وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوً

Waz-zaariyaati zarwaa

I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 1

"فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا"

Falhaamilaati wiqraa

And those who bear the load (of rain),

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 2

"فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا"

Faljaariyaati yusraa

And those who move (on the water) gently,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 3

"فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا"

Falmuqassimaati amraa

And those who distribute (it) by command,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 4

"إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ"

Innamaa too'adoona la-saadiq

Verily the promise made to you is true:

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 5

"وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ"

Wa innad deena la waaqi'

The Judgement will indeed take place.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 6

"وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ"

Wassamaaa'i zaatil hubuk

The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 7

"إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ"

Innakum lafee qawlim mukhtalif

You are surely caught in contradictions.,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 8

"يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ"

Yu'faku 'anhu man ufik

From which only he turns who is turned away.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 9

"قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ"

Qutilal kharraasoon

Perish will those who just guess and speculate,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 10

"الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ"

Allazeena hum fee ghamratin saahoon

Who are lost in deception.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 11

"يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ"

Yas'aloona ayyaana yawmud Deen

They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" --

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 12

"يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ"

Yawma hum 'alan naari yuftanoon

The day they will be burnt in the Fire,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 13

"ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ"

Zooqoo fitnatakum haa zal lazee kuntum bihee tas ta'jiloon

(And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 14

"إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ"

Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 15

"آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ"

Aakhizeena maaa aataahum Rabbuhum; innahum kaanoo qabla zaalika muhsineen

Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 16

"كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ"

kaanoo qaleelam minal laili maa yahja'oon

They slept little in the night,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 17

"وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ"

Wa bilashaari hum yastaghfiroon

And every morning asked forgiveness,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 18

"وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ"

Wa feee amwaalihim haqqul lissaaa'ili walmahroom

In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 19

"وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ"

Wa fil ardi aayaatul lilmooqineen

There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 20

"وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ"

Wa feee anfusikum; afalaa tubsiroon

And within yourselves. Can you not perceive?

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 21

"وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ"

Wa fissamaaa'i rizqukum wa maa too'adoon

There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 22

"فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ"

Fawa Rabbis samaaa'i wal ardi innahoo lahaqqum misla maa annakum tantiqoon

By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 23

"هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ"

Hal ataaka hadeesu daifi Ibraaheemal mukrameen

Has the story of Abraham?s honoured guests come to you?

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 24

"إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ"

Iz dakhaloo 'alaihi faqaaloo salaaman qaala salaamun qawmum munkaroon

When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 25

"فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ"

Faraagha ilaaa ahlihee fajaaa'a bi'ijlin sameen

So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 26

"فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ"

Faqarrabahooo ilaihim qaala alaa taakuloon

And placing it before them said: "Won?t you eat?"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 27

"فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ"

Fa awjasa minhum khee fatan qaaloo laa takhaf wa bashsharoohu bighulaamin 'aleem

He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 28

"فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ"

Fa aqbalatim ra-atuhoo fee sarratin fasakkat wajhahaa wa qaalat 'ajoozun 'aqeem

His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 29

"قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ"

Qaaloo kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki innahoo huwal hakeemul 'aleem (End Juz 26)

They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 30

"۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ"

Qaala famaa khatbukum ayyuhal mursaloon

He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 31

"قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ"

Qaalooo innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmim mujrimeen

They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 32

"لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ"

Linursila 'alaihim hijaa ratam min teen

So as to let loose clods of clay on them

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 33

"مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ"

Musawwamatan 'inda rabbika lilmusrifeen

Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 34

"فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ"

Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen

So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 35

"فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ"

Famaa wajadnaa feehaa ghaira baitim minal muslimeen

But did not find more than a single family of believers.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 36

"وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ"

Wa taraknaa feehaaa aayatal lillazeena yakhaafoonal 'azaabal aleem

We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 37

"وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ"

Wa fee Moosaaa iz arsalnaahu ilaa Fir'awna bisultaa nim mubeen

As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 38

"فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ"

Fatawalla biruknihee wa qaala saahirun aw majnoon

But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 39

"فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ"

Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem

So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 40

"وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ"

Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem

In ?Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 41

"مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ"

Maa tazaru min shai'in atat 'alaihi illaa ja'alat hu karrameem

Which turned everything it touched to ashes.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 42

"وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ"

Wa fee Samooda iz qeela lahum tamatta''oo hattaa heen

And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;"

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 43

"فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ"

Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazal humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon

But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape,

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 44

"فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ"

Famas tataa'oo min qiyaaminw wa maa kaanoo muntasireen

And neither stand up nor defend themselves.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 45

"وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ"

Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen

(So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 46

"وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ"

Wassamaaa'a banainaa haa bi aydinw wa innaa lamoosi'oon

We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 47

"وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ"

Wal arda farashnaahaa fani'mal maahidoon

We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide!

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 48

"وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ"

Wa min kulli shai'in khalaqnaa zawjaini la'allakum tazakkaroon

And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 49

"فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Fafirrooo ilal laahi innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 50

"وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ"

Wa laa taj'aloo ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen

Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 51

"كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ"

Kazaalika maaa atal lazeena min qablihim mir Rasoolin illaa qaaloo saahirun aw majnoon

Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man."

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 52

"أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ"

Atawaasaw bih; bal hum qawmun taaghoon

Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 53

"فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ"

Fatawalla 'anhum famaaa anta bimaloom

Turn away from them. You will not be blamed.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 54

"وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ"

Wa zakkir fa innaz zikraa tanfa'ul mu'mineen

But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 55

"وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ"

Wa maa khalaqtul jinna wal insa illaa liya'budoon

I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 56

"مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ"

Maaa ureedu minhum mir rizqinw wa maaa ureedu anyyut'imoon

I want no sustenance from them nor do I want them to feed Me.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 57

"إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ"

Innal laaha Huwar Razzaaqu Zul Quwwatil Mateen

God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 58

"فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ"

Fa inna lillazeena zalamoo zanoobam misla zanoobi ashaabihim falaa yasta'jiloon

Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment).

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 59

"فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ"

Fawailul lillazeena kafaroo miny yawmihimul lazee yoo'adoon

Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them.

Surah Number : 51 , Ayat Number : 60
