon your gods, and do not abandon Wadda or Suwa?, or Yaghuth, Ya?uq or Nasr.?

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا"

Wa qad adalloo kasee ranw wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa dalaalaa

And they misled many. So do not give the evil-doers increase but in error.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 24

"مِمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْصَارًا"

Mimmaa khateee' aatihim ughriqoo fa udkhiloo Naaran falam yajidoo lahum min doonil laahi ansaaraa

They were drowned because of their habitual sinfulness, and sent to Hell, and did not find any helper other than God.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا"

Wa qaala Noohur Rabbi laa tazar 'alal ardi minal kaafireena daiyaaraa

Noah said: "O Lord, do not leave a single habitation of unbelievers on the earth.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا"

Innaka in tazarhum yudil loo 'ibaadaka wa laa yalidooo illaa faajiran kaffaaraa

If you leave them, they will lead Your creatures astray, and beget but iniquitous and ungrateful offspring.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 27

"رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا"

Rabbigh fir lee wa liwaa lidaiya wa liman dakhala baitiya mu'minanw wa lil mu'mineena wal mu'minaati wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa tabaaraa

O Lord, forgive me, my parents, and any one who enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and women, and do not give the evil-doers increase save in ruin.

Surah Number : 71 , Ayat Number : 28

قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا

Qul oohiya ilaiya annna hustama'a nafarum minal jinnni faqaalooo innaa sami'naa quraanan 'ajabaa

SAY: "I HAVE been informed that a number of jinns had listened; then said: ?We have heard the wondrous Qur?an,

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 1

"يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا"

Yahdeee ilar rushdi fa aamannaa bihee wa lan nushrika bi rabbinaaa ahadaa

Which guides to the right path; and we have come to believe in it, and will not associate any one with our Lord.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا"

Wa annahoo Ta'aalaa jaddu Rabbinaa mat takhaza saahibatanw wa la waladaa

Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا"

Wa annahoo kaana yaqoolu safeehunaa 'alal laahi shatataa

Certainly the foolish among us say preposterous things of God.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنْ لَنْ تَقُولَ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا"

Wa annaa zanannaaa al lan taqoolal insu wal jinnu 'alal laahi kazibaa

We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God,

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا"

Wa annahoo kaana rijaa lum minal insi ya'oozoona birijaalim minal jinni fazaa doohum rahaqaa

But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness;

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنْ لَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ أَحَدًا"

Wa annahum zannoo kamaa zanantum al lany yab'asal laahu ahadaa

So they began to think, even as you do, that God would not resurrect any one.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا"

Wa annaa lamasnas sa maaa'a fa wajadnaahaa muli'at harasan shadeedanw wa shuhubaa

We sought to pry into the secrets of the heavens, but found it full of fierce guards and shooting flames.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَنْ يَسْتَمِعِ الْآنَ يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَابًا رَصَدًا"

Wa annaa kunnaa naq'udu minhaa maqaa'ida lis'sam'i famany yastami'il aana yajid lahoo shihaabar rasada

We sat in observatories to listen; but any one who listened found a shooting star in wait for him.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا"

Wa annaa laa nadreee asharrun ureeda biman fil ardi am araada bihim rabbuhum rashadaa

We do not know if this means ill for the dwellers of the earth, or their Lord wishes guidance for them.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 10

"وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا"

Wa annaa minnas saalihoona wa minnaa doona zaalika kunnaa taraaa'ilqa qidadaa

For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنْ لَنْ نُعْجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَنْ نُعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا"

Wa annaa zanannaaa al lan nu'jizal laaha fil ardi wa lan nu'jizahoo harabaa

We realised that we could not weaken the power of God on earth, nor outpace Him by running away.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَىٰ آمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ فَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِرَبِّهِ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا"

Wa annaa lammaa sami'nal hudaaa aamannaa bihee famany yu'mim bi rabbihee falaa yakhaafu bakhsanw wa laa rahaqaa

So when we heard the guidance we believed in it; and he who believes in his Lord will neither fear loss nor force.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا"

Wa annaa minnal muslimoona wa minnal qaasitoona faman aslama fa ulaaa'ika taharraw rashadaa

Some of us have come to submission, and some of us are iniquitous.?" Those who have submitted have taken the right course;

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا"

Wa ammal qaasitoona fa kaanoo li jahannama hatabaa

But those who are iniquitous will be fuel for Hell.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 15

"وَأَنْ لَوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُمْ مَاءً غَدَقًا"

Wa alla wis taqaamoo 'alat tareeqati la asqaynaahum maa'an ghadaqaa

(Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 16

"لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُعْرِضْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا"

Linaftinahum feeh; wa many yu'rid 'an zikri rabbihee yasluk hu 'azaaban sa'adaa

In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him."

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا"

Wa annal masaajida lillaahi falaa tad'oo ma'al laahi ahadaa

All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا"

Wa annahoo lammaa qaama 'abdul laahi yad'oohu kaadoo yakoonoona 'alaihi libadaa

When the devotee of God stood up to invoke Him (the jinns) crowded upon him (to listen).

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 19

"قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا"

Qul innamaaa ad'oo rabbee wa laaa ushriku biheee ahadaa

Say: "I call on my Lord alone and I do not associate any one with Him."

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 20

"قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا"

Qul innee laaa amliku lakum darranw wa laa rashadaa

Say: "Neither is your loss within my power nor bringing you to guidance."

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 21

"قُلْ إِنِّي لَنْ يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا"

Qul innee lany yujeeranee minal laahi ahad, wa lan ajida min doonihee multahadaa

Say: "No one can save me from God, nor can I find a place of refuge apart from Him,

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 22

"إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا"

Illaa balaagham minal laahi wa risaalaatih; wa many ya'sil laaha wa rasoolahoo fa inna lahoo naara jahannama khaalideena feehaaa abadaa

Unless I convey from God and deliver His message." For those who disobey God and His Apostle is the fire of Hell, where they will abide for ever;

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 23

"حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا"

Hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona fasaya'lamoona man ad'afu naasiranw wa aqallu 'adadaa

Until they see what they are promised, when they will understand who is weaker in aid and poorer in numbers.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 24

"قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ مَا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا"

Qul in adreee a qareebum maa too'adoona am yaj'alu lahoo rabbeee amadaa

Say: "I do not know if what is promised you is near, or if my Lord prolongs its term.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 25

"عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا"

'Aalimul ghaibi falaa yuzhiru alaa ghaibiheee ahadaa

He is the knower of the Unknown, and He does not divulge His secret to any one

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَىٰ مِنْ رَسُولٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْلُكُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ رَصَدًا"

Illaa manir tadaa mir rasoolin fa innahoo yasluku mim baini yadaihi wa min khalfihee rasadaa

Other than an apostle He has chosen, when He makes a sentinel walk in front of him and a sentinel behind,

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 27

"لِيَعْلَمَ أَنْ قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَدَدًا"

Liya'lama an qad ablaghoo risaalaati rabbihim wa ahaata bima ladihim wa ahsaa kulla shai'in 'adadaa

So that He may know if they have delivered their Lord?s messages. He comprehends all that has been given them, and keeps count of everything.

Surah Number : 72 , Ayat Number : 28

يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ

Ya aiyuhal muzzammil

O YOU ENWRAPPED in the cloak (of Prophethood),

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 1

"قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا"

Qumil laila illaa qaleelaa

Keep watch all the night except some,

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 2

"نِصْفَهُ أَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا"

Nisfahooo awinqus minhu qaleelaa

A half of it or a little less

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 3

"أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا"

Aw zid 'alaihi wa rattilil Qur'aana tarteela

Or a little more, and recite the Qur?an slowly and distinctly.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 4

"إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا"

Innaa sanulqee 'alaika qawalan saqeelaa

We shall soon entrust to you a message heavy (with solemnity).

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 5

"إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْئًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا"

Inn naashi'atal laili hiya ashadddu wat anw wa aqwamu qeelaa

Surely in the watches of the night the soul is most receptive and words more telling.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 6

"إِنَّ لَكَ فِي النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا"

Inna laka fin nahaari sabhan taweelaa

Indeed during the day you have a long schedule of occupations.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ …َلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا"

Wazkuris ma rabbika wa tabattal ilaihi tabteelaa

But recite the name of your Lord withdrawing yourself from everything, devoting yourself exclusively to Him.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 8

"رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا"

Rabbul mashriqi wal maghriibi laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fattakhizhu wakeelaa

He is the Lord of the East and the West. There is no god but He. So take Him alone as your protector.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا"

Wasbir 'alaa maa yaqoo loona wahjurhum hajran jameelaa

Bear with patience what they say, and gracefully come away from them.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 10

"وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا"

Wa zarnee walmukaz zibeena ulin na'mati wa mahhilhum qaleelaa

Leave those to Me who deny, the lovers of ease and comfort; and bear with them for a while.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 11

"إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنْكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا"

Inna ladainaaa ankaalanw wa jaheemaa

Verily We shall have fetters with Us, and a roaring furnace,

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا"

Wa ta'aaman zaa ghussa tinw wa'azaaban aleemaa

And food that will stick in the throat, and painful torment

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 13

"يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَهِيلًا"

Yawma tarjuful ardu waljibaalu wa kaanatil jibaalu kaseebam maheelaa

On the day the earth and mountains will rock violently, and the mountains turn to a heap of poured-out sand.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 14

"إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا"

Innaa arsalnaaa ilaikum rasoolan shahidan 'alikum kamaaa arsalnaaa ilaa Fir'awna Rasoolan

We have sent an Apostle to you as a witness against you, as We had sent an apostle to the Pharaoh.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 15

"فَعَصَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا"

Fa'asaa Fir'awnur Rasoola fa akhaznaahu akhzanw wabeelaa

But the Pharaoh disobeyed the apostle; so We seized him with a grievous punishment.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 16

"فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبًا"

Fakaifa tattaqoona in kafartum yawmany yaj'alul wildaana sheeba

How then, if you disbelieve, will you preserve yourselves on the day which will even turn the children hoary?

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 17

"السَّمَاءُ مُنْفَطِرٌ بِهِ ۚ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَفْعُولًا"

Assamaaa'u munfatirum bih; kaana wa'duhoo maf'oola

The heavens itself will be rent asunder (on that day). His promise is bound to be fulfilled.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 18

"إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا"

Inna haazihee tazkiratun fa man shaaa'at takhaza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa

Verily this is a reminder. So let him who desires take the way to his Lord.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 19

"۞ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِنْ ثُلُثَيِ اللَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُ وَثُلُثَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ عَلِمَ أَنْ لَنْ تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ۚ عَلِمَ أَنْ سَيَكُونُ مِنْكُمْ مَرْضَىٰ ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ ۚ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا ۚ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ"

Inna Rabbaka ya'lamu annaka taqoomu adnaa min sulusa yil laili wa nisfahoo wa sulusahoo wa taaa'ifatum minal lazeena ma'ak; wal laahu yuqaddirul laila wanna haar; 'alima al lan tuhsoohu fataaba 'alaikum faqra'oo maa tayassara minal quraan; 'alima an sa yakoonu minkum mardaa wa aakharoona yadriboona fil ardi yabtaghoona min fadlil laahi wa aakharoona yuqaatiloona fee sabeelil laahi faqra'oo ma tayassara minhu wa aqeemus salaata wa aatuz zakaata wa aqridul laaha qardan hasanaa; wa maa tuqadimoo li anfusikum min khairin tajidoohu 'indal laahi huwa khayranw wa a'zama ajraa; wastaghfirul laahaa innal laaha ghafoorur raheem.

Your Lord surely knows that you are occupied with your devotions for nearly two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or one-third of it, as do many others with you. Yet God prescribes the measure of night and day. He knows you cannot calculate it, and so turns to you in benevolence. So recite as much of the Qur?an as you can easily. He knows some among you will be sick, and some will be travelling over the earth in search of the bounty of God, and some fighting in the way of God. So read as much from it as you can easily, and be firm in devotion, pay the zakat, and lend a goodly loan to God. And what you send for yourself of the good, you will find it with God better and greater in reward. So ask for God?s forgiveness. Indeed God is forgiving and kind.

Surah Number : 73 , Ayat Number : 20

يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ

Yaaa ayyuhal muddassir

O YOU ENFOLDED in your mantle (of reform),

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 1

"قُمْ فَأَنْذِرْ"

Qum fa anzir

Arise and warn,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ"

Wa rabbaka fakabbir

Glorify your Lord,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 3

"وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ"

Wa siyaabaka fatahhir

Purify your inner self,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 4

"وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْ"

Warrujza fahjur

And banish all trepidation.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُ"

Wa laa tamnun tastaksir

Do not bestow favours in expectation of return,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَلِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ"

Wa li Rabbika fasbir

And persevere in the way of your Lord.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ"

Fa izaa nuqira fin naaqoor

For when the trumpet blows

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 8

"فَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرٌ"

Fazaalika yawma 'iziny yawmun 'aseer

It will be a day of distress,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 9

"عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ"

'Alal kaafireena ghairu yaseer

Dolorous for the unbelievers.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 10

"ذَرْنِي وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا"

Zarnee wa man khalaqtu waheedaa

Leave him to Me whom I created alone,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَمْدُودًا"

Wa ja'altu lahoo maalam mamdoodaa

And gave him abundant wealth

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 12

"وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًا"

Wa baneena shuhoodaa

And sons always present by his side,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَمَهَّدْتُ لَهُ تَمْهِيدًا"

Wa mahhattu lahoo tamheeda

And made things easy for them.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 14

"ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ"

Summa yat ma'u an azeed

Yet he wants that I should give him more.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 15

"كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًا"

Kallaaa innahoo kaana li Aayaatinaa 'aneedaa

Never. He is refractory of Our signs.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 16

"سَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًا"

Sa urhiquhoo sa'oodaa

I shall inflict on him hardship,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 17

"إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ"

Innahoo fakkara wa qaddar

For he had thought and calculated.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 18

"فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ"

Faqutila kayfa qaddar

May he be accursed, how he planned!

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 19

"ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ"

Summa qutila kaifa qaddar

May be then be accursed, how he plotted!

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 20

"ثُمَّ نَظَرَ"

Summa nazar

Then he looked around,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 21

"ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ"

Summa 'abasa wa basar

And frowned and puckered his brow,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 22

"ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ"

Summaa adbara wastakbar

Then turned his back and waxed proud,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 23

"فَقَالَ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ"

Faqaala in haazaaa illaa sihruny yu'sar

And said: "This is nothing but the magic of old,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 24

"إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ"

In haazaaa illaa qawlul bashar

Nothing more than the speech of a man!"

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 25

"سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ"

Sa usleehi saqar

I will cast him into the fire of Hell.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ"

Wa maaa adraaka maa saqar

What do you think Hell-fire is?

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 27

"لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ"

Laa tubqee wa laa tazar

It leaves nothing, nor does it spare;

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 28

"لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِ"

Lawwaahatul lilbashar

It glows and burns the skin.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 29

"عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ"

'Alaihaa tis'ata 'ashar

Over it are nineteen (guards).

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 30

"وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً ۙ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَانًا ۙ وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۙ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْبَشَرِ"

Wa maaja'alnaaa As-haaban naari illaa malaaa 'ikatanw wa maa ja'alnaa 'iddatahum illaa fitnatal lillazeena kafaroo liyastaiqinal lazeena ootul kitaaba wa yazdaadal lazeena aamanooo eemaananw wa laa yartaabal lazeena ootul kitaaba walmu'minoona wa liyaqoolal lazeena fee quloo bihim maradunw walkaafiroona maazaaa araadal laahu bihaazaa masalaa; kazaalika yudillul laahu mai yashaaa'u wa yahdee mai yashaaa'; wa maa ya'lamu junooda rabbika illaa hoo; wa maa hiya illaa zikraa lil bashar

We have not appointed any one but angels as keepers of Hell, and their number that We have fixed is to make it a means of contention for disbelievers, so that those who were given the Book may be certain, and the faith of the believers may have greater increase, and the people of the Book and believers may not be deceived, and the sceptics and infidels may say: "What does God mean by this parable?" That is how God leads whosoever He will astray, and guides whosoever He will. None knows the armies of your Lord save Him self. This is no more than reminder for mankind.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 31

"كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ"

Kallaa walqamar

I say the truth, and call the moon to witness,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 32

"وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ"

Wallaili id adbar

And the night when on the wane,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ"

Wassub hi izaaa asfar

The morning when it is unveiled,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 34

"إِنَّهَا لَإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ"

Innahaa la ihdal kubar

That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs),

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 35

"نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ"

Nazeeral lilbashar

A warning for people --

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 36

"لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَّرَ"

Liman shaaa'a minkum any yataqaddama aw yata akhkhar

Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 37

"كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِينَةٌ"

Kullu nafsim bim kasabat raheenah

Every soul is pledged to what it does,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 38

"إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْيَمِينِ"

Illaaa as haabal yameen

Except those of the right hand

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 39

"فِي جَنَّاتٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ"

Fee jannaatiny yata saaa'aloon

Sitting in the gardens, asking

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 40

"عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ"

'Anil mujrimeen

Of evil-doers:

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 41

"مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ"

Maa salakakum fee saqar

"What was it that brought you to Hell?"

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 42

"قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ"

Qaaloo lam naku minal musalleen

They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 43

"وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ"

Wa lam naku nut'imul miskeen

And did not feed the needy,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ"

Wa kunnaa nakhoodu ma'al khaaa'ideen

And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate,

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ"

Wa kunnaa nukazzibu bi yawmid Deen

And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 46

"حَتَّىٰ أَتَانَا الْيَقِينُ"

Hattaaa ataanal yaqeen

Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 47

"فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ"

Famaa tanfa'uhum shafaa'atush shaafi'een

So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 48

"فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ"

Famaa lahum 'anittazkirati mu'rideen

Why then do they turn away from the admonition

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 49

"كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُسْتَنْفِرَةٌ"

Ka annahum humurum mustanfirah

As though they were frightened asses

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 50

"فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ"

Farrat min qaswarah

Fleeing from a lion?

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 51

"بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةً"

Bal yureedu kullum ri'im minhum any yu'taa suhufam munashsharah

In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets).

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 52

"كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ لَا يَخَافُونَ الْآخِرَةَ"

Kallaa bal laa yakhaafoonal aakhirah

By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 53

"كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ"

Kallaaa innahoo tazkirah

Never so, as this is a reminder.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 54

"فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ"

Fa man shaaa'a zakarah

Let him then who heeds remember it.

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 55

"وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ"

Wa maa yazkuroona illaaa any yashaaa'al laah; Huwa ahlut taqwaa wa ahlul maghfirah

But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving

Surah Number : 74 , Ayat Number : 56

لَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

Laaa uqsimu bi yawmil qiyaamah

I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 1

"وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ"

Wa laaa uqsimu bin nafsil lawwaamah

And I call the reprehensive soul to witness:

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 2

"أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ"

Ayahsabul insaanu al lan najm'a 'izaamah

Does man think We shall not put his bones together?

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 3

"بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ"

Balaa qaadireena 'alaaa an nusawwiya banaanah

Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 4

"بَلْ يُرِيدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ"

Bal yureedul insaanu liyafjura amaamah

Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 5

"يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ"

Yas'alu ayyyaana yawmul qiyaamah

He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?"

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 6

"فَإِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ"

Fa izaa bariqal basar

Yet when the eyes are dazzled,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ"

Wa khasafal qamar

The moon eclipsed,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ"

Wa jumi'ash shamusu wal qamar

And the sun and moon are conjoined,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 9

"يَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ"

Yaqoolul insaanu yaw ma 'izin aynal mafarr

That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?"

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 10

"كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ"

Kallaa laa wazar

Never so, for there will be no escape.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 11

"إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ"

Ilaa rabbika yawma 'izinil mustaqarr

With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 12

"يُنَبَّأُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ"

Yunabba 'ul insaanu yawma 'izim bimaa qaddama wa akhkhar

Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 13

"بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ"

Balil insaanu 'alaa nafsihee baseerah

In fact man is a witness against himself,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ"

Wa law alqaa ma'aazeerah

Whatever the excuses he may offer.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 15

"لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ"

Laa tuharrik bihee lisaa naka lita'jala bih

Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 16

"إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ"

Inna 'alainaa jam'ahoo wa qur aanah

Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 17

"فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ"

Fa izaa qaraanaahu fattabi' qur aanah

So, as We recite it, follow its reading.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 18

"ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ"

Summa inna 'alainaa bayaanah

The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 19

"كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ"

Kallaa bal tuhibboonal 'aajilah

But no. You love this transient life,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ"

Wa tazaroonal Aakhirah

And neglect the Hereafter.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 21

"وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ"

Wujoohuny yawma 'izin naadirah

How many faces will be refulgent on that Day,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 22

"إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ"

Wujoohuny yawma 'izin naadirah

Waiting for their Lord.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ"

Wa wujoohuny yawma 'izim baasirah

And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 24

"تَظُنُّ أَنْ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ"

Tazunnu any yuf'ala bihaa faaqirah

Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 25

"كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ"

Kallaaa izaa balaghatit taraaqee

Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ"

Wa qeela man raaq

And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?"

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ"

Wa zanna annahul firaaq

He will then realise it is the parting,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 28

"وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ"

Waltaffatis saaqu bissaaq

And anguish will be heaped upon anguish:

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 29

"إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ"

Ilaa rabbika yawma'izinil masaaq

To your Lord then will be the driving.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 30

"فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ"

Falaa saddaqa wa laa sallaa

For he neither believed nor prayed,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 31

"وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ"

Wa laakin kazzaba wa tawalla

But only disavowed and turned away;

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 32

"ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰ"

Summa zahaba ilaaa ahlihee yatamatta

Then he strutted back to his people.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 33

"أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ"

Awlaa laka fa awlaa

Alas the woe for you, alas!

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 34

"ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ"

Summa awlaa laka fa awla

Alas, the woe for you!

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 35

"أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدًى"

Ayahsabul insaanu ai yutraka sudaa

Does man think that he will be left alone to himself, free?

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 36

"أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ"

Alam yaku nutfatam mim maniyyiny yumnaa

Was he not an emitted drop of semen,

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 37

"ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ"

Summa kaana 'alaqata fakhalaq fasawwaa

Then formed into an embryo? Then He fashioned, shaped and proportioned

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ"

Faja'ala minhuz zawjayniz zakara wal unsaa

And assigned it sexes, male and female.

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 39

"أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ"

Alaisa zaalika biqaadirin 'alaaa any yuhyiyal mawtaa

Cannot such as He bring the dead to life?

Surah Number : 75 , Ayat Number : 40

هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا

Hal ataa 'alal insaani heenum minad dahri lam yakun shai'am mazkooraa

WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing?

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 1

"إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا"

Innaa khalaqnal insaana min nutfatin amshaajin nabta leehi faja'alnaahu samee'am baseeraa

Verily We created man from a sperm yoked (to the ovum) to bring out his real substance, then gave him hearing and sight.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 2

"إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا"

Innaa hadainaahus sabeela immaa shaakiranw wa immaa kafoora

We surely showed him the way that he may either be grateful or deny.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 3

"إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا"

Innaaa a'tadnaa lilkaa fireena salaasila wa aghlaalanw wa sa'eeraa

We have prepared for unbelievers chains and collars and a blazing fire.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 4

"إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا"

innal abraara yashra boona min kaasin kaana mizaa juhaa kaafooraa

Surely the devotees will drink cups flavoured with palm blossoms

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 5

"عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا"

'Aynany yashrabu bihaa 'ibaadul laahi yafajjiroonahaa tafjeeraa

From a spring of which the votaries of God will drink and make it flow in abundance.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 6

"يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا"

Yoofoona binnazri wa yakhaafoona yawman kaana sharruhoo mustateeraa

Those who fulfil their vows and fear the Day whose evil shall be diffused far and wide,

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 7

"وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا"

Wa yut''imoonat ta'aama 'alaa hubbihee miskeenanw wa yateemanw wa aseeraa

And feed the needy for the love of Him, and the orphans and the captives,

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 8

"إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا"

Innaamaa nut'imukum li wajhil laahi laa nureedu minkum jazaaa'anw wa laa shukooraa

(Saying): "We feed you for the sake of God, desiring neither recompense nor thanks.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 9

"إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا"

Innaa nakhaafu mir Rabbinna Yawman 'aboosan qamtareeraa

We fear the dismal day calamitous from our Lord."

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 10

"فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا"

Fa waqaahumul laahu sharra zaalikal yawmi wa laqqaahum nadratanw wa surooraa

So God will protect them from the evil of that day, and grant them happiness and joy,

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 11

"وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا"

Wa jazaahum bimaa sabaroo janatanw wa hareeraa

And reward them for their perseverence Paradise and silken robes,

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 12

"مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا"

muttaki'eena feeha 'alal araaa 'iki laa yarawna feehaa shamsanw wa laa zamhareeraa

Where they will recline on couches feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا"

Wa daaniyatan 'alaihim zilaaluhaa wa zullilat qutoofu haa tazleela

The shadows will bend over them, and low will hang the clusters of grapes.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَةٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا"

Wa yutaafu 'alaihim bi aaniyatim min fiddatinw wa akwaabin kaanat qawaareeraa

Passed round will be silver flagons and goblets made of glass,

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 15

"قَوَارِيرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا"

Qawaareera min fiddatin qaddaroohaa taqdeeraa

And crystal clear bottles of silver, of which they will determine the measure themselves.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 16

"وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنْجَبِيلًا"

Wa yuskawna feehaa kaasan kaana mizaajuhaa zanjabeelaa

There will they drink a cup flavoured with ginger

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 17

"عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا"

'Aynan feeha tusammaa salsabeelaa

From a spring by the name of Ever-flowing-Salsabil.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 18

"۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَنْثُورًا"

Wa yatoofu 'alaihim wildaanum mukhalladoona izaa ra aytahum hasibtahum lu'lu 'am mansoora

And boys of everlasting youth will go about attending them. Looking at them you would think that they were pearls dispersed.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا"

Wa izaa ra ayta summa ra ayta na'eemanw wa mulkan kabeera

When you look around, you will see delights and great dominion.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 20

"عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا"

'Aaliyahum siyaabu sundusin khudrunw wa istabraq, wa hullooo asaawira min fiddatinw wa saqaahum Rabbuhum sharaaban tahooraa

On their bodies will be garments of the finest green silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a purest draught to drink.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 21

"إِنَّ هَٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَشْكُورًا"

Innaa haazaa kaana lakum jazz 'anw wa kaana sa'yukum mashkooraa

"This in truth is your recompense, and acceptance of your endeavours."

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 22

"إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنْزِيلًا"

Innaa nahnu nazzalnaa 'alaikal quraana tanzeelaa

We have revealed the Qur?an to you gradually;

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 23

"فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا"

Fasbir lihukmi Rabbika wa laa tuti' minhum aasiman aw kafooraa

So wait for your Lord?s command, and do not follow any sinner or disbeliever among them.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 24

"وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا"

Wazkuris ma Rabbika bukratanw wa aseelaa

Meditate upon the name of your Lord morning and evening;

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 25

"وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا"

Wa minal laili fasjud lahoo wa sabbihhu lailan taweelaa

And bow in homage part of the night, and glorify Him far into the night.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 26

"إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا"

Inna haaa'ulaa'i yuhibboona 'aajilata wa yazaroona waraaa'ahum yawman saqeelaa

Surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead).

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 27

"نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا"

Nahnu khalaqnaahum wa shadadnaaa asrahum wa izaa shi'naa baddalnaaa amsaala hum tabdeelaa

We created them and fixed their bones and joints; and We could replace them when We like with others like them.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 28

"إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا"

Inna haazihee tazkiratun fa man shaaa'at takhaza ilaa rabbihee sabeela

This surely is a reminder: Therefore whosoever desires may take the way to his Lord.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 29

"وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا"

Wa maa tashaaa'oona illaa anyyashaaa'al laah; innal laahaa kaana'Aleeman Hakeema

But you will not desire except as God wills. Verily He is all-knowing and all-wise.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 30

"يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا"

Yudkhilu mai yashaaa'u fee rahmatih; wazzaalimeena a'adda lahum 'azaaban aleemaa

He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment.

Surah Number : 76 , Ayat Number : 31

وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا

Wal mursalaati'urfaa

I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 1

"فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا"

Fal'aasifaati 'asfaa

And those that strike violently,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 2

"وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا"

Wannaashiraati nashraa

And those that revive by quickening,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 3

"فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا"

Falfaariqaati farqaa

And those that distinguish distinctly,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 4

"فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا"

Falmulqiyaati zikra

And those that bring down the Reminder

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 5

"عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا"

'Uzran aw nuzraa

To end all argument or to warn.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 6

"إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ"

Innamaa too'adoona lawaaqi'

What is promised will surely come to pass.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 7

"فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ"

Fa izam nujoomu tumisat

When the stars are obliterated,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 8

"وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ"

Wa izas samaaa'u furijat

The heavens split asunder,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 9

"وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ"

Wa izal jibaalu nusifat

The mountains reduced to dust and blown away,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 10

"وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ"

Wa izar Rusulu uqqitat

And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) --

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 11

"لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ"

Li ayyi yawmin ujjilat

For what day is that time fixed?

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 12

"لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ"

Li yawmil Fasl

The Day of Judgement.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 13

"وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ"

Wa maaa adraaka maa yawmul fasl

How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is?

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 14

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma 'izillilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 15

"أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ"

Alam nuhlikil awwaleen

Have We not destroyed the earlier generations?

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 16

"ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ"

Summa nutbi'uhumul aakhireen

So shall We make the later ones to follow them.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 17

"كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ"

Kazzalika naf'alu bilmujrimeen

That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailunw yawma 'izil lil mukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 19

"أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ"

Alam nakhlukkum mimmaaa'im maheen

Did We not create you from contemptible water?

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 20

"فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ"

Faja'alnaahu fee qaraarim makeen

Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb)

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 21

"إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ"

Illaa qadrim ma'loom

For a certain appointed time,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ"

Faqadarnaa fani'mal qaadiroon

Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 23

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 24

"أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا"

Alam naj'alil arda kifaataa

Have We not made the earth a repository

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 25

"أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا"

Ahyaaa'anw wa amwaataa

For the living and the dead,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 26

"وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا"

Wa ja'alnaa feehaa rawaasiya shaamikhaatinw wa asqainaakum maaa'an furaataa

And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink?

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 27

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 28

"انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ"

Intaliqooo ilaa maa kuntum bihee tukazziboon

"Go to what you used to deny;

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 29

"انْطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ"

Intaliqooo ilaa zillin zee salaasi shu'ab

Go to the shadow with three ramifications,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 30

"لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ"

Laa zaleelinw wa laa yughnee minal lahab

Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 31

"إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ"

Innahaa tarmee bishararin kalqasr

It will throw out sparks as logs of wood

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 32

"كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ"

Ka annahoo jimaalatun sufr

So like golden camels."

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 33

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmukazibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 34

"هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ"

Haazaa yawmu laa uantiqoon

They will not be able to speak that day,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 35

"وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ"

Wa laa yu'zanu lahum fa ya'taziroon

Nor given leave to make excuses.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailunw yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 37

"هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ"

Haaza yawmul fasli jama 'naakum wal awwaleen

That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations).

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ"

Fa in kaana lakum kaidun fakeedoon

So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 39

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 40

"إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ"

Innal muttaqeena fee zilaalinw wa 'uyoon

Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water,

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 41

"وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ"

Wa fawaakiha mimmaa yashtahoon

And such fruits as they desire.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 42

"كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ"

Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

"Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done."

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 43

"إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ"

Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

That is how We reward the good.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 44

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailuny yawma 'izil lilmuzkazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 45

"كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ"

Kuloo wa tamatta'oo qaleelan innakum mujrimoon

Eat and enjoy for a while: You are certainly sinners.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ"

Wa izaa qeela lahumur ka'oo aa yarka'oon

When it is said to them: "Bow in homage," they do not bow.

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ"

Wailunny yawma 'izil lilmukazzibeen

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Surah Number : 77 , Ayat Number : 49

"فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ"

Fabi ayyi hadeesim ba'dahoo yu'minoon (End Juz 29)

In what other lore after this will they then believe?
